You did a great job with your video. So the Nightbreaker's are definitely the winner. This was clear as hell from your video. In every test the Nightbreaker's are a much fuller, yellower, light - they reach higher, and further, by a visible difference. This also means that Cool Blue Intense lives up to its name. The blue lights aren't really blue, they just have _more_ blue to them and subsequently less yellow. For the individual this is very confusing because nobody wants "amber" bulbs that match their eyebrows or sidemarkers. Howevever, what most people don't understand from the spoken word is that when we are not talking about an amber lens and we mention that a light has more yellow in it, we're saying that the bulb's color temperature leans more towards the yellow side -> which is towards the left of blue on the color wheel if we were looking at an arch that had blue on one side and yellow on the other. This gives us a fuller light that is absolutely brighter and more performant. This has to do with what colors do well to penetrate and allow our eyes to see more: A bluer light is going to be less overall visibility than a yellow light. For BMW owners the OEM bulbs are a 4300k-ish value. The 5000k and 6000k (blue) bulbs available are for replacing single bulbs in an aged system, so as to more closely match the color temperature between bulbs when replacing bulbs. In all cases when someone is looking at your car from a seated (within a car) position, they are going to see the magical array of metallic spectrum spread that you see when you look into the eyes of an HID (Xenon) system. Don't think for one second because your lights are "more yellow" that you have somehow lost this effect. This is a xenon thing, and has to due with the salts and metals that are burning within the bulb. Again, great video - you really did a good job :).

Thank you it was an excellent review. I had the cool blue intense in my car for 3 months then I recently changed them for the latest night breakers. I found that the night breaker ones were better in poor weather conditions. The cool blue intense look good but in poor weather conditions there's a lot of reflection back into the cabin from them it actually reduced my visibility.

Wow, the Night Breaker produces far superior illumination to the grass on the SIDES of the road! This is where you need the light if you drive out in the country areas.

Did you notice Osram now lists a „Next Gen“ version of the Cool Blue Intense (like the Lasers are) on their website? That is exactly what you requested in one of your comparison videos. They seem not yet to be available though. But it might be a very interesting option for Xenon bulbs. Best regards from Germany :)

Nice video. Nightbreaker laser is my choice. Now if I can get the ds2 bulb to run on a standard aftermarket 55 watt ballast that would be great. I have been overdriving hid bulbs for years with great success. It generally shifts the color temp to a much whiter and brighter light. I dislike the blue.

Hello, could you please let me know what are better for night driving? (I just want to see better. Doesnt matter about the car look). From your videos (on the road) it looks like CBI are brighter, but the measurment says brighter is NBL.... I am confused :-(

Hi. I am reading that Osram Cool Blue Intense Next gen is not so blue anymore. Is that true? I had D2S Cool Blue Intense 5000K 8 years ago and I really liked it. Now I have newer car and would like to buy new bulbs but not sure which to choose.. I like blue. Would you recommend trying to find older version of CBI that is not next gen? Thank you!
