22:00 When he casts Massive Geyser and knocks everyone into the air, his threat table resets, so what happened is that the warrior autoattacked the boss as his threat resetted due to the X-Axis bug and got clapped. that's why it's adviced to quickly stop attacking as soon as you see his castbar. rip warrior.
One really annoying thing about hunter pets is that they save a list of attack targets. So if you tell it to attack one enemy, realize it's the wrong one and tell it to attack another enemy, then that first enemy is still in the pet's attack list, just in second place. So when the next enemy dies, the pet will then go and try to attack the first enemy again. The only way to prevent this is to first tell the pet to follow, go passive and only then tell it to attack again, so that the list is cleared. It's really stupid
This is solved by using a "/petpassive" macro. Between each mob you always re-passive and then press your "/petattack" macro on the new target. This is why hunters die almost as much as warriors.
It is a QoL feature for if you are fighting two mobs to get it to automatically switch once its target dies. If you haven't figured out how pet mechanics work in a 20 year old game, maybe you should give the class a try in softcore first.
aight so for those who don't know, in stratholme there; some of the patchwerks patrol, walking to the front of the gates and around a bit. If he isn't killed and he doesn't engage you in combat before finishing his 'route' it assumes the group has wiped and resets all the mobs.
Just wanted to say on the second clip, in strat, we just had this happen the other night as well in stockades. Luckily it was only 1/2 the instance that respawned, but yea the entire middle, and left side respawned, including the “bosses” of stockades I don’t think it’s strat specific, and it’s the only occurrence in my life I experienced of this myself. We were a group of 5, with one person who DCd about 15 mins prior to that happening. Luckily no deaths either, I was the one that spotted it before my group because of track humanoids. We had to fight the entire instance over again, to leave, but new chest spawns were up so we didn’t mind that too much
Stockades has fairly fast respawns for an instance, has nothing to do with what happened in stratholme. It's fairly normal in stockades that the entrance corridor has respawns when doing a level-range appropriate full clear, and usually people do the left wing first, so it also starts to respawn in order. I think the default respawn timer, which the stockades does not use, for a dungeon is around 1 hour, but stockades has like, 15-20 minute timers maybe? You generally don't see the respawns take place if everything goes as intended, but in long dungeons like BRD you can, especially if you need to find a replacement party member, or after corpse running back after a wipe (when not playing hc).
@@theformuoli6397 Hmmh, I haven't confirmed if chests do respawn there in that manner. There's a chance it was a locked chest that just wasn't opened. But chests do respawn outside of instances, so why not in this case. Stockades is something of a special location, since it was originally not meant to be an instance, but another zone you could just go into, so could be one of its quirks. As for bosses, I'm not sure there's any code-side distinction for what is a normal monster, quest monster, or a boss monster, save for the skull-ranking on the level that forces the creature to behave with combat numbers as if it was 3 levels higher than the players. So, in that sense, there are zero bosses in stockade. I mean, you can cc and polymorph the named enemies in stockades, so calling them a boss just because they are distinctive and stronger than the regular trash is probably a habitual misnomer. We'd mostly expect 'boss' enemies to be immune to poly, and yet some aren't, such as the stockade named enemies and at least aku'mai in bfd?
My understanding is that direction and range are checked at the start and end of the cast. How did the cast get cancelled in the video if not because of blinking behind the warlock?
@@wintermute1814 I wish I left a time stamp. Fear has the same mechanic as poly, you can cast it while they're behind you, as long as they're in range.
@@wintermute1814 1:35 It's hard to tell, but I dont think the warlock finished the cast. the cast bar filled up completely, but you know with latency maybe he cancelled it himself
I used to have my *White Knight* Retro Pally positioned just inside cave entrances like that to provide an extra 'safety net' for the other HC Players for when trouble would strike...
Of course you help with that troll. It takes 15m to get to level 5, and this would be the most amazing thing you have experienced in a starting zone. Even if u die. Btw, if you're a dwarf without a moustache, just go die.
They are the kinds of players whose previous experience with the game included such amazing feats as never reaching level cap even without hardcore challenge. They don't know how daze works or that attacking/debuffing a mob will keep it leashed to you, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that something as niche as blood of heroes is beyond their understanding.
Bro that mage at 10:43 . Tell me your not panicking while your panicking, he pressed cold snap before using either block or ice bubble or nova, he refreshed nothing
Question for chatters: Is it enjoyable for you all for him to constantly be clipping his audio? He could easily fix it in like 3 minutes but maybe chatters think it's funny to constantly distort his mic audio. Maybe I'm just getting old lol
@@Smalls989 His mic audio is always distorting. It's because the volume is going above 100% and "clips" (i.e. when he gets close to the mic or gets loud). He just needs to set up a proper compressor or a limiter and he'd be golden. If you want an example, look up "mic clipping" or something on RU-vid.
It is not layering, it is intentional. It is an event, so if one of the abos reach the gate it resets. This isnt layering or a bug, it most cases people just kill all and doesnt let anything slip through the gate, thats why we see it so rarely even though nobody seems to know its an event.
