Same. Back when I had a season ticket. I saw Jimmy and Bowyer both score to beat Derby 4-3 after going 3-0 down. It felt like nothing was impossible in those days.

People would be shocked hearing this today But back at turn of the century, this was what football was at highest levels Leeds did plenty of bad things on the field as well. That was football back then, and its why people enjoyed it, these players wanted to win, and they played to win. Todays footballers did not come through what these two came through, and you can see both can just laugh about it here, with no problems Bringing up this story today is unfair, as football was different then, and back then teams at top of epl played to win, and playing to win, meant that, not like todays champagne charlies who play football. Elland road back then was a tough place to goto, especially if the crowd got going. When you went there you wanted to keep the leeds fans quiet, as if you did not, they could lift the leeds team, and they would literally be all over you. Elland road leeds, was one of those tough stadiums to play in, and if the crowd got excited, the leeds team back then would be all over you, as martin said. That was unique to leeds, not many clubs had that wonderful support, upton park in london was only real london ground that compared to that energy elland road could produce

@@jimmybalantyne5545Hello Jimmy. All teams in that era needed at least one 'hard man'. Most of them had no skill. The reason Utd dominated in that era was that they had loads, and all of them also possessed skills. Keown had none. He won a few medals for his role, which was to basically kick anything that moved. Thus, medals do not denote skill, talent or ability in the case of someone like Keown. He gained them by doing his job effectively. In comparison Maguire has a modicum of talent on the ball compared to Keown. His problem is that he is too slow. Keown was more mobile, but that only assisted him in being an enforcer, not a baller. 👍
