The dig2go is very easy to use for 5v ws2812b or sk6812 LED strip but you can also drive 5v ws2811 pixels and pixels beads with it so let's take a look at that!

I think you selling pre-made set ups is an awesome idea.

I'm running 1024 matrix from dig2go. All power injection is from the dig2go. The power is really quite impressive.

I just inject power in front which then powers the dig2go so I can inject power in multiple spots 😊 awesome product!

I think the bundle idea, providing it could be economical, sounds really good. Maybe you could have a few options, like a 50, 100 or 150 pixel bundle? Definitely an interesting idea, especially for some nice holiday lights. I think DrZzZs used these early on and had some channel that the pixels could snap into as well if you wanted to do pixels in a straight line.

Excellent video and the pre christmas advice, now we all have time enough to order those fairy lights for christmas (you can never be early enough and never order too many leds), can we have a follow up with an 241 pixel rings, a matrix 16x16 style maybe a few of them , cob lightstrip, and the Dig2go is excellent in fast checking ledstrips you already mounted somewhere or just have laying around.

Great video! Any of your boards support WS2818 pixels with constant current circuit driver method? (part# RA-WS2818-3LED-12V-PCBA-26mm-20 on Ali). Looking forward to new livestream with calculation help, Thx. Cheers!

It looks very nice, but I am in the UK, and I am unable to get a kit, so do you do a kit of parts to make your own or do you have all the information for me to make my own, as I just want some low voltage LED lights around the house that I can control with Wi-Fi. Thanks Bob in the UK

This is helpful to know that the Dig2Go can be used with other types of LED's. Do you think you'll make a video on how you spliced the pigtail?
@IntermitTech
@IntermitTech Год назад
Maybe in the future but the idea is to maybe make pre-made cables. It's just a straight through connection with a WAGO, nothing special. :)

very interested to be able to order pixels with pigtail for a reasonable price. I'm going to use this with the dig octa system, powerboard 7 with two brainboards.

It would be awesome if the Dig Uno could have a native USB-C connector for power. I can get an inexpensive battery adapter that will take an input of up to 28 volts and output USB-C PD 3.1 voltages of 5, 9, 12, 15, 20, 28, 36, and 48 volts, maxed at the input of the battery. I don't yet know the efficiency, but now I can skip a buck converter which I use now for a 4S LIPO battery to drop to 12 volts out to the Dig Uno. I can do this with a PD Trigger board, but inspired by the Dig2Go the USB-C powering would be awesome. Will you ever build a 12v-capable Dig2Go?
@johnnyvandemoosdijk
@johnnyvandemoosdijk Год назад
Is it possible to use more than 150 pixels with a dig2go? because in the examples you use max 10w and dig to go can use 30w, so if you put a wago between the pigtale and power inject to the back or middle maybe 200/250 pixels are possible?

@@IntermitTech Tried that but my computer does not recognize the USB device. Is there a reset that can be done directly on the device? Not sure what happened to this one. It was working fine and then suddenly it would no longer connect to wifi or USB. The second Dig2Go is working just fine. Awesome controller, by the way!
@locosmuevenmundo

what will be the maximum pixels without injecting an external power?
@IntermitTech
@IntermitTech 11 месяцев назад
Up to about 150 it's fine, beyond that they get a bit starved for power.

I was just looking at your site at the analog section and I noticed that the white light led strip with good quality are all not available in ip65. Do you know if this has any special reason or do you know (on aliexpress) also good quality but with ip65 rating?

I used the Dig2go with a fully charged 20.000 mah powerbank to light up a meter sk6812 led strip for my bedroom closet. I find out that the powerbank is out of power real fast. I thought the Dig2Go had a feature that prevents this power draining. The light didn't turn on that much. Does others have the same experience?
@IntermitTech
@IntermitTech Год назад
Yes the relay feature is by default turn on which means all power to the LED strip is cut so the LEDs won't draw idle power when turned off. The dig2go itself then consumes about 0.4w to 0.5w or so to stay alive which would give you a realistic standby time of about 66Hours or 3 days just being idle. I have an upcoming article which will explain more about this and how to calculate everything to see if what you are getting in regards to runtime is what you should be getting!

Hey bud, I bought a Dig2go last week. Can I combine neopixel rings in series with Led strips? The strips are BTS lighting ws2812b and he neopixels are the adafruit 12 led rings? I have tested both independently with the Dig2go but have not combined them in series yet until I verify. Thanks for any response.

@@IntermitTech thanks. One more. I thought I had RGB led WS2812s but in the WLED program the color order does not match. It seems when I switch to GRB it matches colors on the pallet and LEDs. Did I miss something on the packaging from BTS. I dont still have it. it works so thats good but just curious. maybe i missed a video somewhere

@@kmonty6188 It depends on the LED chip used what the color order is, nothing wrong in that sense.
