One of the biggest takeaways I’ve learned is that comparing myself to my peers does not get me anywhere. It only brings me stress and we all know the bad things that result from that. It’s okay to that I’m not at the same pace as others as long as I am taking being proactive. Thank you ladies for all you do! Happy Holidays! @nancyzhaooo

My takeaway this year is that skincare is self care. I earned a lot about my skin and trying new products, also transitioned to cruelty free. Almost satisfied with my skincare. Still looking for a night time moisturizer that works. Trial and error:)

I've invested in my skincare journey for the past 20 years. I've been using Retin-A or Tretinioin for at least 20 years and it's absolutely changed my skin. I get facials often, and I make sure I thoroughly read and research anything before I incorporate it in my skincare routine. The best skin care advice I could ever give is 1)invest in Retin-A/Tretinioin and 2) wear sunscreen.

The biggest takeaway I had this year is to never really take things for granted. A lot have happened this year and it proved me that nothing is constant, anything can change, and I just realized that I have been putting off a lot of my plans and dreams because of fear. But this year taught me that too much comfortability would never get me anywhere; everything can be gone in a snap. I was even more afraid than ever! So before this year ends, I took a step to change my life. I hope 2021 would be a better year for everyone and may we all take the things we learned this year next year as a reminder to not take anything for granted.

The biggest takeaway I leaned this year is: giving helps everyone. Giving your time, money, and energy to others will not only help then, but help you as well. It's a positive cycle and the positive impact is so rewarding.

One major takeaway I’ve learned this year is to always question my own thoughts and ideas and never take my truth as the universal correct answer. It helped that after years of struggling, I finally reached out to a therapist and started online session. Best choice ever.

Yeah energy management ⚡️ that’s something that I’ve learned after having gone into my senior year and just being so much more dependent on myself to push myself to do my schoolwork. I learned I have to eat a filling breakfast and also a healthy, filling lunch, paired with some green tea, to refresh myself so I can do my schoolwork more efficiently

My takeaways from 2020: The power of taking my skincare into my own hands with knowledge of actives and ingredients AND finally realizing my self worth does not solely depend on the state of my skin -- valuable nuggets Beauty Within has taught me in 2020. I found BW in the midst of quarantine and I truly believe I could not have gotten through 2020 without discovering this brand, Fel and Ro. Not only did you gift me the knowledge of skincare and how to manage healing my skin in my own skincare journey, but you encouraged me to recognize my value and worth from within. Dealing with chronic acne, my self worth can vary largely dependent on the state of my skin. BW has been such a sense of comfort for me through the ability to resonate with a community that seeks beauty through self-car, wellness and knowledge. So, thank you, for helping me see my worth, challenging me to stay positive AND giving me the tools I need to tackle my skin concerns! You deserve to know the impact you have had on souls like mine. Rooting for you and will be avidly following you in 2021! (insta @stuffhannahdoes_)

It may actually sound dumb, but my biggest lesson was to not overdo it with my skin -and PATCH TEST EVERYTHING! My skin has always been really tolerant so I was used to putting stuff on my face just to try it out, and she reached her breaking point. That's when I realized that a minimal routine is not only calming and nourishing to overwhelmed skin but really enjoyable for both me and my wallet. Seriously guys, when it comes to skincare less is more!

Something I learned this year was to really focus on self care before I used to be active and all over the place never really giving myself some time to do something good for myself as skincare! Before quarantine I would just wash my face with nothing but water. During quarantine I began looking into skincare and thankfully I ran into you awesome ladies. Now I understand what you ladies and other means when they say skin scare is their favorite part of their day and night. I now wear sunscreen everyday and won’t leave the house without it. I have begun to take care of myself more and have this moment to myself as I wind down for the day. School has been crazy but watching your videos and learning something new wether an ingredient product or about teas get me through the night. Seeing women around me who were never taught about the importance of skincare has made me appreciate it more and value it as well as to share what i learn and know with not only the women in my life but the men too! Got my brother to try a face wash and dad a moisturizer, it’s now their favorite step too lol. Lots of pampering and just self care. Much love and appreciation for you both!!! ❤️❤️ Love from LA, across the country haha!

The biggest takeaway that I learned this year is how important the way you talk to yourself is to how you view yourself. I started to be a lot kinder to myself about the way I look and what I can achieve, and it really helped my confidence improve. The time I was forced to be indoors gave me a lot of time to think to myself about how I talk to myself versus how I talk to my friends (I'm so much meaner to myself than my friends!), and this really helped me change this outlook. A situation that gave me this perspective has been the job search. I'm about to graduate college and am looking for a full-time job (job hunting during a pandemic has truly been an adventure). When my friends stress out to me that they haven't found a job, I reassure them that there is so much time left and to be kind to themselves because we are in the midst of a pandemic and it is much harder to find a job. I realized I wasn't saying the same to myself, stressing myself out endlessly that I didn't have a job. When I finally treated myself the same way, I was able to truly look at the bigger picture and calm down (and even get more organized). Thank you for your videos and your calming voices throughout this stressful time, wishing you all a safe and happy holidays! (ig: @arush.i)

Loved this video! Thank you for the great content. My major takeaway would for sure be that as long as I have myself to rely on, I will always be able to make it through whatever. Perspective is KEY. At first, it was easy for me to become overwhelmed with all of the craziness that was going on with Covid, however, I understood that I myself was perfectly fine and I had so many things to be grateful for! I have a cozy home to stay in with all of the essentials (Entertainment, food, work, puppy, TEA, health, goals, and loads of skincare!). I figured out that instead of seeing the glass as "Half empty" or "Half full", in the end it´s actually a refillable glass and it is within me to fill it up as much as needed. I love being able to rely on myself and it has brought me so much peace and happiness. So much so, that I actually started enjoying this year and my own company! Empathy is also a big one for me and one that I will forever practice. Side note: Thanks to Fel, I am now obsessed with egg and spatula earrings

This year I have learned the importance of making time for others whether it be a phone call, text, or even a card in the mail to just check in on someone. I have found this year that I really don't mind being at home for extended periods of time but whenever I got a phone call or card from someone I hadn't seen or heard from in awhile it would just brighten my day and make me feel cared for. So I tried calling more people and sending more cards to people that I may not have called or sent cards to before. I don't hold conversations over text well and texts to me have lost a sort of significance. They seem more distant and less connected. However a quick text from someone checking in has still been great too. I have also learned the importance of keeping only essential things like you talked about. Being at home more made me realize how much stuff I have and with more time to see my stuff I have sorted through and gotten rid of stuff that isn't necessary and kept the essentials. I am like Felicia and often find myself hoarding things for future use and end up having a several cluttered areas in my house with things I think I will have a use for sometime. I took time to go through a lot of these areas and declutter. Expired makeup and skin care was one of the first to go because I only wanted what I liked and used. So when I used it up I could buy things you guys have recommended that I feel would help my type of skin. Due to being home more and not shopping as much I have learned the value in just keeping the essentials and just buying the essentials.

I think the biggest takeaway for this year for me has to be that I am lot more adaptable and flexible with difficult and bad situations that I originally thought I could be. Surviving this year and overcoming difficult situations like losing my job and not being able to visit my family abroad was difficult, but I found ways to keep in touch and work hard towards my goals which kept me sane, and of course your constant company and holistic approach to skin, body and soul beauty has been a great friend along the journey. Thank you Beauty Within for another great year! 😊

My biggest takeaway this year is that it's okay and healthy to take time for yourself. I always thought that taking time to care for myself was selfish and something I needed to rush through. Now, because of covid, I don't do my hair and makeup as often, but I'm getting into a good skincare routine and that really makes me feel like I'm taking care of me and it's also very therapeutic. So the situation that helped me learn that, 1, is because of covid and staying at home, but 2, is because my health has declined in the past two years and doctors can't figure out why. That has helped me to learn that taking care of my body in any way that I can right now, physically or emotionally, is really important and it actually makes my little family of my hubby and two puppies happier too because I feel happier. 😊 Thank you for your channel. I've learned so much about skin and life. ❤️❤️❤️

This year I learned that taking some time to "not think" is important to clear my mind. I tend to overthink and that takes a toll on my mental health: giving myself the opportunity to get distracted reading, journaling or drawing is essential for the "not thinking" time I desperately needed after a year when every part of my life got delayed.

Extensive research and patience are the biggest takeaways that I have this year. Through my skincare journey I went through many "phases" and I believe that I have learned a lot this year. I realized that extensive research prior to investing in a product will defiantly help me find the best products, within my budget, that targets my skincare concerns. In addition, as a rather impatient person, I have learned this year that I should be more patient when expecting results. Looking back at my progress photos, I know that I have made much progress from the beginning of this year, and yet when I look in the mirror, I feel impatient for faster results. However, I learned that quick results do not mean that they are long term results. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. I really appreciate all the educational videos that you guys make. I hope you have a happy holiday season and a happy New Year!!!

One Major take away for me this year has been self awareness. This year has been very unpredictable and chaotic that it has led me to stop and actually realize what is going on around me and within me. I realized how I have been living on a unchanging routine that really affected my mental and physical state. This year has allowed me to relax and take time to analyze where I am now and where I would like to be in the future. I focused on my mental state by disconnecting from the world for a few hours of each day. In this time I would either exercise or take a walk outside which also helped my feel good physically and more confident. I would also take time to clean my house so I can feel that I have been more productive than I usually am. I have also had time to focus on my skincare and actually figuring out what works for me. I've found out that I have dry skin, and in knowing that I know what I need in order to show my skin some TLC. I have also started eating more healthy and drinking more water. In doing this I have gained more energy through out the day. I am still continuing to learn this about myself, but just with these little changes, I have learned to love myself and listen to my mind and body. This will also allow me to show love to others and also to be patient.😊❤️ IG-therosarubio

2020 has taught be to be still. 2019 was a rough one for me. And then this year happened and along with a global pandemic, civil unrest, political drama and everything else this year has brought - I also had to move out of my apartment with only two weeks notice, lost my job for five months, ended a long-term relationship and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer - AND YET... I’m okay. It’s all about perspective. I’m incredibly privileged to have a support group, an amazing family (plus a perfect newborn nephew), a good savings account, access to medical treatment and a place to live - so of course all of that helps. But for me, so much of it is mental too. I am okay because I choose to be. Because I make time for introspection and self care and meditation and things that bring me joy - like tea and learning and skincare and silly tv shows. I’m so lucky to be able to do these things. Despite everything, I am more at peace with myself this year than last. I’ve learned to be still and to trust myself and to believe good things are coming even among all the not-so-good things. It’s been a wild one for sure. @chloeausritt

My biggest takeaway this year was to really focus on things I can control, vs what I can't (e.g. the pandemic, environmental issues as a whole, other people's actions and reactions). This year has been really difficult, and as an artist hoping to launch her career at the start of this year.. well, it kind of didn't happen, and my mental health and honestly physical health, probably, have really taken a nosedive. Without any concrete deadlines or sense of time really, it can be hard to keep moving forward, especially when you need to figure out where to go on your own. I've learned to take joy in the little things and to take pride in even small accomplishments, because even if you only did a little more today, that's still more than you had yesterday. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and you'll get to a better place eventually. Thank you for this video, it was fun to watch but also conveyed some really important points! Hoping everyone will be happy and healthy in the new year. :) My ig is: @niraniranegi

My biggest takeaway this year is no to take anything for granted. I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune desease called Morphia. My face was affected since I have an spot right in my forehead. I was never happy 100% with myself and this was a challenge. You never realized that you are perfect the way you are, but after my diagnosis I learned to love myself and found my beauty within 😊. This year maybe not the best for all of us , but I have everything I need to be happy

I take care of a lot of people in my life. My elderly parents-in-law live with us and so does one of our adult sons. My husband and I both work in Sales and have been working 95% from home since the pandemic began. What I have discovered this year is that caring for myself is so important so I can recharge and keep caring for my family. Escaping by watching lovely, entertaining ladies like you and learning about skincare has been a new found treat. Thank you!@tcwc123

This year my biggest takeaways were: to learn to ask for help, to be patient, and to enjoy the little things, the little accomplishments and the little pleasures in life. Last year I was let go of my job of 12 years (!), but I didn't mind because I had been itching to do something new. This year was supposed to be the year I started my own business, while at the same time I worked on other projects to make money, but then the pandemic hit and I was struggling to make ends meet. I was still working on projects and doing what I love, but I started to feel unsure about how much I could make what I was doing into a business, and with the economic crisis I was certain that no one would buy what I was selling. My confidence floundered and I was scared to fail and I had debts to pay. I was applying for jobs, just to see if something would come up, but I didn't get callbacks. What was I going to do for money?... I was overwhelming myself with all my problems and unable to see the solution, until I finally asked for help. My parents helped me put things in perspective, formulate a plan and I started to feel better, more in control of my situation. And then it was like all the pieces fell into place. I got a job that I'm really excited about, and my project that I worked on for most of the pandemic, an illustrated children's book, is being printed as I write this. It has been a long and tedious process and it required a lot of patience and dedication, but I'm finally going to get to see the fruit of my labor, and I'm very excited about it. And after all those job applications, I finally got a callback. As for enjoying the little things: so many things have been taken from us, we have all gone through so much, and this was a year, at least for me, to realize how much I enjoy certain things and they make me happy and it helps me get through these difficult times: a nice cup of tea, a walk with my dog, a sunny morning, painting, drawing, all these things that ground me. It has been a challenge, because I have a lot of anxiety, but these little things make everything worth it.

The biggest take away that I learned is that I have to be patient and be constant. Sometimes I say no I’m going to do my skin care tomorrow and I fall asleep without doing it. Also what I eat matters that’s another one. I really love your videos and I’ve learned so much from u two. Thanks a lot!

One major takeaway I've had this year is that you can't go back in time, so there isn't any point in spending so much mental energy on it. Especially on regrets. It is important to learn from the past, and to remember the good and the bad because it made me who I am. However, I have found that I tend to spend too much time on my regrets and wishing I had done certain things differently. I've realized this is something that I let debilitate me, and that I get stuck on instead of moving forward and doing better. A situation was realizing and being reminded that I am the only single one in my family right now(and I'm not the youngest or anything). My one cousin got married, my other cousin got engaged and moved into a new house, my brother has a wonderful girlfriend, and just everyone has someone except for me. My grandma has brought up multiple times that now it's my turn, and other comments. I did start to feel lonely for a while and upset that I still haven't found someone. Upset also because of some of my relatives acting like I needed someone. My perspective changed though when I realized that I am very happy with who I am, and can enjoy my personal/alone time because I like myself and like my hobbies. I also realized that the only way I really wanted to be in a relationship was if it was with someone that I found to be my equal. Someone who stimulates me, understands me, and shares a lot of beliefs with me maybe. I'm okay with not being in a romantic relationship because I know what I want in one, and I won't settle. I've also realized that being single doesn't mean I'm lonely either. I have plenty of people I can be close to and spend time with :) ... IG: @chela_petrizzi Really love this channel! Thank you guys for all the great content!

I finally started following a more straightforward skincare routine, clean, resurface, moisture, seal. Korean skincare is very gentle and made me realize American skincare has a lot of harsh ingredients, so started caring about ingredients also.

Hahah, yeah lol hoarding tendencies 🤭 I'm the same. 2021 for me will be more about wholistic care for family, friends and myself - mind, body and soul; curated selfcare - a way of streamlining mainly based on ingredients and self care need..and using products up rather than trying to use it's super sparingly that it expires 🧐😅 or seeing workout routines through rather than seeing had an ab and thinking...I've arrived at the land of 6 pack abs❤️

This year I learned more about the "essentialism" like Ro mentioned, I buy what I really really need after proper deep research on the products. And it started with being off of work for a short amount of time due to the pandemic obviously and I can't beleive how content I am just for making that decision. Side note: You girls are my fashion, home accesories and gadget inspo!🙂 PS: I don't have an IG am just a youtuber follower... xo

If I could write an essay about the lessons I've learned this year.. it would be loong 😅 I had a huge fallout between my best friends AND roommates, it was horrible. I had to move out in the middle of the pandemic. It was such a difficult time for me, just like Fel I felt so misunderstood and hurt by close friends. Though as soon as I made these changes that I thought turned my world upside down, good things kept falling into place! My mental health and headspace was significantly better and my anxiety and insecurities subsided. My relationship with my family has also gotten stronger though this year. My biggest takeaway from this year is that when things seem to go wrong or not according to plan (this whole year lol) is when beautiful things can happen to you! 💓 Especially during quarantine because that's when I found this channel and began to improve my skin journey! So thank you so much for everything you teach us and stay true to your beauty within values, #soulup!!

I think this is such a hard question since this year was so different from any other year we have experienced. I would say the biggest takeaway for me is don’t stress so much about my skin. I would throw product after product on my acne and hope it would go away. Sometimes it worked for a time, sometimes it just irritated my skin haha. I found that the cause of my skin concern is abnormal hormones and so the best way to make it fluctuate less is to stress less. Even stressing over skin is making my skin worse so I found that I need to just accept my skin for what it is and try not to force change on it. Especially when I’m really stressed like studying for a nursing exam, it’s normal for my skin to break out and don’t be shocked or mad when it does. I’m working on that especially since this was a transition from having great non blemished skin all my life with maybe some dryness to having combo oily skin with acne. It was just a sudden change where the products I used before literally didn’t work cuz I HAD A WHOLE ASS DIFF SKIN TYPE LOL. But ya that’s what I mainly took away. My insta handle is @mynameisamitha I love your channel by the way!!! It makes my process a lot easier because I’m genuinely getting more knowledgeable on my skin and what might work.

I’m 13: here is my routine(I don’t wear makeup) Morning: 1) Cleanser 2) Toner 3) puffy eye cream(i get horrible puffy eyes) 4) moisturizer 5) sunscreen Night: 1) Cleanser 2) Toner 3) Puffy eye cream 4) moisturizer 5) spot treatment I exfoliate once a week, steam once a week, mask twice a week. I use a face cleansing brush at night a few times a week, every day if I have breakouts. I’m sure I do it all wrong but I love skincare, so let me know if you have any advice.

So one major take away I learned from this year 2020 would be to love myself not just my outward appearance but also the essence of who I am on the inside. I’ve had more self-love for myself this year than I’ve had combing all the years of my life. Sometimes being able to even look in a mirror and say “your beautiful” or being able to be alone and notice my quirks and what makes me, me and appreciating that. ❤️ I’m going to be very open with this one, but a situation that helped me gain a new perspective was when I was let down. I had a situation where I was promised multiples times or told a certain thing of the action that person would do but then be let down with a sorry. Sorry is ok for the first or second time but when it starts to repeat itself for 4 or 5 time it was to much. They were just words but never an action behind it to change that behavior. To the point that it affected me in a negative way I started to feel resentment, a loss of trust, anger, and disappointment. I then had to let them go and cut off contact with them. There was varying opinions on the person from other people of positive experiences so I felt compelled to feel that way also even despite my experience with them. But I had to talk to myself and say “it’s good they had a good experience with them, but on the offhand I did not” and so learning my opinion/experience is also valid and not trying to feel the need to try and sugarcoat it and just say it how it is and how I felt. I had to acknowledge and learn that people are going to be different than me in their opinions and personalities of who they are compared to me. Sometimes they resemble mine but sometimes they don’t. That’s ok, but for my well-being it’s ok to let them go, and go on to the next stage of my life without them ❤️ Edit: Instagram: @nayzethybarramuniz

One of the biggest takeaways thats skincare related from 2020 would be everyones skin is different even if you have the same skin type !! My BFF and I have the same skin type but I've spent too much trying to purchase similar products in hope it'd work on me.
