Welcome back to the channel everyone. In this video I wanted to show you all a #traxxas Xmaxx vs. a Redcat Vigilante. Both of the trucks where currently on the shelf busted, and we have the parts to fix the Xmaxx. Plus it was a good time to show them side by side. The Xmaxx does have a few upgrades installed but no many. Stay tuned for the run video of both, we are getting into the nicer weather here in Washington. Its about time to get the #megaramp out. We will have to see how they both stand up to the test.

this is my first redcat i’ve ever been drawn too. I knew once i seen the truck it was a must have for sure. Now we wait for parts 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😭 My local hobbyshop definitely would have had my xmaxx back running same day. King xmaxx i suppose

I like the look of the redcat and its awesome to have an Xmaxx competitor.... but xmaxx is the king , thats why i have 2 of them 😅

I agree!! This redcat is nice!! But we shall see overtime. The support would have to be there. Not many hobby shops getting past traxxas anymore. All hail the king I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

You make any braces that’ll fit the Maxx slash? I’ve destroyed the bulkheads from the chassis flex

Did you try and mount the lower chassis brace for the Xmaxx on the vigilante? If so and if it works, I would get one

I think the xmax is junk. I had two of them and one the esc caught fire on the second pack and the other keeps breaking control arms . I don't extreme bask just what the road puts in front of it. Im waiting for my redcat to come. So I can't say much about that

My Xmaxx came with a dead esc. I despise Traxxas self removing body mounting system. It's clumsy and handles like crap. It just rolls and tumbles. It also breaks just as much as any other basher I have. The bulkheads/shock towers split rather easy and stock gears are garbage. The battery system sucks in both, Arrma is much better to me in every way. The Vigilante feels like you built an Arrma from plastic. It handles much better and bounces much less. They're both borderline underpowered compared to my 8s Outcast EXB. I'm going to put a Max 5 and big can motor in the Vigilante once Vitavon or whoever makes a new motor mount. The Xmaxx is to bendy and flexy for more power without major upgrades. I think the spongy flex also causes the atrocious handling. I think the Vigilante is a better platform to upgrade than the Xmaxx. After the big motor the Vigilante might be my favorite large scale basher but for now it's still the Arrma.

that’s the truth!! Did ya hear me say it? 🤙🏼 Thw redcat is cool for sure. i will say it broke my first trip out though. Kinda lame there😆

@@pnwRCMADNESS I actually didn’t hear you say it lol, the RedCat is really cool, I totally dig wider wheelbase hopefully they’ll make aftermarket parts for it soon.
