On behalf of the Stone House Quilters, I cannot say thank you enough for this delightful review of our 2024 quilt show. You have shared such detail in both word, photo, and video! We appreciate that you took time to tell about the quilter and the background for each quilt that you featured. As President of the SHQ Guild, I am going to share, share, share this video. Your extensive review of our Show will help to serve as a launching pad for the show in 2025. Thanks again and again. Shelly
Thank you for this post! I started quitting last year and this was my first time attending a quilt show. I was so excited and inspired by the beautiful quilts that I came home and finished an improv quilt top I’d been hesitating to move forward on! Afterwards I realized didn’t even think about taking any pictures at the show. 😢 Rookie move. That’s why l was so excited to find your video featuring many of the beautiful quilts that inspired me!
I stumbled upon you about six months ago. I went back and binged watched a lot of your earlier videos. When I saw this one, I thought about skipping it. I love it. I like that you say the name of the pattern so I can look it up if I wanna make that one. I’d like your colors and I like your joyful sharing. Thanks. I can never stay up late enough to watch your lives on Friday but I watch them later. I keep thinking I’m going to stay up so I can get into the giveaways. But I never do. I think that’s a sign because I don’t think I need more stuff and there are newer quilters out there that might really benefit from your goodies. I like that you’re consistent about posting too. Thanks!!!
Thank you for the lovely mini show! Loved those bags and the small ironing mats! The non slip rug backing is a great idea! Wish I could have made it up there this weekend-I was in Midlothian!
Loved them all!!!! I did a quilt using that northern lights panel for my daughter in Alaska. I also got the fabric from the shop in Fairbanks (and made her bring it down for me). It came out beautifully!
Eleanor Burns released the pattern for the Christmas quilts called Roundabout Stars Quilt several years ago. She later released the pattern again under the name Moon Dance. It was the same block pattern set in a modern quilt.I couldn't find the exact years they were released. I think you can still order them from her company Quilt in a Day!
What a fantastic quilt show. Absolutely gorgeous quilting. Thanks for taking the time to share them with all of us. What fun that your husband enjoys going too.
I don't normally give thumbs up to videos, but because you asked me and you're my FAVORITE person in the whole wide world to spend time with . . . I honored your wish with a LIKE!!! MWAH!!!!
Welcome!! I hope you get a flood of emails requesting those bags…there might be one coming from me. Jason really loved the tweed material, but wanted it in a “manly messenger” bag style.
I do love that TP mug. OMG! Great bargain on that $80 spend. Thanks for thread cutter info I’ve been drooling over that. This looks like it was an amazing quilt show with fabulous quilts. You’re spot on about the talent in your area.
OMG I have been wanting to go to a quilt show for DECADES! My town has had one yearly in July that always coincided with my weekend to work (I could never get vacation time in July either). There was one year that I had 90 minutes to see the show, what a tease! Well last year I was finally off!!! I registered for all kinds of classes and was planning on being there from open to close. The guild decided to cancel the show and retire it!😭 I can’t wait to retire and travel to a quilt show and maybe do a quilt cruise too!
