We are at Bridge Creek in Cypress Texas Located NW of Houston attending a pre-sheetrock (frame) inspection. This is a new Taylor Morrison home. Our client hired a third party inspection company to come out and look at all of the mechanical (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) before the sheetrock goes up. This is a very critical time to get your new construction home inspected.

There was a home inspector just released a video showing these guys are preventing full pre close inspections. Makes you wonder what they're hiding.

Don't the builder or the company build has to provide a inspection to the city if so do you really need inspection done or depending on how detailed the builder is

Very good question. Yes, they do need city inspections. And the builder brings in another inspector. However, both are limited and the home buyer does not have access to the reports. I hope that helps.

What type of sheathing does this builder use? Is that reflective material a fire-resistant sheet? Thanks!

Those boards look horrible. How can that be okay? It looks like a 12 year old was given some poorly cut boards and a bunch of nails and told to make it work.
