The number of times I've been roasted by ink shield is TOO DAMN HIGH. What a play.

Just a reminder for Teysa: She’s also a token commander. She gives lifelink and vigilance to tokens! That means that you can swing that deathtouch snake from ophiomancer all over the place and gain 1 life and most likely 1 damage for free, basically, because no one will waste a block on something that comes back. Granted, pinging people for one every turn also puts some bad vibes towards you, so that might be a reason not to, but negging people for one is a commander staple, imo.

at 25:30 when Jim goes to cycle, I think that you complete the action of discarding and drawing first (cycling), and then the damage happens to the gobo.. Not totally sure though, came to the comments to check and didn't see anything on it! Great game so far!

Dayummm what a game! Oh Olivia! The advance level mind games was sooo spicy. "I am actually not confident about my position here" - minutes later.. INKSHIELD (I had this for ages and kept my mana up waiting for this moment!!!) Lead your opponents in with that false sense of security. lol I think regardless he would have done what he did anyway but yeah. That drawn out Inkling token art seemed like a lil flex too. lol But thats ok! Not a judgement just an observation. We can revel in our victories as we don't win all the time after all. lol GG all

I can confirm that "Ísland" indeed is "Iceland" in Icelandic and In Faroese, which is the language I speak, it is slightly different for Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, as we have a special letter instead of the I we use "Í" so it's "Ísland" for Iceland, as do they, the Icelandic people spell these words the same way we do. therefore logic would dictate that "ís" means ice. it does this not only in Icelandic but in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish too, but in the 3 latter it's spelt "is (pronounced Ease)". the English word Island, on the other hand, is completely different, as it's spelt "oyggj" in Faroese hehe.

The wingbuffet alter for Teysa is really sweet. Really wonder where to get one.

There's something so fun about seeing gobblin deck pop off, even when it is making you loose. Though I tend to be a bit annoyed at how they can make the game feel short without a generous application of removal. Inkshield is such a fun coup-out kind of card. Discovered it while watching I think it was Game knight? (Might have been extra turn, just recall it being Jimmy) and I slotted it in a deck and managed an hillarious reversal like this one and just fell in love with it. It came up twice so far and both time it was a big game changer that led me to victory from the brink of defeat. (Also, checked Gatherer for the Runic Armasaurus, whoever said "it's a creature card in the graveyard, not a creature" was right, one of the rulings says "Runic Armasaur's ability doesn't trigger when an opponent activates an ability of a card in hand (such as a cycling ability from the Amonkhet block) or a card in a graveyard (such as that of Bone Dragon), even if that causes a card to be put onto the battlefield.")

Runic Armasaur will not trigger cause the activated ability is not coming from a creature. its coming from a creature CARD. Creatures are only actually creatures when they are on the battlefield. otherwise all creature cards are referred to as such: Creature CARD. Whenever a card refers to a creature and it DOESNT say "creature CARD" then it is referring to a creature that is on the battlefield.

After watching this I am putting Inksheild in my Elas il-Kor deck. Prevent the damage, get the tokens, gain the life!

Interesting. @35:42, 709.1c "A flip card’s colour and mana cost don’t change if the permanent is flipped. Also, any changes to it by external effects will still apply." (source: magicjudges organisation) Its kind of counter intuitive because once you flip a saga, that creature doesnt add devotion but it still retains the mana cost of the front side of the card? x.x I think #WotC needs to revisit 709.1c lol

Talrand might not be too flashy, but I'm a big fan of him as a Commander, 2/2s flyers can do work. I think it'd be a salty card to crack in a rare slot though, it's not like it's better than Tatyova type stuff at uncommon.

Tried Vite-Ramen once, cool company, like what they do and who they support but sorry to say I just didn't like the ramen at all. Take a regular bowl of ramen and stir in half a cup of protein powder and that's basically vite-ramen. It's so chalky I couldn't even finish a bowl of either of the chicken or pork flavors I tried.
