Definitely never has been, and never will be, "the G. O. A. T". At least one player in front of him, if not up to 3. Personally I'd put Messi, Maradona and Pelé above him. You could even make arguments that he's not the best European footballer ever, with Cruyff and Best in that argument. He may not even be the best Portuguese player ever with Eusébio in that debate. With players like Ronaldinho and Ronaldo (R9 - Brazilian), he may not even be the best Ronaldo. His career is impressive, no doubt. For me he's 4th on the all-time list, and the best European, but he certainly isn't definitively the greatest. It's all subjective anyway.
