You are the first tutor that had explained how environmental temperature can affect the curing process. I could NOT figure out why my liquid to powder ratio was off this time. thank you fur your knowledge.
Hi, love your turtorials, especially your acrylic turtorials! I'm learning how to do acrylic on myself, but having a hard time applying acrylic on my right hand with my non dominant hand! Can you please please make a video showing some tips on how to make it a little bit more easy! Again love your videos!
Marisa Kalestian thank you, I have two videos about that in the next month or so scheduled to publish and a couple more waiting for me to edit. So watch for those :)
I would love to see you & Tammy Taylor do a collaboration together! there's so many collabs with newer nail techs... but none with women who've been in the industry for a long time!
candice bergstrom I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see her & Suzie from Nail Career Education collab! My two idols collaborating together 😍😍 yes that's my definition of heaven!
I love your videos and more importantly your work 💞 But what is the glitter acrylic you used ? It is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the great videos 🦋💞🦋
I bought the Menda pump that I’ve seen you use and it makes application easier, but can you possibly do a video demonstrating how to get different sized beads from it? The U-shaped bead helps with infills but sometimes I need a larger bead and all my beads come out the same size.
love watching your videos. CJP is an excellent brand of acrylic made in the UK by nail technicians.its what I use it applies like a dream and so easy to file. they will be starting to ship to USA in a couple of months you should try their trial kit you won't be disappointed so many techs were going to give up on acrylic till they starting using this xxx
Oooh I LOVE that design! Coffin/ballerina shape doesn't fit with my nails either. I have to go with almond, square or, oval. I see you're using Mia Secret forms but, what acrylic brand do you prefer? Right now I am using Young Nails line & it's a bit pricey but soooooo worth it. Bless your heart that acrylic is giving you a fit. Funny how temperature can mess with your products
Yes, so frustrating when it doesn't behave! I have not used Young Nails before. My fav combo is CND powder with Attraction Liquid. It sets up very fast, so if you need a little more time to get the acrylic where you need it, it will drive you crazy.
can you do another video so we can see the whole process even the stamp method up close. also when you did the glitter part..please & thank you..have a blessed day & evening
Tfs. I also agree about brands of nail files. Right now, since I'm a new tech, it's mostly trial and error for me. I have to purchase the file and try it out to see if i like it. i found that some of the cheaper ones dull down really quick. I want to try the diamond file, but, wow, the price for one 😱.
Christina Leister I used OPI files for such a long time & I found a brand at Sally's beauty supply that I fell in love with can't remember their name though 😞 I'm sorry. However, they're like 1.29 each & when you use a new file for each client it gets old so, I've went to the cheapest ones I can find. I also cut those files in half for pedicures because A)it saves money and, B)they're shorter so, easier to use on toes
Hi :) Thank you for your video! We just learned sculpting in school yesterday and I appreciated your video troubleshooting different things. Can I ask how you keep your monomer? It's not a dappen dish, it looks like what I have for acetone, a push top. Does it keep clean in there always and not drip back down contaminating the rest? At one point you mentioned that you had to clean the black out of the monomer, was that just mopping up the bowl of,the holder?
I use a pump that keeps the monomer from going back down. It prevents evaporation and contamination. Yes, that was just cleaning out the reservoir of the pump no black went down in the monomer. You have to buy the Menda one touch dispenser, a regular polish remover pump would not work.
The Meticulous Manicurist Nail Tutorials - Thank you! That's actually what I have for acetone, the first 2 I tried damaged the bottle so I just went straight to that one in glass.
Hi Jennifer, I do not at clear on top of anything I do. You can file any colored acrylic or glitter acrylic the same as plain acrylic. Your nails will become very thick if you add clear to the bottom and the top. It just is not necessary and you will have a much more natural appearance to the nails without it. It baffles me why anyone ever does. The only reason I would do it is to even out the surface. If I had two colors that met with a sharp line and the surface was not perfect it would create an optical illusion and hide the imperfection. Thanks for watching :)
