FACTS, I've noticed whenever I'm speaking Japanese I'm way more polite, and when I'm speaking Russian I feel like I'm being more direct, more to the point.

I'm Moroccan too, it's not that rare, you can find a lot of people who speak 3,4 or even 5 languages here. I speak 4 languages, and I'm gonna learn more for sure.

@@brettfafata3017 meanwhile, im american and ive literally had people swear that im canadian and im from california and i like i sound like a stereotypical californian. Though I do speak a little italian which messes with people sometimes.
@@pilsplease7561 Same, I studied abroad for 2 years, and when I came back people said I didn't sound like an American anymore. Then my accent eventually went back to normal. Your surroundings and the media you consume can really influence the way you speak.
Well, he confused italian people with spanish, but you can almost recognise everybody, the most difficult are south asian people because many of them are born in usa or in different countries like vietnam, china, philiphines, etc... .

Learning just two words of Arabic scored me a random kiss in a bar once. (I worked with Egyptians for 4 years here in the US, was bound to learn something.) People appreciate so much when you learn their language. It is the ultimate respect. The ultimate way to show you believe others to be equal. Native English speakers are super spoiled in this regard.

damn those murican asking why he is speaking english. seems like a strange concept to learn a foreign language :P we in switzerland have to learn german french and english mandatory, and you can add like italian, spanish or latin in 8th grade if you want to. so its 3 or 4 foreign languages during main school (9 years), counting german in it, because we speak swiss german which differs alot from standard german.
Knowing some phrases in multiple languages doesn't make someone a polyglot. Man, these "RU-vidr polyglots" really be claiming to be more than what they really are. I've lived in Russia, China and Vietnam for a year each just to study the languages, all of which I speak at C-level(highest level just under native) and still I wouldn't call myself a polyglot.
For your info sir, here in Malaysia we have three major ethnic groups: Malay, Chinese and Indian. Like the 1st guy in the video his a Malay and he doesn't speak Chinese like other Malaysian Chinese..

I am really impressed by people being able to speak languages from a total different culture. I have to do with Japanese and Chinese people on my work here in Germany and I am really impressed by them about beeing able to communicate at least in English.
