As a Wrexham ST holder it was a difficult watch for a few reasons. Needed the points but like Yeovil and their fans, believe and pull together and your club will come back, all the best for the future
I remember being a casual Man Utd fan and seeing Yeovil taking Man Utd to a replay in the FA Cup back in the 00s and how fantastic it was to see. I hope the club gets back into the League soon. Best of luck to the club and to the town.
To be honest am a chesterfield fan and feel sorry for cooper if chairman pulling plug on transfers. Can’t understand why he dint resign after that stunt by chairman
Scoring goals was the problem, and has been since before Cooper came in. Everyone blamed Priestnal; then Uggla came along and still bought the wrong players yet everyone now blames Cooper. The mind boggles.
Can't believe how far the club has fallen in so short a time. I remember the euphoria of promotion to the championship even if we knew we'd struggle. It's been a cataclysmic decline ever since & only the owners of the club are to blame. No investment leads to negative results. Fingers crossed the takeover completes and we can progress again. No reason why we shouldn't be a stable league 1 club.
Weren't Yeovil a non-league club for the majority of their history? To think that a tinpot club with a very small fan base could be a stable League 1 club is delusional! 😂 Just being in League 2 would be a huge achievement for a club like Yeovil considering there are many bigger clubs in the National League. 😬
@@aidygooner there's barely any decent clubs in the west country around Yeovil. Plymouth Argyle & the Bristol clubs were our closest competition until Exeter began doing well.
@@jt5765 even League 1 is almost half filled by ex premier league clubs which shows the increased standards. Just seen that Yeovil were in the 6th tier of English football in 1997 which is pretty recent-ish so whilst it's good to have ambitions and hope, the Yeovil fans need to concentrate on supporting their players rather than have a sense of entitlement as the level of potential is small for clubs like Yeovil compared to the Bristol clubs and Plymouth.
YTFC natural position is tier 4/5 given their gates. Their history shows a very limited time in the Football League...League One would be an over-achievement on a regular basis and the Championship was a pipe-dream which was badly mishandled which then led to the current slide. The slide has not yet been arrested...Unless this ownership chaos is sorted out quickly NLS could be a struggle..More worrying is the possibility that dark forces could be trying to make money out of the club's demise...Nice land you've got there..Shame if it became flats...
Needing to win to stave off relegation,to see Yeovil time wasting after 5 minutes was shocking. Yes,they had to keep their heads and not go all out from the 1st minute, but why try to win a game when you go 1 nil down.Surely the best chance was when it was 0-0,needing 1 goal is better than needing at least 2.
