I managed to wait until I read the book before watching your spoilery review XD I agree so much. The scene where Daniel is crying outside of his interview made me cry a bit. And the entire book was beautiful, and I was legitimately so scared for Aled the whole time. I was worried about what he would do, and what would be done to him. Very suspenseful, but not outwardly so? The writing wasn't in your face thrillerish, but the tension was weaved into all the details and I could just feel my stomach tighten as I read it.

I respect your willpower lol Honestly, I've expected Aled to wreck me the most but Daniel in that scene!!! I can't! And yes. While it wasn't a thriller it also at the same time kind of is? The tension was so good. I'd be interested to read a thriller or a mystery novel from her.

So glad you read this, as I have loved it since I read it ages ago. Such queer. So lovely. Especially enjoy the chapter that explains it is not a love story.
