Despite the unique note breakdown, it somehow smelled familiar to me. Like in a long-lost Axe deodorant or something? I recall one reviewer a long while back mentioning that it smelled to him of hot, almost burning electronics and the association always stuck. 😄 As an herb, I do love dill though. Undoubtedly, that's where the menthol comes from. If you chew fresh dill on its own (especially the stem), half of its taste comes from mint. Ah mais oui, ca c'est toujours delice! 👨🍳
I really like this one. And it was a grower. I didn't liked it at first but the more i tried, the more i liked it. I eventually ended up buying it. Really nice cashmeran and osmathus based fragrance. Really alien-ish to me.
Yeah, these days when a designer house is planning a new line with an array of flankers, the baseline scent is right in the middle of the dartboard that makes no large statements (H24 is a good example). I happen to like this one, but I think it varies a lot by skin chemistry (which it actually shares with the original women's scent); I like it as a winter-time dumb reach, it's very comfortable - for some reason I've taken to wearing it when I plan to settle in and read for a while.
In my opinion, it smells good, but there are many fragrances that smell good... Mugler stole my heart with the A* Men line and I really have my gems here.❤
Man I love this one when I sampled it last summer that being said I still yet to get a full bottle but from what I remember (to me) it kinda smelt like dove for men clean comfort shower gel and deodorant line in a really good way because the clean comfort line by dove is amazing to me I absolutely love it
I got a sample a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised that, although it wasn’t amazing, it definitely wasn’t as bad as all of the RU-vid reviewer’s were saying, so when they blew it out on clearance at Nordstrom rack, I picked up 100 ML for around 40 bucks. I mean come on. It was probably gonna be, one of the last mugler male fragrances available so I figured why not. I don’t hate it. I don’t find myself going out of my way to wear it, but I’m glad I have it.
I bought this when it first came out and I agree with your thoughts as well. It smells good, but nothing exciting. I do enjoy the opening a lot though.
My main complaint is that it seems to me they went little cheap here, I am biggest Mugler fan but not fan of this one for sure. I am very sad about what is going on in Mugler's Men section. Great review you nailed it like you always do, didn't hear yet this good description.
I got Mugler Alien Fusion at its release and I thought it was OK. I've had 2 wearing at best and it's been on the shelf up until this video. To me it reminds me of a twist on Bond no.9 Haarlem. Synthetic as hell but I still kinda like it 😅
Thanks 😊 I completed a huge sample haul a few days ago on your site. My first try of your site and looking forward to spotlight your site on my samplin samples videos with said samples.
Not a fan of this one or Fusion, Marc. Mirage is the best of the three in my opinion. Mugler really screwed up when they discontinued the A*Men line. I get it, there were so many in the community screaming for an Alien Man line and were tired of the A*Men flankers. Well, you got what you wished for and how’d that work out for you? For me, Mugler is dead unless they decide to go back to the A*Men flankers, which probably won’t happen ‘cause they are so invested in the women’s lines. So sad what has happened to one of my favorite fragrance houses.
I had heard this was an absolute nuclear chemical disaster, so I skipped it until I got a sample in an order a few years ago. It wasn’t that wild, weird or different. I recall clean, soapy and some mild herbal notes. It felt like a Sephora shelf designer that tried to be 10% different. Meh. Wasn’t as horrible as i expected but it’s a clear loser release for the brand.
