I just purchased a 2016 Odyssey. I’m very impressed with the durability of Honda products. My van has been taken care of impeccably. Only the 2 front door armrests are in need of repair. I guess the only previous owner liked to ride around,hunkered down, like some sorta gangsta. I will be fixing those this weekend. It’s a bit on the high mileage side, at 113k, but it drives and rides like it’s brand new.

Great video. It only turns down that it has only one charger in the front and one in the back. If I need to use a GPS and charge my phone I can't. Also there's no way to place a portable GPS but the rest is very nice !

I miss my Odyssey unfortunately I had to sell my 2017 Odyssey cause it had ignition coil problems. But a 2016-2017 Honda Odyssey I know I’m a 19 year old male but it’s my dream car

Great video! I just bought this vehicle, and found a feature you missed. On the back of the center console (between the driver and passenger seats) is something that flips out and is an empty square. What the heck is this thing? Like a garbage bag holder? I’m going to have to research... :)

thanks for a thorough review. I can't help notice how annoying using two screens can be. just watching you maneuver the camera from one screen to the other constantly will exactly be how ppl would be using the screens. constantly looking down, up, down, up. not efficient, not safe imo. I guess ppl get used to it or just use the steering wheel controls. but the bottom screen seems like a waste of "real estate".

Great review Mike. It helped a lot. Since the Odyssey is a minivan designed to seat more passengers than a crossover/sedan and very often needing to accommodate an infant's/child's carseat or two, it would have been helpful to have had a little more focus on that issue. Sticking a few carseats in that middle row and filming a few passengers getting into the 3rd row would be awesome!! I loved the detail on everything else. Thanks

First person to give a full detail review, u answered pretty much everything. I still have one question tho, does the Ex or any of the Odysseys come with power pedals, I have an O4 murano an it comes with this. Curious since is brand new model

+zoeluna619 Thanks! I don't think the Odyssey has adjustable pedals in any trim. A telescoping steering wheel is usually preferable and achieves the same result as adjustable pedals.

Judy Wentworth I disagree. The stow and go makes the seats super uncomfortable. They are like 2 inches thick and as hard as a rock.

Can you get second row captains chairs with footrests in the Odyssey Touring Elite? If so, can you also have a middle seat in between them? I know in the 2016 Kia Sedona SXL, you have to choose between the 2-seat second row with footrests, or the 3-seater without. Thanks.

Nice Odyssey. I thought that might of been a lease or used Honda. Was wrong when I seen only 167miles on it. I see lots dirt on the carpet in the back, and stuff on the door. Just dirtier than I expected. But that's just me, if its a new car, I want it flawless. Not a spec of anything on the carpet or what not. Anyway wish I could afford it. I'm looking at spending between 10-15k on a used 2007-2010 with under 100k. In good condition

When you get it Tommy, I recommend buying the car as new as possible. We got at 2009 with 100k miles for 14k and it was a horrible decision. It keeps needing repairs and now we have to trade it for the '16.

As a mechanic that loves doing his own work to his vehicle and keeping up with preventive maintenance. I don't like that you can't change the transmission fluid easily. Due to a sealed transmission. Because all the new cars want owners to buy a hole new transmission after you destroy it by running it into the ground. And just so happens the parts fail right after the warranty period is over. So slap in the face if you buy a new vehicle. All these bells and whissels don't mean squat if the vehicle is made to fail. I have a 1996 Ford and it has another 200k left to go if I want thoes miles.

Leather? What kept me from trading up from my 12 was I heard there was no leather, just "leather trimmed cloth". I see that the 17 does away with the beautiful styling of the previous models. Well, I like the styling a lot. So.. I'm going to have to think about a 16 then, huh?

I would rather be in Sacramento heat because the humidity is low. When it is 100 degrees and the humidity is 100% then your sweat doesn't evaporate and your body cannot cool off.

WARNING..When buying any Honda make sure you take it on the freeway test drive and drive it on the far left lane many of them have the issue of not driving straight.. steering pulls to the left. My brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey can only be driven on the far right lane. In Any other lanes it pulls to the left all the time.

Is it just me but in my opinion 2005 Honda Odyssey looks much better than this one especially outside....I guess HONDA will get new body and come back to more rounder shape in 2017. I do not like this square shape and sharp edges. Whoever is out there shopping do not buy 2016 model, wait for 2017 you be glad you did!

Yea the 05 odyssey was an awesome design! These newer ones look very trying to suv like! I think my next minivan will be a Toyota Sienna if they don’t fix g the design and maybe bump up the reliability a bit too like with the transmissions. Although the 21 sienna hybrid might be nice.

1. same engine again and again just changed the head with new heading , no timming chain means after 100k you should spend kind of 2000$ to change the belt + cooler and few belts same CVT transmission , 2. same model again and again Honda US do not want to make any change as they did in Asian version , so same thing just change back trunk strip and added SE edition , cabin noise is not great as sienna . 3. Multimedia sucks the second lcd screen is useless just usable to change stereo system
