I lived a humble life with my wife, 4 children and 8 grandchildren, I am almost 70 now and If I had to do it again I wouldn't change a thing. Have you ever heard the old saying money does not buy happiness, well the hell with wealth because at the end of the game we all go into the same box.

We all want our children to do better financially than we did. Some of my Uncles were more prosperous than my grandfather. My dad on the other hand, had to work hard to make a living. My brother earns more than me. But I earn more than my older brother. My oldest daughter makes 3X what I did when I was her age. I believe that choices we make early in life dictates our earning potential later in life.

Let's get together and preach this from the rooftops! We need to keep them in prayer. Throughout the Scriptures, Jesus fed the hungry. He commanded His disciples to feed the poor and heal the sick. The Church has the responsibility to help those that hunger and clothe those that are naked but they are neglecting to meet their responsibility. If the Church truly dedicated itself to fulfill these areas of their calling, God would provide the resources. It is not up to government and we can see how they are failing. It is important to understand that net worth does not translate into actual spendable wealth. Just because someone's networth is 100 billion doesn't mean they could go buy something for 100 billion any more than you can. It just means they own and control assets worth that much. Their taxable income is likely orders of magnitude less than their net worth.

@tomtube1012 No, most of these guys pay themselves an annual salary, which is their taxable income. Typically, no more than a few hundred thousand dollars per year. Their assets, planes, yachts, even homes, etc. , would be owned through various LLCs.

Elon Musk WILL likely eliminate poverty. The age of aquarius is upon us. A lot of this AI tech is going to go open source eventually & trickle down. There's still an ocean of applications out there for just gpt 4 that are waiting to be developed. It really is time to start working on replicating professional skills like dentistry, surgery, etc. Gtp 4 has a functional IQ of 155, way higher than most dentists I've met... It makes a huge difference in the quality of your life. True wealth allows you to basically go where you want when you to and do what you want to within the law. True philanthropists could make a big difference with their money if they chose to. Example potable water readily accessible to all of africa. It is a wonderful thought, but there is always greed. UN ships in food to the hungry and it is looted by the people in charge and not given to the hungry. Why does this happen? It does not need to be this way, but it is.

My ex-wife and I put two children through private colleges Depaul University and Columbia college both in Chicago. We had to make sacrifices but now I sit back at 63 years old and I’m very proud of both of them. I personally never went to one day of college, but with common sense I ended up making a good living.
