I was taught #2 when I was learning Japanese Bu-Jitsu more than twenty years ago. Now that I'm in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, I'm the only one in my class that ties the belt like this. I still prefer it because it doesn't make that weird cross in the back. I like how clean it is.
I like the competitor best. For future videos I would suggest using a belt that can be easily seen against the colour of the gi being used (like the white belt at the end. Maybe even use different colour belts which each work with the gi being used).
The _Competitor_ is the one I use, but I also have seen another one with only one end between the two layers, the _Seoul Tee_ was how the guy from Red Dragon Diaries called it. Great video, thanks!
I cross it in front then spin it around (so the back is flush) (I think its faster then the "2nd Way") with the 3rd way and it is flush and does not come out
The professional is the best one for this! The knot is the least likely to come undone. But in the grand scheme of things your gi coming out has to do with how tightly you tie your belt not the knot you use.
@@orangeInc311 I prefer a loose belt so it is harder to use against me when passing, sweeping, or attempting throws. Its good to have your belt a little loose man. You'll get used to it coming untied a lot.
