The "industry standard" is that ALL sunscreens are tested at 2mg/cm sq. of skin area. That translates to 1/4 tsp for ONLY the face. You need another 1/4 tsp to cover the neck at 2mg/cm sq. So 1/4 tsp for face and neck you are getting about 1/2 of the SPF on the label. PLEASE READ: The FDA uses 2 milligrams of sunscreen for every 2 centimeters of skin to determine a sunscreen's sun protection factor (SPF). This is the internationally agreed upon application thickness, but studies have shown that consumers apply less. I have been using this sunscreen for a few weeks now. It is my favorite texture and weight however it breaks my skin out. Cysts in areas of my face that never break out. I have medium deep olive skintone, white cast from "non chemical" sunblock is real! And hate anything on my face, feel like I can't breathe in hot humid heat. I also burn easily in the sun so seriously need to slather the sunblock. I've tried so many brands, wasted so much time and money. I'm watching every episode of your new series, excited. Thank you for doing all this work. Much appreciated.
Same. I really liked it a lot but after about a few weeks I started breaking out, something that hasn't been a problem for me in many years. Stopped the HaruHaru and all clear now. Super bummed.

Ooooo my favourite subject, sunscreen. I am using skin 1004 centella at the moment and i absolutely love it. I am waiting on an Anua order. I agree, korean sunscreen can’t be beat.
I like this sunscreen very much and have completed at least 3 tubes, sometimes Amazon runs a sale on these and you will get it for 9 dollars and I stock up then.
I've tried over 40 sunscreens and many of the leading Korean ones, and this is my favourite to date, I'm on my 7th tube ... if anyone knows a similar one, let me know.
Scinic is another korean spf that I think is similar to this. It’s actually a few dollars cheaper. I found it a couple years ago and never looked back. I enjoy some other spfs but always have the Scinic on hand and use it often
@@vanessalawson4045 I have seen this one in other videos, but a lot of people say it is more on the dewy side. I do prefer the soft sheen / natural finish that HaruHaru gives me. I will probably get around to trying Scinic at some point. Thanks.
@@simonk8954 Yw! I agree the Scinic is just a tad glowy even after it sets down. I do love the HaruHaru just as much! Have you tried the HaruHaru black rice toner? Also, do you have a recommendation for a good water resistant spf?
@@vanessalawson4045 I don't really use a toner, I normally cleanse, then use snail mucin, or thermal spring water spray from LRP, then moisturiser, SPF ... I haven't tried many water resistant SPF. The ones from LRP are okay, and I got one from Zo Skin Health, the clear gel one, but that is costly.
Thank you very much for the video! :) How much skincare do you have under the sunscreen? I notice that some Korean sunscreen (like beauty of joseon for example) sink in and become velvety if I put them on clean skin, but stay dewy or slightly sticky if I have a serum underneath.
