Thank you for sharing. This was the clearest set of instructions I’ve seen on RU-vid yet, and believe me, I watched many videos trying to learn how to make a wig fit my 20” head. Now, I can purchase wigs that are made for the average head, which is 22.5”. Game changer. ❤
I can not believe I found Ms. Lola ❤️❤️❤️Ms. Lola been the same age forever she dont age. Everytime I see lace wig videos I think they learned that from Ms. Lola. The Godmother of Lace ❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am subscribed. I do tell others and share your videos. This is amazingly helpful. We have to get you out there my sister. More people have to know about you because the advice you are providing to us is priceless. Thank you so much and God bless and prosper you!

I appreciate you and this video so much! I’m new to wigs as I’ve been suffering extreme hair loss. I purchased a beautiful wig that I couldn’t wait to wear but the cap is much too large for the size of my head. I’m so glad I searched and found this because it gave me hope that I can and will fix the wig to fit me perfectly. 💕
Omg, I've been wrecking my brain as to how I can make my favorite unit smaller. I was just about to take it apart, and remake it on a dome cap. I'm going to try your method asap. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ❤️
Thank you so much, Ms. Lola! I'm a beginner in installing lace fronts, and the one I ordered was a little larger than my head, but finding this tutorial was on point and made more sense than some of the other videos I previously viewed! Scared to try it, but going too! Thanks again!
Oh my goodness!!! This is so awesome I really appreciate this I never wore wigs because I have a peanut head!! 😂 none would fit aways to big going to try this method. Thank you soooo much❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL. My little head never fits my wigs and I will be trying this technique with some of my old wigs til i am comfortable doing it with my new wig that I have not installed yet.
you have the most efficient and neat technique! i was so worried i'd have to chop off unnecessary hair just to make my wig fit tighter. you're a genius !
We need more Tutorials like these I too have a little head one of my insecurities, but if I could find. Wig that is made for my head or how to make a unit fit a small head like mine it would truly help , so keep making more videos like these
Thank u so much ,this really helped! I'm just 43 n have been through breast cancer twice,n I've spent so much on wigs that bunch up in back n it's aweful n so hot, especially with cancer hot flashes, I could never put my up. I'm going to give this a try so wish me luck.
I know how important it is to have your wig fit snug after hair loss and not worry about that awful bulk when wigs are too big. And I definitely can identify with hot flashes because I went through menopause for 10 years and the cold sweats were torture. I know you can alter your wigs and save a lot of money because you don't have to buy as many. Please let me know how yours turns out. If you need pointers along the way, just let me know! 😘
I adjusted my headband unit that was too big using your technique and it worked like a charm - I took out two rows and it made such a difference - I have severe alopecia all over my head so the struggle is real with these wigs - so thank you so much for this tutorial because I wear wigs every single day - so thank you so much
Wow!! I absolutely loved this tutorial ❤️ It has helped me so much! Thanks for the valuable advice, and information! You are a jewel ❤. Please keep these tutorials coming! 😊 You are beautiful and I keep telling everyone I know to go check your channel out!😊 God bless you my friend ❤️
Thanks, Brenda! I'm so glad this tutorial was helpful! I really appreciate you telling others about my channel. I've got more tutorials coming. Thank you for watching, sharing and commenting! 🙏🏾 💕
I’m late to the party but I didn’t miss a thing. You are such a beautiful person thank you for sharing your wisdom with us I am so blessed to have found you and learned so much from just this video alone. I am losing all my hair as the Doctor explained my hair loss is due to scalp trauma. It will fall out before it grows back again. However I am grateful for beautiful beings like you who help women with hair loss 🙏🏼❤️ May God continue to bless you and keep you safe in his arms
I'm so glad you found my channel 😊 You are incredible! Thank you so much for uplifting my day with your kind comments. My God continue to Bless You even more‼🙏🏾❤️👍🏽
I LOVE YOU! Thank you for being so detailed and for not worrying about your makeup. Although you’re naturally beautiful you still didn’t make this tutorial intimidating by putting on makeup 1st. I’m an older woman who's trying to age gracefully. I have obvious signs of aging but I don’t want to just let my beauty efforts fall to the wayside. So, I feel the need to wear a wig to make my husband smile and he does when I do and life is better for me, too:) All of the wigs that I like are too large for my head yet I refuse to pay the ridiculous high prices for a custom wig. So. thank you for the video which helps me very much! let me know if you’d like to see my before and after💞
Omg!!!!!! Thank you. I was a little scared so I just did a test run without cutting and it fit perfect. Now I am going back and doing your process with cutting the cap will re add the wefts❤❤ I have a small head so this save me from taking my wig to others to do it.
Oh my goodness where have you been!!! So glad I came across you!! So detailed and seems so easy. I’ve torn up so many wigs trying to make them fit!! Very costly 😢. Thank you so much and I subscribed!!!
Great! I'm glad I could help. After removing the unit, I soak it in a dash of Dawn dishwashing detergent and hot water and then Ebin removes easily by rubbing the adhesive areas with 99% alcohol on a cotton ball.
I came back to watch again, something I usually do before attempting any process myself, and was wondering how you didn't cut any hair?! I mean the wig was flush against the canvas head inside out, but not of the hair appeared to get cut. Plz explain 🙏 thank you
Just make sure to cut between the wefts very close to the fabric or net. It's helpful to lift the fabric while cutting to make sure you don't cut the hair. Let me know it works out for you.
Hello Sharon. I have not altered a you part wig but I would do it the same as I've done in this video by taking out any wefts that make the wig too large and then sewing the unit back together.
This is so helpful, thank you! Could you please tell me if I can I use the same technique with an open-wefted wig? I'm wondering if the absence of the mesh base means it would be problematic sewing it back together...? Thank you again! 🤗
The technique for a wig with open wefts would be different, a little easier though. You would just cut away the unwanted wefts (horizontally or vertically) and then sew them back together vertically or horizontally depending on whether you want to make the wig smaller lengthwise or width wise. .
Great instructions and I'm going to subscribe and try this. I am wondering why you are using that spray on your forehead? It cannot be good for your scalp. It is likely in part, due to alopecia but in addition, your scalp can't breath and your pores clogged. As a suggestion and I am only recommending it (respectfully). Since you are wearing a lace front and maybe a wig here or there, free yourself, cut your hair and start anew'. It is a relief and the emotional attachment we have to our hair no matter how much or little is draining. You will feel so free. Besides, if you aren't doing anything with it anyway, why not. Good luck and I love your video!
Thanks so much for watching my videos! I'm glad that you found them useful and thanks so much for subscribing! I have shaved my head several times but really like blending my units with my existing hair. Also the spray adhesive is not invasive at all and removes easily with water so I find that much better than using harsh adhesive products. Thanks again for watching and commenting! 💕😊
This technique will work with a non lace wig with wefts. It should not compromise the style because you will judge how many wefts to remove in order to make a better fit.
What about from ear to ear. The lace is 14” and u need it to be 12.5, it cuts my ears off. Luckily it’s a long wig, so you can’t tell I have my ears in my cap. But Celaya’s id that I can’t wear it a long time
I’m doing my first custom lace front. I’m going to be ventilating the perimeter and put tracks in the middle. Question: I was concerned her first mold wasn’t accurate so I had her come back, got over zealous with the tap. Afraid it made her mold go up a size. Instead of having her come back a THIRD time, I was thinking about making most of the wig then call her in for an adjustment. Your Honest Thoughts please.
Good idea, Linda. Make as much of the wig as possible, making sure to have it so you can quickly alter any areas that might need adjusting and then tell her to come in for a final fitting. This will gain her confidence and show your professionalism. 👌😊
