A lot of people are asking me about the current Coronavirus situation. To cut a long story short: - You get tested on arrival at the airport, which is a temperature check and a swab. If you fail the test, they don't let you in the country. - You get tested upon leaving the airport, which is also a temperature check and a swab. If you fail the test, they don't let you leave Italy. - Upon arrival at Manchester, I went into self-quarantine and dialled 111 when I got home. It took them 4 days to arrange a test at a hospital. After the test, and after a couple of days, the test result was negative. - I do not have the Coronavirus and I'm not showing any symptoms of it. And most people are the same. THREE TESTS - ALL NEGATIVE.
Great! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time on your European road trip. Incidentally, for my birthday next March - I'm going on an American road trip and one of the stops is ... Nashville, Tennessee! 🙂
@@UltimateBucketList don't get me wrong I love your videos but....perhaps that comment it not very sensible, 35058 people died in Italy alone. All the best mate.
Thanks Marcie. I hope you enjoy Venice, it's a nice city! The Rialto bridge at night, when it's all lit up is awesome. Take some alcoholic drinks with you, it's a perfect way to waste some time :)
Sounds like you had a better time of it than when I went there 10 years ago. Lovely city and beautiful to walk around. My visit though soon got to the point where I was dreading going out for an evening meal. No matter which establishment I tried, the waiters were trying to pull scam after scam to fleece me out money ("we can't take your debit card signor - how about your credit card where we try to add on 10 more euros to your bill?", "we're charging you 20 euros for bread you never asked for and didn't eat", and the best one came at one place every time I was inbetween mouthfuls: "remember the tip is separate from the bill"). Rome was pretty much the same (lovely place, shame about the conning gobshites in the restaurants). Would like to visit Florence & Tuscany but can do without a repeat of the aforementioned hassle. Also, Venice is the only place I've been to where I've been pickpocketed.
Wow, it sounds like you had a terrible time? As far as restaurants are concerned - apparently that's a problem that all of Italy has! I think it's calmed down a little bit because they realised that they're scaring more people away, but it still happens. As for pickpocketing, it's common in most Eujropean countries too. I'm planning on going to Pisa, Florence and Tuscany in the summer when it's nicer weather!
I really like your videos. Fun and interesting information. Would you make a video about Lake Como and around please. Accomodation and other useful info?
Another great video. How many days do you need in Venice and to visit the 2 islands you talked about in your opinion ? What top things would you have visited if things were not closed due to the virus? We are going on a cruise out of Barcelona and have a couple of days before the cruise. Thanks for your help.
Hi Gary, thanks very much. I did all of Venice in about 3 days, that includes a day trip to all the islands. If you avoid Lido and Torcello, you can easily do it in two. I definitely would have done everything at St Mark's, but that apparently doesn't take all that long. I think you'll just about fit that in before your cruise!
@@UltimateBucketList Thank you so much you are so kind. Just one more question where did you stay or do you have any recommendations in Venice. We are very much middle of the road type individuals we don’t wanna spend more than we have to as long as it’s clean and safe. Where did you stay. Thanks again
@@garypate552 I always stay in places that are pound-for-pound the best hotels for the money. Not too expensive and certainly not a cheap dumphole. I've stayed in several places in Venice before, but the best value that I would recommend is Hotel Principe. This is very reasonably priced, has lovely views of the canal and is within a 4 minute walk to Venice Train Station, so getting in and out of the city is incredibly easy. I think you'll be happy here!
Hi Ninh! I really enjoyed watching all the stadium tours in your channel but I am surprised that you haven't toured any bundesliga stadiums yet. The German league has some of the best stadiums in Europe and hopefully we will see you there soon. TC!
I was supposed to go this week to Berlin & Munich, but they cancelled the travel to Germany. Then around the Rhine area in May, but they've just done the same - I'm now having to fight for refunds for things like hotels etc.
Italy is beautiful place! unfortunately right now you got coronavirus problem... but i tell you what - i live in China - we have overcome it and Italy will do.. be safe people and btw - cool video
Hello Ninh, we're planning spend a short day kn Vienice. We're starting at Lucia train station at vienice & then we get vaporatto which is water bus go to Marco's square & from this square we get vaporatto to Burano & from Burano again we take vaporatto back to Lucia train station, finally from Venice train station get fast to Termini train station in Rome. How do you think can we make all self exploring in one day. The vaporatto line is easy for USA tourist we don't have any ideas about vaporatto line, please give us with your best advice about Venice. Thank you very much Ninh❤
Sounds like a nice trip! That's quite a lot to fit into one day especially with the transit, but I suppose if you are quick - it's possible. My advice to you is to visit the main parts of Venice near San Marco and the bridge. All the other things I mentioned in this video are nice to explore, but not necessary. Murano and Burano is lovely (don't bother with Torcello). Check out my Rome guide if you are visiting and haven't seen the video yet.
@@UltimateBucketList i'm looking forward to it. I'm Dutch and never been there before and if you have time Rotterdam is a nice city and in my opinion better then Amsterdam. But i must admid i have never been in Amsterdam
Please after the virus calms down could you do a millwall westham tour please I watched your Glasgow vid was hilarious would love to see the miwall fans faces with you in a hammers shirt 😅🤣
Hi Angela. I've never been to Florence. I was meant to go this year in June before I found out that I need ankle surgery. Hopefully I'll get there soon and make a video on it!
