Rule 5.2.1.C. Determine the first player. Randomly choose a player. That player then decides which player begins the game with the initiative counter (they may choose to start with the counter or give it to an opponent).

Really fun game and decks! I want Mando to be good, but I worry that he will suffer from the same problem as Thrawn where tapping things down is such a temporary solution and requires you to have initiative, which will be hard to maintain if you are removing their possible actions. Also, not that it ended up being important, but Cunning can't bounce Nest because it's bounce is limited to non-leaders with 4 or less power.
