@@joeh858 how did I not see that, that's amazing! I was laughing at all the people saying shit like "that's what you get for getting it on ps4 omegalul, someone buy him the steam version!"
ya cuz asmon is the bastion of intelligence 2 1/4 hours into stream and he FINALLY realizes blood echos are souls. even though he's picked them up numerous times and sees RETRIEVED which looks EXACTLY THE SAME as dark souls. he literally has no observational skills.
Dude is playing a game designed to be difficult for his first time with a device he has practically no familiarity with, talking to chat, his game freezes every 5-7 minutes, he only dies a handful of times, and is still called bad.
“this is an fps game and no one uses controllers on fps games” bruh what even how the hell is the game in first person? does he even know what fps means?
@Rand Name this game is meant to be played with a controller tho, its designed around the lock on aiming and i actually dislike playing third person games unless they are shooters. i play most ARPG games with a controller even on pc because of that. (for example: Monster Hunter, Souls series, Witcher series)
NoeraZ exactly. i’m absolute shit when using the controller, but mouse and keyboard only makes sense is when there’s a lot of different key inputs (like WoW), or when extremely fast precision and accuracy is required. (cough FPS games cough) Third Person ARPGs like Bloodbourne are best played with a controller because majority of them have a lock on system integrated, making holding a mouse feel extremely redundant as you don’t have to track the enemy whilst locked on - the game does it for you. not to mention mouse clicks feel relatively unresponsive in games similar to the Souls franchise. i could never get around to playing the Witcher franchise, Dark Souls 3 and the Assassin’s creed franchise with mouse and keyboard. felt way too clunky. On the other hand, it was literal torture to play Overwatch, an FPS game, on console.
@@mithshude This can easily be solved by adding an option to games to let the player decide if he wants 1st or 3rd person view. Personally i feel the Soulsborne series would be shit with a 1st person camera, like how Skyrim is. Its just different seeing a sword swing left and right instead of your entire character's motions to perform a move. And it would be weird when it came to rolling or dodging. But i guess it depends on a person's taste.
The fact that he beat gascoine in first try. Kind of triggers me edit after 5 years: i can't belive people are still awnsering to this comment. if you want to respond let me tell you this: how about instead of wasting time discussing the difficulty of bossfights, you go touch some grass, and do something prudoctive and useful to yourself and society. how about you also stop watching this geek who dosen't deserve any of the money he made, and also stop playing these stupid little videogames. i think that if you do that your life will get a lot better, the same way mine got better. and you also won't bother me by making me get a notification that i don't want to recive.
I also beat Gasc in first try. Cleric Beast as well. I love getting into games like these and being careful as fuck so as to finish with as few deaths as possible and so far, i have only died to the first werewolf simply because i thought i landed the killing blow but as per usual, i misjudged his hp and got shredded. But fuck the tombstones in Gascoine, i spent half the time in his second phase running around the graveyard to get him to break the stones so i could dodge safely without backing myself into a corner or some shit. Its a great fucking game so far.
Watched him Beat Dark Souls 1, 3, and Demon Souls.... He literally learns nothing. The frustration i felt build up inside me when he couldnt figure out how to equip his weapon when it's the same in every From Software game... is unf*cking-describable.... but god damn do i love this bald neck beard goof. He's the best boy.
Such a unique game. Did anyone else find this game fit their play style and was much easier than most other Soulsborne games? For some people, it's one of the hardest Soulsborne games, and for others it's one of the easiest. Bloodborne fit my play still really well for some reason. I thought I would struggle with the aggressive offense this game requires. But the learning curve for me was WAY shorter than it was for Demon's Souls, the Dark Souls trilogy, and Elden Ring. I died far fewer times per hours played in this one than any of the other's. DS3 and Elden took me some time. My first playthrough on Demon's, DS1, and DS2 weren't nearly as bad as my first on DS3 and Elden Ring. Demon's (pre-remastered) and DS1 (both og and remastered) are now the hands down easiest. But because those 2 were my 1st experiences with FromSoftware, they took a bit of practice. Bloodborne came to really quick.
Yeah, bloodborne was my first and I sucked at it took like 45 hours to beat the game. Then played elden ring, ds1 and sekiro. I just went back after those experiences and it’s so much easier in comparison
Bloodborne is the last one I played from your list (Never played Demon soul yet though) and It was one of the hardest "beginning" for me (along with ds2). I had a lot of trouble with the early mob, the evading, the timing for hits. Hell, I tried the game for like 45 min a quit it for month because I was having so much trouble. (also I kind of overdosed the Soul genera a little bit before that because I basically did all the dark souls, sekiro and elden ring in a row with little breaks between them). When I finally went back into the game I made a fresh character and used a different weapon and it went better for the small monsters. But then father gascoin was a real wall for me. I resorted to seek advice for that one (it was very defeating to me to have to resort to get advice for a boss that early..). Advice revealed that the gun could parry (yeah, I didn't understood that myself) and although it wasn't instrumental to my victory for that specific boss as I sucked at using it, (the thing being new and all) the rest of the game after gascoin become much much much more easier with the gun in mind. So, in my opinion, the game is average in difficulty overall compare to the dark Souls / Sekiro but the beginning is one of the hardest to get used to. And if you don't learn the gun mechanic soon enough, I suspect it would have been quite harder. Also, before ng+, I missed like 2 big area and the dlc because those 2 area were too well hidden (as for the dlc, I just didn't expect the game to start ng+ right away after the final boss. I assume I would have the choice and wanted to do the dlc at that point. But I had to do it in ng+ instead). The game is already not that difficult overall (in comparison to the other I mean), by missing those 3 places It was even easier
Yeah it was easier for me than Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring was my 1st Soulsborne game and although I struggled at first, after about Limgrave I handled the game pretty well. I had beaten Elden Ring 20 times before playing Bloodborne so the transition was easy for me, then after beating Bloodborne around 12 times, I went to Dark Souls 3 and my first run went smooth but there were definitely times I struggled. I have now beat Dark Souls 3 ten times and honestly out of the 3 games, I couldn't list a favorite, I love all three of them equally and for different reasons. So glad I gave Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne a try after Elden Ring, wasn't going to but got tired of waiting for Shadow of the Erdtree lol. Slave Knight Gael is my favorite boss and OST out of all the games, I can say that. I'd say I like Elden Rings combat and upgrade/Affinity/Ash of War System the most, and the weapon variety, and I like Bloodbornes aesthetic and overall gothic noir vibe the most. All three are bangers and some of my all time favorite games in 35 years of gaming. As for the combat and having trouble with learning curve, I never really struggled with any of the bosses, most of them I beat first or second try. I think playing Elden Ring so much helped with my transition.
It's harder starting out but once you get it and get the right gear it's arguably the easiest, sorta like sekiro although I'd argue sekiro is easily the hardest game
I’m so impressed he went the longest way possible to get back to the lamp but the game froze before he opened the gate (if he would’ve went back to it)
God so amusing and frustrating to watch at the same time… gets basically right to father Gascoigne then back tracks to short cut to lamp with Gilbert but misses short cut.. almost makes back to where he should’ve started (cleric beast) then freezes what an interesting first play through
He's been on a mission from the very beginning, to play every game without learning the mechanics, proving to everyone that you can just big dick your way through any game if you've got the patience. Long live the otk.
It is like his eyes can't see things obvious things around him. I don't mean secrets and such, but loot on corpses, lanterns etc. Maybe he lacks some eyes...
@@joenava6201 Completely different. You have to pay to play online for every single console game, all you get is online access. WOW is a subscription that is constantly updated and has new content added. Dumb point. Consoles are ass.
I know he replayed it later on stream but it would be good if he replayed it after elden ring, or even replay the whole souls series; he's been talking about it for a while
I love his gameplays for souls games cause it’s literally just R1 spam the entire time and that’s how I know anyone can really play these games with enough perseverance
Asmon still plays like a one trick pony but you can SEE he has actually improved. He's gonna get completely wasted soon but this might be way more enjoyable. Bloodborne was MADE for his playstyle
Same here! Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring were the first souls games I’ve played and now I am experiencing Bloodborne for the first time and it’s amazing 🔥
I just got the game and i have 1 question for people who have finished it. I am still at Yharnam btw. To complete the old lady looking for safety quest and the little girl who waits for her mother, do i need to move past Yharnam or are they both in that area? I have already killed Gascoigne and the Cleric Beast by the way. There doesn't seem to be anything else within Yharnam unexplored. Just give me a yes or no pls.
The first "dead" (cuz he need to i think, idk to be honest) and the chat just say "FOOL" "F" and laugh. This is really, really impressive for me and i didn't see the entire streaming.
GG bro, you beat Gascoigne first try and if you look up your TROPHYS and find the one for beating Gascoigne you will see that even now after 2 years less than 50% of all people who loaded up Bloodborne on their account didn't make it passed Gascoigne. It's the boss that separates the boiis from the MEN. I hope you finished whole the game + DLC at least once!
@Nafis Zaman no offence to Asmon, hes far from doing none hit runs and I feel he will need to farm vials. I hope he learns to parry well. Cause the big boys are some of the best to parry farm from. And it's easy
Lmfao loaded the game up for the first time earlier got wrecked by the wolf in the starting area… can’t seem to equip the sword and gun you get given at the start.. and can’t seem to get past the wolf thing again. Games great!!
Amelia and the one reborn aren't bad and rom kinda just caught me off guard the one reborn and Amelia are both first try bosses to anyone who know how to dodge maybe that's just my experience tho
I love those guys laughting in chat because i know they all diead like ten times in the beginning of the game and now flaming asmongold for it. Gg yourself not judging others in their progress.
Controller = you can move in any direction, at whatever speed you wish. Keyboard = you only get to move in one of four cardinal directions at a time, and you can only ever move at full speed, or not at all. No wonder the pros all use controller.
also yes, more pros use controllers than keyboards. When obama's minions are deleting innocent civilians remotely via drone to earn their welfare check, what do they use to control it? XBOX controllers, lol.
KB+Mouse is much better they just didn't put proper support for it in dark souls, make it fps like controls, and then you have precise movement + precise aiming, and you don't get fucked by targeting system that limits your movement and locks your view.
So grateful I grew up playing console games so I didn’t become an insufferable toxic nerd that throws a tantrum when a video game doesn’t have incredibly high frame rate
still sad to see so many people will never experience this. not just because its exclusive but also because a lot of people wont play 30fps games. i just wish sony would do something about it and bring it up to 60 on the ps5 or port it to pc like every game should be for preservation. hate to see old games get stuck on old hardware or at a bad performance.
I love the “It’s what I’m used to” fallacy. Like, bruh, of course you’re used to the only weapon you’ve ever used… New challenge: Beat Bloodborne, fellow Hunters, with your least favorite weapon, one you’d least like to use. I promise, it’ll soon also be in your repertoire of weapon experience.
Tell me he didn't use Iosefka's vial in the clinic, as his first object. I didn't even use it late game in a boss fight I was losing (and then lost) cause I didn't want to waste it
@@oRnch199 obviously I used it, later in the DLC. In the first playthrough of course. After that, as you may very well know, it's not so important to have it or use it. Still, using a rare item like that, for no reason, is dumb
I do hope this gets ported to the PS5 so it can run at a decent framerate. I've recall seeing a framerate mod for it though and the game has animation speed issues. Either way, 30 FPS is torture in a game like this. It's the only thing stopping me from really playing it.
@@kennethhoang1458 I do think Bloodborne will be 60 at some point. It's too much of a staple for PlayStation and a lot of people are asking for it. Unless you've heard something I haven't?
Yea hopefully they can give it an fps boost like Microsoft did with some older games without needing to rebuy or redownload the whole game if its already downloaded I never played bloodborne because I haven't had a playstation since ps3 launch and I just wasnt on it much back then but the games definitely deserving of some love, its one of my favorite fromsoft games
You say he is genuine and the chat is just shitty but nobody can be that stupid. So he must be acting up to look even dumber than he is which means he's not genuine.
