I loved the way you talked about this book!! It's really refreshing to hear someone talk about her work in such a nuanced way! I'm really impressed by SJM's love of writing, and the way she's pumping out books like CRAZY. I also liked what you said about just writing the books we want to write. I forget that Throne of Glass came out in the paranormal romance and urban fantasy era of publishing. I read this book when I was in my last year of high school and that seriously felt like forever ago. Great discussion as always!!
aw thank you kelley!!! I can almost guarantee I'll get less nuanced as I read more LOL. I also admire that about her, and it's sooo wild that this book is over 10 years old now like what
I came here to watch you roast a book from the author, I thought I would never get into their works, but now I might be inclined to give TOG a try. I tried Acotar but it wasn't for me. I would love to see you do this kind of breakdown for Fourth Wing but It's asking too much cuz that book looks huge. Well that's that. Thank you! I love watching your breakdowns and vlogs ❤
omg haha to clarify I dont think it's a good book or a must-read, but it was definitely an interesting one in the context of the canon (?) of YA fantasy, and I was in the mood for something cw-esque! I have been eyeing fourth wing for a while but struggling to find a used copy at a reasonable price, but once I do I'll definitely do a video! tysm for watching
omg that cover is crazyyyy LOL. i had no idea that this book was picked up after being pubbed online first. it really is an ancestral wattpad novel 😭!! it's so interesting that a *sequel* hit the bestseller list before the first one. i feel like that's so rare these days, as is getting an 8-book deal :(
