In this haircut tutorial, I will guide both beginners and experienced barbers through the process of achieving a basic men's haircut using clippers and scissors. Whether you're looking to learn the fundamentals or refine your skills, this tutorial is designed to provide helpful tips and techniques for a successful haircut.
Before we begin, I want to mention the grooming products I used during this tutorial. I utilized the STMNT grooming spray, which you can find at www.ulta.com/grooming-spray?p.... Additionally, for shampoo and conditioner, I used the following products: www.ulta.com/shampoo?productI... and www.ulta.com/conditioner?prod....
Now, let's dive into the haircut tutorial. Please note that my narration will be softly spoken, unintentionally creating an ASMR-like experience for those who enjoy soothing sounds.
Step 1: Preparation
Begin by preparing the client's hair. Make sure it is clean and dry, as this will make the cutting process easier and more precise. If needed, use the grooming spray to lightly dampen the hair for better control during cutting.
Step 2: Clippers
Start by using the clippers to create the desired length and shape. Begin at the sides and back of the head, using an appropriate guard size based on the desired length. Work your way up, moving against the direction of hair growth for a more even cut. Pay attention to blending the hair seamlessly as you transition from the sides to the top.
Step 3: Scissors
Next, switch to scissors for more precise cutting and texturizing. Start at the top of the head and work your way down, taking small sections of hair between your fingers and cutting in a controlled manner. Use the scissors to create layers, remove bulk, and achieve the desired style.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Once the main cutting is complete, carefully trim the hairline at the back of the neck and around the ears for a clean and polished look. Pay attention to detail and ensure the hairline is even and well-defined.
Step 5: Styling
Finish the haircut by styling the hair according to the client's preference. Use additional grooming products, such as pomade or styling wax, to add texture and hold to the hair. Sculpt and shape the hair using your fingers or a comb for a finished and polished appearance.
Remember, practice and patience are key when it comes to mastering haircutting skills. Take your time, pay attention to detail, and always prioritize the client's satisfaction.
