It's like t4 lantern into t5 tergrid is worse than just untapping lantern

5 mana do nothing is rough to begin with but in a discard deck she might as well read "Please win the game opponent, I'm not trying to". If she was 3 mana and only triggered once per turn she'd probably be reasonably playable as your discard and sac effects will most likely still be in your hand. As designed she's about as playable as all of the other Kaldheim gods (which is to say: not).

Yeah, I've had success running her in golgari. Ramp into being able to play her plus a sac effect or something same turn.

@@SmugAmerican When she first got released I had a deck using the big green tree bro that triples your mana. Forcing people to discard/sacrifice/lose 3 life ten times each turn is pretty fun.

I quit playing a couple of months ago, too. It just got to the point where I was constantly grinding trying to get new cards just in time for a new set to drop and the meta to change, making all my effort worthless. That, plus the matchmaking algorithm was atrocious. I would be getting crushed every other match by the top meta deck, but if I tried to build a deck specifically to counter the meta I'd play exclusively off-meta matches. I was also really, really disappointed with the direction they took Historic. I had imagined it to be a place where all my draft grinding would be perennially useful, but instead they added a shit-ton of extremely powerful cards that can only be acquired with cash.

I quit Arena because I play paper. I played for a short while when Covid started. But the introduction of Alchemy caused me concern that they were going a direction wherein paper Magic would pay the cost. Been playing paper since Dissension.

Sonio did a deck yesterday using Forsaken Monument to pump colorless mana to basically do this.

Have to be honest here: Gitaxias is a 7-mana play and it is unlikely to come down in time unless you are playing ramp or reanimator. However, neither is well supported in U/B nor with the rest of the artifact control strategy. if you are willing to cut Gitaxias, you can just make a UB version of the deck in the video, but focus more on the artifacts. If you like Gitaxias the most, maybe leave Tergrid aside, and focus on tezzeret discarding Gitaxias and reanimating it on the following turn, which will be UB reanimator. I know you want both of them to work together but it seems difficult imo. Hope these suggestions would help.

He is def incorrect about that. But hey man even CGB is human after all. If that card hits the field, villain discards no matter what.

Dan I just returned and there are a whole bunch of ways that arena blows the triggered stack effects because of a complex engine thats gets buggy at times... get this... ill cast a creature... and the opponent will spend 2 mana and sacrifice an artifact to draw a card and then the game will allow them to use the card they drew before the creature goes into play... such as a counterspell... which is complete nonsense.... you summon a creature and it is supposed to resolve if they dont have a card in hand...you cant draw a card and then counter it.... thats just incorrect. ive also noticed all kinds of ways that people will abuse the games multipliers and end up with impossibly high numbers of 1/1 creatures in a couple turns... like 170 1/1 green vines or some such. very annoying.

@@tonyupsman hmm, what you describe is completely correct behavior though (both cases, adding to stack while the stack is resolving, and the “scute” deck you most likely refer to). Read on the stack rules a bit, things have changed at some point in MtG past (around 2000 I think, before then we still had “interrupts” ;))

Based on the shirts I’d assume he’s a fan of AoT, Naruto, and MHA at the very least.
