this is without a doubt huening kai and taehyuns era it’s so clear taehyun has been working so hard on new vocal techniques and he is *nailing* this growling/raspy vocal technique, i’m so impressed. kai just looks nothing like i’ve ever seen him before - the whole look, the confidence 🤌🏻✨ and anything rock he just *owns* by far, my favorite title track, it makes me emotional even after streaming it all day also, it took me watching it 10 times (because i was so focused on yeonjun) to notice his ‘parents’ fighting in the background and him stealing the car keys, i feel like the first 10 listens i was in a different dimension

GIIIRL I CRIED IN YEONJUN'S PART FFF

If you apply the music video to the lyrics it's about someone trying desperately to escape an abusive household and trying desperately to find love or kinship to help cope with their situation. Hence the MV, Yeonjun sitting on the couch at the beginning while his parents fight behind him and him leaving the house, stealing his parent's car keys to get away from the situation. In this process he escapes to his imagination, imagining his friends with him when in reality he is completely alone, hence the end where he wakes up alone and the car is fine/not burned. It is also notable that when Yeonjun is dancing and the members are following him after the music cuts you can only hear 1 set of dragging footsteps, you can't hear the steps of the other members because again, it's a figment of Yeonjun's imagination. The song is literally about trying to find something that makes you want to stick around rather than ending it even if what you are staying for may not be good for you or ultimately help you in the long run, it shows desperation. Being miserable but wanting to find something, anything that will keep you going and many people use relationships as a means of hanging on (even though this isn't necessarily healthy and can be a heavy weight to the other party involved but nonetheless many people depend on relationships to keep going). There is also the self-doubt or self-hatred alluded to by Soobins line referencing that he won't make it to heaven because he doesn't belong there. Also, a really important part of this MV is that it highly likely alludes to a movie called Days of Being Wild "-in order to demonstrate the way in which parental love influences our development. Both positive and negative experiences in our childhood have far-reaching implications on our adult selves." This obviously fits with not only the lyrics but the MV itself and is even further insinuated because the dance Yeonjun does in his room (alone in the teaser, together with his friend in the MV) is Leslie Cheung’s mambo from Days of Being Wild and was confirmed to be as such by Yeonjun in the Behind Sketch for the MV. Leslie Cheung’s mambo from Days of Being Wild represents love for “those at the periphery of one’s life.” Yeonjun’s mambo explains that 0X1 is not about romantic love. It is about longing for those at “the periphery” of his life. TxT really showed a new sound of music when they released this. This song IS unique in terms of kpop. This is definitely their "coming of age" music video which is a proof that they're not kids anymore. This song is by far my favorite song from them, EVER. The different feelings it hits you with and the nostalgia makes me kind of emotional. This for me personally is Tyunning's era, their growth and different changes they showcased in this...they totally excelled at it. Yeonjun was clearly shining in this comeback. Soobin i-- i can't even explain for him, pls just take him away 🤦🏽‍♀️ And that's together with Beomgyu. They can LEAVE.

this song is by far one of my favorites now i stayed up until 2 AM for the premiere of the song and i was exhausted. all of them were so good and i loved the sound. as soon as i woke up i watched the comeback show and i just enjoyed all of the songs after that. i can’t wait to get my album in a few days! i couldn’t even like scream or get excited when i first watched it since it was 2 in the morning but the rasp and the performance was SO GOOD have a great day and drink water haha

I was thinking while watching the MV over and over about why there was fish in the sky. I think it's because Yeonjun sees himself as the fish as well as wanting to be the fish. He is the fish as in he's stuck in the tank /stuck in a box /stuck in his head and can't get out. He also wants to be the fish as the fish aren't alone they have other fish in the tank unlike him whose sad and lonely. So to aid his loneliness and depression he ran away from his home where his parents are always fighting with his imaginary friends. He leaves the fish tanks that held him and he created friends so he could be like the fish as well. In the end, though the reality of escapism kicks in and he realizes that he is still sad and alone We can look at it in terms of the storyline I guess. We know that magic island is a pace the boys go to escape the real world. We know that after the boys meet in magic is and they g tier separate ways. The video could be taking place on magic island so that's why there could be fish in the sky and them playing in pools. We know that magic island is a real place as when Yeonjun wakes up his hair is wet. Just like in the pre sequel the boys end up n separate locations after they fight as the house could represent magic island. So it may be a place they go in their imagination (or a digital world) where they are having a hard time in real life. Remember in the storyline Yeonjun struggles with feelings of alienation so at the beginning we see him by himself while his parent argue. They didn't even notice he left the house. He runaway to magic island where he's with his friends having fun and no worries. But time can only be frozen for so long as we know it's blue hour (5:53) that's the magic hour where they can have fun in their imagination on magic island. At the time end yeonjun wake up. Ps. I just rambled this probably makes no sense 😅. I just wanted to get that off my chest

This song is on a whole different level. I cant even describe how at awe I am with how good it is!! I felt like Seori's presence is like Halsey's in Boy with Luv. First of all, congratulations on your first ever txt comeback!! Like last comeback, I had to wake up before 2 am to watch the comeback but I woke up at 12 am and I don’t remember if I slept between 12-1 am but I was for sure awake at 1:30-ish am. When I heard the song I tried so hard to keep my screams in (same with the album listening and the comeback show 😭). I stayed up for around 6-ish hours and it was 6 am and I THOUGHT I was going to wake up wake up but I didn’t wake up wake up and accidentally went to sleep so I had my headphones and phone while I was sleeping 😭 Vocals are so on point and seori harmonizing with them is so so so so good!!! I loved this album so much!!! I can’t wait for your reaction to it. Honestly, I watched this MV at like 4am in the morning, so it may have been my fatigue, but I actually teared up at this MV. They worked so hard, it was a long wait, but worth it.

The fishes in the fish tank represent the boys in this world. They desperately want to leave the fish tank and explore the outside world. It also symbolises the envy yeonjun feels as he sees the fish with other fishes together. While he is all alone and the other boys are just his hallucinations. He is shown as a depressed lonely teen on anti depressants medicine . Yeonjun is fed up with his parents fighting and he steals the car keys, and runs away from his house all alone. But he thinks he is with his 4 friends. In reality, he is all alone.

You are my favourite reactor so i was looking forward to this video. Hope you survived the album and everything else in case you have already listened to it.
