My cat greets me whenever I come home and wraps her body and tail around me. She also follows me every where I go even to the bathroom, she is like a dog in a cat form. She is very playful yet calm, grooms me and sleeps with me whenever she needs heat and grooms me at the same time. She is such a sweetheart. Never hissed or growled at me, also likes people. Always by me side helping me with my depression and panic attacks.

Your cat is a gift from God. Excellent. Mine was like that too. Kissed me at night, and glued herself to my stomach at night. And would kiss me to wake me up. Lol i miss her so much But i was blessed to have her for 10 yrs and 3 months. She was my furry angel. She was a French Chartreu. And very intelligent. And hypoallergenic. She was so cool.

This is exactly how my sweet boy is, and he gives nose kisses. He's such a lovable kitty! Was soo shy when he was first born and would run away when we tried to engage with him, but we kept trying and now you would never know he was shy before. He's a cuddle bug. Follows us and lays with us, sleeps, hugs. I love him so much!

The rest of the day you are working in the kitchen, garden or do other stuff, walking around,..cats don’t like that it’s to confusing for them.

My cat used to love me until another cat came into the family. She was never the same, she stop showing me love, she was not aggressive toward me, though. She just forgot about me, pretended I didn't exist. Days before passing away, she slept in my bed, as if she was saying goodbye.

I kind of object to the term "your cat hates you." Cats are very independent, unique creatures, and each one is a mystery unto itself. But unless someone actually torments a cat, they will tolerate a lot of bad behavior from a human, if their other needs are being met. Their way of showing affection, annoyance, and needs never ceases to amaze me. I've been privileged to have known cats all of my 58 years, and am currently owned by four-two are 14 and 12, and the other 2 are 7 months and 5 months. They are a joy to be around. If your cat is biting or hissing, give it some space and it will come around. Especially if you are doing something that it's curious about, lol - like crocheting. Also-never underestimate the power of treats! Find the right ones and you will have bridged that communication gap!

Our cat lashes his tail constantly, even more when he's happy. Loves belly rubs, doesn't bite except love bites, rarely scratches and never hisses or growls. He will occasionally attack your hand in play if you grab his belly. At that point,, I let him push against my hand with his back feet,, scooting him across the floor.. And he doesn't like getting picked up or lap sitting.

I had a cat that I could pick up and cradle her in my arms like a baby. I took two fingers and nuzzled her upper chest. She purred like crazy. When she wanted down she would just give a slight twist and then wait for me to lower my arms to the ground so she can roll off at ground level and walk away. She was a very happy cat. I miss beanbag.

I don't think a cat actually hates it's owner . Some are traumatized or just on the timid wild side. If someone is cruel to the cat , it goes into defense mode and won't trust a person after that.

I will never understand how so many people end up with difficult cats.I always get the sweetest cats.I feed them and leave them alone, if they want to get close they will do it on their own terms.I never corner them, laugh at them or get angry at them.They always come and sit next to me or in my lap on their own.

None of my cats hated me or my parents. But some had a more difficult character. They would ask/beg to be caressed, but suddenly start scratching. After a while we knew when the scratching would start, so we learnt to stop caressing before that happened. In the end they were all very sweet cats.

@@AlexBabcock-hw9iz I don't think the color of fur determines the personality of a cat.I have raised and fed cats of all colors and they are all nice to me.I don't like to have preconceived notions or prejudice about cats, may be they can sense that energy and that's why they are nice to me. The most chilled out cat was Bagheera(black cat)who wouldn't bat an eyelash or flinch even if dogs 10x his size were barking at him.And then his daughter Shadow( also a black cat) was a scaredy cat.I believe that cats are products of their environment mostly.

Wheelchair cat hoomans unite! I was happy to see the clip of the woman her wheelchair and kitty used so organically, not pointed out, just there like people in chairs in real life. Just a pleasure to see. Pro tip if you kitty is nervous about your wheelchair, be out of it and let the kitty come up, pet, play, give treats so it has a positive association and if they don't like it moving, give them love and treats when it stays with you a you wheel about. My cat didn't mind the chair still (him jumping in my lap when we first met is why I adopted), but I had to do a little work to help him not be fearful when it moves. Now he rides in my lap and fusses that I don't have a third hand to pet while I move about.

I got my 10 yr old boy Nosi 2 mo ago. His human, my nephew died and nobody wanted Nosi, so I adopted him. My nephew found him as a stray and he was about 1 month old. For the 1st week, he would hide under my bed, I have his food, water and kitty box upstairs, he didn't eat for a day, but he did use his box. I love him dearly, he's not one to sit on my lap, can't hold him ( according to my sister he wouldn't allow my nephew to pick him up) he will play for maybe 4 min and then he's done. I can pet him at the base of his tail and around his face and chin ant that's it, and can only do that for a couple of min, before he wants to bite and scratch me. When he sees me, he gives me chirps and bangs against my legs and I can give him a good scratch. I see in his eyes when he wants to bite. He usually follows me around until his nap time. He has never hissed at me, talks alot, by chirping. I love this big boy, you learn their quirks and what sets them off and you respect them, you don't, you will get their claws and teeth of death..

My old Girl Cookie did this really. She Had a home before and one day she appeared suddenly at our house and didn't want to Go away. Lol basically the cat that “adopted” us. Started as befriending him then he started making himself at home by entering our place from our patio. He’d go home at some point or when we give him curfew by gesturing him out. But eventually even on storms, he finds his way to our doorstep asking to get in while his owner is just literally across our apartment. Then soon refuses to go home. We had to contact the owner to prevent misunderstandings.

I adopted an 11 year old cat a few months ago. He is not the least bit affectionate. I learned very early on not to touch his tummy. For that matter, the only areas he has allowed me to pet are his cheeks and between his ears. He spends almost ninety percent of every day sleeping, usually in a room where I am not present. I have come to accept this but there have also been times when he is allowing me to pet him, inviting it by pressing a cheek against my hand, when out of the blue he grabs my hand between his paws, claws fully extended and attempts to pull the hand to his open mouth where he savagely tries to bite the hand. I love him dearly but never know when those “attacks” will occur. He is clever, always uses his litter box, understands words in English and vocalizes in the most interesting ways but one vocalization he uses still puzzles me because I don’t know if he’s growling or just purring with open mouth.

Tail positions of cats need to be taken in context. What is your cat doing? What is going on around it? What kind of personality does your cat have? For example, my cat Vincent can go into a very playful mood in which he likes to be loving, playful, and mischievous all at the same time. This combo causes him to feel something like excitement/stimulated, which causes a twitchy tail response. He is not angry or even annoyed with me at all, but he has a definite heightened state of emotion.

My cat would always greet me when I came home from school, work, or the store. She only allowed me to touch/pet her stomach, anyone else she would attack them. I would do anything to have her back, she was put down on October 5th. I stayed with her the entire time up to when she took her last breath. 💔💔💔I miss her so very much she would of been 16 November 9th. "A cat walking away from you" My most cuddliest cat is walking away from me, if he thinks I want to get her inside the house. That has nothing to do with hem hating me. Sometimes he wants to stay out al little longer (just like kids). But even more often, it is a sign that he wants to walk with me around the block. Sometimes even neighbours cats walk along with me. ( 1) Bringing home dead animal's! 2) Staring contests! 3) Sprinting at light speed out of any room when u enter! 4) Kneading on you! 5) Hiding in dark places and watching you! 6) Throwing up grass! 7) Sleeping on your electronics! 8) Pawing at your face while you sleep! 9) Excessive shoveling of kitty litter! When he wants to lay on my chest, he gets right up in my face like he wants to smother me. And then there's the ever unpopular attacking my upper legs when I'm sitting at the computer. I have a cat. I got him in 2017 or 2018 in china. Then I moved in with my grandma, and then I moved again after a year. But I couldn’t take my cat with me. After around 3 years I visited my grandma and he showed me almost of these signs because he probably forgot who I am and it broke my heart

All beings have an individual character, yet with pets alot has to do with how you treat and relate to them as well. Cats may be unpleasant due to health issues, for example. A particular animal may simply dislike you for whatever reason. Your. smell, your voice, etc. Cats are slightly crazy to begin with.

I got my daughter a cat, she doesn't like nobody and nobody likes our cat. She's very aggressive, she only allows my daughter or me to touch her. The cat is 9 months, she's always practicing her fighting skill with us, we always got scratches on our hands. Do i think she hates us, no, that's just the way she is. She annoys me sometimes with the amount of affection she wants. I start talking to her like she is a person,the door is open go outside and explore, what ever happend to you being more independent than dogs

I have never had a cat hate me. Only one cat ever hissed at me. I calmed and fed a feral cat. Then she got scared from a sudden noise, and jumped at me. The poor thing had been on the streets for years. She tried for several minutes to trust me but couldn't. She had to remain hyper vigilant. This was in a carport in Vegas so I don't blame her.

Sometimes, the problem also lies in us, ''hoomans''. We may not be caring for our cats the right way. Caring for them is more than food and belly rubs. But all the same, no matter what, I hope you keep loving your feline. I believe they’ll come around when it’s time. 😻❤️

I think my cat was a maincoon not sure he was soo sweet and loving, he would run from the other side of the room and run up my chest when I was leaning back in my seat and run its face against mine. I loved him soo much! I love cats but my husband hates them. 😥 My cats have always been soo sweet but I am sweet to them too, And fair and considerate. The only thing my cats have done is shake my metal door super early in tfe morning to let me know it is breakfast time. Maybe when it goes pee or poo anywhere is because you need to clean the cat box. I had one moody cat she was part siamese and she was so sweet and loving but when she was put outside too much because I got married and my husband hates cats she resented me. It was sad I made little house for her but yeah can't have cats because of him. Miss her she got old and shes gone now. Sometimes a cat was much better company and more loving. Lol

Our cat is an outdoor cat only so he's probably not that used to us because he's free to wander whenever he wants and wherever he wants. So he totally hates being touched on his belly and and being picked up. But he's a sucker for head pats so we good. He also likes when we're doing practically anything outside so he can socialize with us and just be in our presence (that's why I think he doesn't like winter that much - apart from being cold). Quite an interesting quirk he has is that he likes shiffing nail polish and licking our toes (with or without nail polish). Dunno if he likes the smell or what...

Many of these videos are far too generalised, and many of these "the cate hates you signs" can also just be play. My cat will frequently initiate play by arching his back and puffing up, he wants to play chase. Which apparently they dont like either. He also loves belly rubs and will actively seek this, usually after longer preiods void of human company/contact, like in the morngin after waking me up, or when we have been out during the day. I agree though he will sometimes bait you, but again this is play, and is very obvious. And yes sometimes he turns his ears to the back, and this usually means he has heard something behind him. I know my cat loves me and I know when he wants to play and when he wants to be left alone (which isn't very often). You get to learn yourself what your own cat wants and needs. I had never had a cat previously and have learnt alot in the past 2 years. I didn't realize how very clever they are, he can tell me audibly if he wants to play and if I ignore him he knows how to push my buttons to get the attention he is after. But I do strongly belive that each cat has it's own personality and you should take these videos with a pinch of salt.

I feel so lucky. Our Boy and his little sister have NEVER hissed at us. In fact I have never heard either of them hiss at anything. They may growl at each other when playing but that is about it. Many years ago I had a beautiful Calico named Rowdy. She was the sweetest girl, then we got her spayed. The second she came out of the anesthesia (Ketamine) she was a totally different cat. 180 degree personality change, from an affectionate loving cat to an animal that seemed to hate everything. The vet and I (I am a Doctor) talked about this and concluded that it was a rare side effect of the ketamine. Sad, she never changed during her whole lifetime.

@@donaldhall8785 Maybe. I've looked after rats (10) as well as cats. With rats euthanasia is a frequent thing because they only live 2.5 years. I was very disappointed with the vets. After the 3rd I just told them this is how it's going to happen 1. 2. 3. And they were happy to follow my lead! They didn't have a clue how to euthanize my little guys painlessly.

Ur cat in ur picture is so adorable. He or she is so cute!! It makes me sad cause I lost my baby Blake. He was an three and a half year old cat when he died. I had him for three and a half years. Those were the best years of my life. Blake made me so happy. One of his favorite things he loves to do was roll on his back where his tummy is exposed. I watched a video like 5 minute s ago. It was 8 signs your cat trust u. There was one on there where if ur cat rolls on its back and it's tummy was exposed. It means they trust u. When I seen that I was like ( Hey my baby Blakers did that. That means he trusted me!❤❤🤧) ( R.I.P my beautiful angel in heaven watching over me in heaven. You were my angel here on earth. I've been feeding a feral stray for about a year. He doesn't like to be touched, but will hang out on the other end of the back porch giving me the slow blinks occasionally. Odd thing is, the only time he hisses is when I bring his food. He hisses once, sometimes silently, then meows once or twice and slow blinks. He's never aggressive, and never hisses any other time. I figure because he is feral, he just has poor social skills. :)

You acknowledge him, like say hello in a sweet calming innocent way and gestures like making clicking noises etc.. to officially engage with cats you stick your hand and finger out and let them come sniff it. Once they touch it or bump it with their nose then he officially likes you. Just greet him eveeytime you pass him! 👋😃

My male took a while when I first got him to warm to me. His sister instantly adored me. When Manny2 marked me I knew I was finally his. And he's a soggy marker. Nose, cheek and open mouth. 2 times I had to be taken to the hospital. Our home life was less than normal. My cat hated my then husband. She followed him all over the house, hissing at him, he called to ask where her food was, I told him, he filled her dish, but still followed him. My Portia was a different cat when I “told him it was not good for him to live with us anymore”. She was such a happy cat by then

I knew about the tail lashing. I'd see my partner or his son holding our Bianca in a position that hurt her back. She got so she would NOT let them pick her up. They'd try to roughly scratch the base of her tail, totally ignoring her glares. Bianca didn't love me at first, but I won her friendship because I DID NOT do the things that hurt or annoyed her. In the last few years of her life (she died Monday), she would love-bite me, or rub her teeth against my leg. Her teeth were sharp, but it was the intent; she was showing affection. She was a lovely, brilliant kitty, who wished I'd pay attention to her when I was reading or online. I wish I could have saved her, or at least given her more comfort when she was so sick. Holding her in my arms seemed to help. But that wasn't enough.

I’ve had a kitten a rescue kitten since she was 12 weeks old. She was so playful and loved cuddling, well when she wasn’t going 90 miles and hour! 😂 She doesn’t purr and never has. She eventually stopped wanting to cuddle in our laps. She has a cat tree, so many toys, we spoil her rotten. She is now 10 mths old and she plays constantly. She will follow us into our bedroom when we want to relax and watch TV. If the door is closed she scratches to let her in. We let her in. She will lay at the end of our bed, kneading a blanket I have at the end of my bed. She never comes close to where we can pet her. When we’re up and about she will plop down in front of us on her back all sprawled out. I guess we were doing that wrong as we took this as meaning she wanted to be petted. She would then grab our hands gently though with her paws. She is not declawed. She has never scratched us in anyway. She is very vocal when we talk to her she’ll talk back. I love her so much my heart hurts for her love. I needed her after I contacted Covid in January and was a long hauler, and I so needed a cats love. I’ve always been a cat person. I have never in my 65 years been around a cat like her especially raising her from a kitten. Oh and she’s been socialized with my grandchildren who she is not one bit afraid of and also a dog that she loved playing with. Any suggestions would be so very helpful. I’m just at a loss and it breaks my heart to the point of depression. Thank you so much.

One of my cats when I was a kid HATED my uncle. I'm not sure why because he never acted aggressive towards her and was the sweetest guy ever. Whenever he'd visit, she'd hiss at him, attack him, flick her tail, hide, etc. Only explanation I could come up with was that he worked on a dairy farm and carried a lot of smells on him as a result, so that's probably why she hated him.

We're down to two indoor cats and sadly, one hides from me - but the reason is fairly obvious... about a year ago, she experienced problems walking and some serious weight loss. As it turns out, she is diabetic. That meant a strict diet and a few units of insulin injected with her meals twice a day. She did very well for the first 9 months or so, but now she steers clear when I come to see her at the morning and the evening meal times. She seems to be OK with me between meal times, but the tail is never still.

my cat is such a friendly boi. he never hisses at anyone unless they accidentally step on his tail or something (he likes to sneak up and unfortunately he’s good at it) and neither has he ever shown signs of anger at anyone so i’d like to think i managed to raise him feeling safe, respected and loved. when we have guests he goes over to say hi and have a sniff or two before deciding they’re harmless and walking off

Sometimes my cat twitches his tail when you’re petting him and he’s trying to sleep or touch His Belly but when we’re petting him he usually purrs

Sometimes when my cat wants attention I won't cuddle him because I'm busy. Yet he still likes to sleep on my bed, to me that means I love you.

I remember when me and my family took this cat who was abandoned by her owner and she'd always rub her head on my mom's legs whenever she washed the dishes and she'd only answer me whenever I called for her.I miss her

I adopted a 4 yr old Osicat. She was a abused cat and dumped at a no kill shelter. I was her foster mother then adopted her when covid hit and everything shut down. She has never been a affectionate cat, she trys but she doesn't except love. When she got out of my house one day she didn't come back for hours. I then put her on a leash and for 3 weeks I worked with her. She always comes in and always comes home. Since letting out she has become more distant and doesn't like me to touch her. What can I do but be patient??
