Do you have a video on how to avoid losing nail shape when using gel polish? Like when you use multiple gel polish layers it kind of lessens the nails coffin shape...if that makes sense?
Thank you, this is an amazing video - especially about pricing. I am definitely a person that does not know how to "price" myself. Thanks for enforcing the fact that it isn't just about the product, it is about time and effort!
I really love that you broke down some pricing for us! I am a student nail tech and will soon be going into a booth rental situation when I graduate and I'm terrified of underselling myself and not making enough money to survive. These looks should be something I can accomplish and charge extra for to make a better living! Thank you!!
I do my marbles a bit differently. I put the colors I want to use on my palette touching one another, then I use my dotting tool to pick up the colors and swirl and drag them on the nail. It works really well for me that way, and my marbles come out awesome.
I love how Tracey has one hand done !!! Lmao I always do one hand and leave the other .. for some reason I never have time to finish my own nails i have to do it within the next 2 - 3 days
Wow!!!!!👍👍👍. I watched a lot off your video. And I watched some times twice the same episode! It’s better then school. You have it all! Thank You 🙏 a lot for education. Take care all, be safe Las Vegas LV
Way cool your creative e smart Melissa e those colours are fantastic. Thanks for showing. Question how much should one charge for these even though you say they're basic? Be safe opps finally got to end after work you answered my bad. 😁💝
Love the designs as always!! Melissa’s nails always look beautiful! The only thing I don’t like is Melissa touching the nails without gloves on. I totally understand pressing the glitter down to not get any rough bits but it’s things like this that I used to do that overexposed me to gel and now I have allergies.
You were reading my mind about designing the top & the thickness, I have gone under with my E-file but was never sure if that was appropriate so I don't top design often. THANK YOU SO MUCH1💜
I love that bubble idea! Fabulous! I cannot wait to use it. With the oil slick would you use this as a possible galaxy effect too? Love your videos with Melissa! X
I really enjoyed how you explained how to price the nails. I have so many friends asking what I would charge and no idea what to say. It's a hobby to me.
Wow what beautiful nails. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You are so talented. I love these designs. I hope I get s good as you. I would be happy to be half as good lol. Everyone at YN are such great people. Thank you again.
it's an additional $5 for each extra product no matter how many nails you use them for. So the glitter press, there are 7 glitters used = additional $35 on top of your manicure whether she does just one nail or 10
Just came back to say so far I'm loving the synergy sculpture gel to adhere crystals tried it out for the first time a few days ago and all my crystals are still in tact. Please dont ever stop selling that kit on Amazon ill definitely be purchasing it again:)
I love these looks!!! Thank you for this wonderful video!! So informative and you broke it down and made it click...(at least for me) I was getting a little art block and this video definitely helped me straighten my designs out in my head lol. Thank you guys again!!
I love this woman. So amazingly talented & such an amazing teacher. Just straight to the point facts. I wish she was my teacher! 💅👑❤👌🏼 If you're trying to learn at home nail skills, this is the channel to watch. All absolute pro's.
I absolutely love how you made sure to put emphasis on putting your top coat on to seal in all of the fun colors with the first nail design. Thank you for taking the time to make sure that we all know like to do that stop so it can totally fully make sure we tie in all of the look together the right way. Love your work always I'm such a big fan🥰🤟🏼🔥❤️ 💙 💜 💛🧡🤎🤍💅🏼
We don’t use poly gel. We use synergy hard gel. Yes, you totally put protein bond down before you apply gel polish. You could get away with not doing it but, Protein Bond does aid in bonding the gel polish to to the enhancement.
Melissa!!! I just learned about the glitter press, thanks to this channel. I actually use it to do my ombres on my polygel nails. It's brilliant! More importantly, I'm drooling over that hat you had on in the intro.
All 3 of these designs r gorgeous!!!!! How about trying 2 do the design that's on ur shirt??!! A tie-dye design!!!! YEEESSSSSS!!!!!!! Will u do a video on that? U make everything look so easy 2!!!!
Wow I should have waited till I finished the video to pick a favorite..I LOVE THEM ALL BUT THE GLITTER PRESS IS MY FAVORITE 💙.. and you are so sweet and informative.. and I am LOVING your top and the head wrap is beyond cute.. I wear head wraps constantly bc I am insecure about some sun damage on my forehead from tanning way to much and using the tingle stuff on my face along with the facial tanner that you can also turn on 🤦🏼♀️.. I haven't been to a tanning bed in at least 10yrs so I don't know if they are still the same but I just had to add how cute I think you look with your tie dye top and head wrap (I love tie dye) also thank you for being so kind in your video I just subscribed to your channel so I'm looking forward to learning more from you ☺️
Love that "bubble" effect! I have seen a lot of videos where they use actual bubbles placed on top of the white to create that same effect but this seems so much easier! Also, the real bubbles leave a rough surface on the nails as apposed to the smoother effect
Thank you for the time you dedicated to making such a creative and informative video! What I especially enjoyed was the end portion, which you explained the additional pricing. I begin nail tech classes next week, and I really hope to gain a lot of knowledge about the business side of things, too. I was so pleased with the end👍🏻❤️ Thanks, again!
I like the fact that she did pricing i used to get my nails done cuz I can't seem to grow nice nails I have a finger I slammed in door that was basically hanging off n learned when I got older id have to have cosmetic surgery to fix it so cant afford that anyways I am teaching myself how to paint diff. Things on press on nails cuz alot of people buy them and they are pretty inexpensive but to kno how much I was getting charged for my acrylics and I asked the girl to go crazy I just wanted diff. Designs on every nail I didn't care just abunch of colors sum swirls n a silver glitter all reg polish no gel.. and they charged per nail designs... but at the end it would be like 50 to 60 bucks and 15 to 20 for tip.. I didn't care n they lasted about a week n a half so every 12 days id have to get fill n id always be missing 2 or 3 nails... so I would much rather glue on a press on and do the art myself these days ...lol life is so expensive u gotta DIY... Alot of stuff
I am binge watching your videos. Most are beyond my physical abilities at this time but I love watching and learning. So many products and I am doing ONLY my own fingers. My income is low so I wonder what I really need to create fun designs? Speed is not a concern for me so for example a quick dry primer is not something I want to purchase. I have protein primer and ultimate coat in my basket for ordering right now. Thank you for your videos!!
Access 6 Minute 50 second Mark in the video You're explaining about how you can wipe off the coat the top to make it look Matt and you like to do that with using the black instead of the white. I wish you would do this look with black..
I really appreciate you guys going into pricing a lot more recently. I think as a newer nail techs we're afraid to charge extra for nail art work. I think it's good to charge 2$ per colour/glitter since it is a lot of extra time to start with, and maybe when you are faster you can charge more. My mum always says get what you pay for, so if you value your own skill clients that appreciate your craft will come your way
