This video will EXPLAIN the ENTIRE LORE of Bayonetta much easier than the previous multiverse video.
The placements of each game, explaining the mainline variants at the end, and even confirming which Cereza we will play in Bayonetta Origins. And I even believe Kamiya agrees with this.
Let’s back track it to to the first breakdown video of Bayo 3…Actually even further than that… to 2 years ago, to 2021.
We start off with the events of Bayonetta 1, where we meet a younger version of Cereza, who was brought to the present by Balder.
Throughout our adventures in Bayonetta 1, our Bayonetta provides the little Cereza with a ribbon, which she wears for the remainder of the game.
We defeat Balder, and bring back little Cereza to her original time period.
It’s at this time, where we see Bayonetta’s world shake, and we see glimpses of that younger girl grown up in her teens during the witch hunts, where instead of getting sealed, she braves on. Hehe. And continues fighting even after her mother dies, a huge contrast to what originally happened.
Since this a singular timeline, it’s at this time when a Young Balder finds a dying Rosa but ascends to be transported to the future by Loptr.
Now, the Converged Interpretation involves the ‘past-changes-the-future’ trope (vomits), where returning her younger self all empowered and all, somehow awakens the Left Eye of the World in our Bayonetta, which is why zaddy Jubileus was resurrected.
The Divergence Interpretation, these videos, explain that this scene happens because the two timelines react at that one point in time, as explained by Kamiya in the Directors commentary.
Now according to the Converged Interpretation, after beating Jubileus and Balder we fast forward to Bayonetta 2’s events. Where we have adventures with Loki, and yes evidence of Luka and Enzo’s experiences of the events of Bayonetta 1.
