This is why I call you Godfather!!! Honesty, transparency, upfront, no bull, raw TRUTH!! You have always told your audience to use our own nose and to choose a fragrance wisely. I myself ignored this release because I'm aware now of all the lies in these RU-vid streets when it comes to hyped fragrances. And for 150.00 I would rather buy a good niche for that price before I buy a sub par designer fragrance that's not worth it. Thank you Godfather I really enjoyed this review🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.
These prices honestly are a big reason I'm being a little harder on these designer scents now. When they were sub 100 and you could buy 2 new designers vs 1 niche it made it easier to pull the trigger.
Thank you for being honest about this scent. It was going to be on my summer purchased list, but you stated it would be $150 and not worth the price. So I will wait until it hits discounters instead.
@@robes08 that’s about $110 usd. Yea I think that is a little steep for a Le Beau JPG designer at the moment. Under $100 would be ideal. Can’t wait for your full review.
Cheers Marc, I had positive expectations for this green release,as I feel most green fragrances age not too age specific, but my trepidation of it being a Q.B. And a big price tag for mundane ingredients and this line have been exposed extremely honest and on point by your good self. Great job much appreciated man 🙏✌️👍
The note breakdown had such promise with fig, mint, coconut but sadly the mint is so minimal, the coconut toned down for the original and the fig is almost candied (such a weird note, not sure why bisch didn't decided to use a true fig leaf note as it's readily available). On to the next..
@@robes08 candied fig just turns it into something other than a green left field flanker for me ,disappointed Marc was kinda hoping it would renew my interest in the house and I nearly blind bought it only for you fast purchase and review bravo brother 🙏👍
I ordered a sample, but in the meantime I found a bottle for $121 & blind bought it.The sample arrived,I over sprayed it & my wife about three me out of the room. She hated it & stated I hope you didn’t buy a full bottle.Needless to say,I wished I could have viewed your video ….. You describe my sentiments precisely…….Moral of the story,I need to stop viewing the RU-vid influencers, and tune in to your channel first!!💥💥🔥🔥.
Lol, next time, it's probably best to wait until the sample arrives. FOMO is a real thing, don't worry on missing out on new releases they will be around for at least 6 months.
The best Quentin Bish fragrance is Amouage Purpose, beast mode in every possible way and very well blended and structured, would like to see you review it when u have a chance, keep it rocking Marc!
Thanks for the honest take. I have this coming in next week, looking forward to comparing how you felt. With Le Beau Le Parfum i felt the same way you did, loved the opening then quickly disappeared. Tried to like it but something just didnt click
le beau smells good, how does that one smells compared to the le parfum and is that one very manly... Ultra male is my favorite becasue its unisex and sweet like candy which i have along with Classique X
JPG will catch a spike in sales launching these just before spring starts. I got a decant, best in the line…but it’s not a line I particularly enjoy. I haven’t gotten to enjoy much fig-based fragrances yet…I’ll have to look into the MJ one you mentioned. Thanks Marc
Marc Jacobs Man is an excellent fig sadly it's probably around $200 a bottle online now because of discontinuation. Might as well go niche with Philosykos.
Its Le Beau EDT minus 50% coconut... thats all.... Quentin Bisch take Le Beau and add 1/4 Kenzo EDP... Performance is like a BEAST... JPG ELIXIR is still KING no doubt..
Marc this brand and I long since parted. I love my vintage Le Male but the brand is targeting young guys who shop at the mall and the quality and style of the newer scents just aren’t my thing anymore. But I still wear my mid 2000s bottle of Le Male in spring
I agree Panda, I was actually looking at my wearings of the brand and saw that the OG, Fleur du Male and Gaultier2 are the ones I've been reaching for. All older releases.
Disappointing. I was looking forward to trying this one, but now , not sure. Had higher hopes for this over LeMale Lover, which I hadn't planned on getting. Thanks for the great videos and helping out with my fragrance journey.
Are you sure you have enough Le Male Elixir on the shelf to your left?! Did you spray Paradise Garden before this video? At 4:28, that spray was perfect indicating the bottle had been sprayed before. Where did you pick up a tester? Since this was supposed to be an unboxing video and Puig doesn’t use formula codes, it would have been nice if you mentioned the batch code and had given us a screen shot of the ingredients on the can for future reference in case of reformulation.
Definitely gotta get those youngsters buyin' buyin' buyin'. With an entire generation now heading into retirement, I suppose I can understand the push to appeal to the kids. The unfortunate irony is that despite the amount of choice out there now, homogenization has become the new gold standard and a breeding ground for uncultured nescience. Can't fault the brands for going after what sells. To quote Kent Brockman, "Now at the risk of being unpopular, this reporter places the blame for all this squarely on YOU, THE VIEWERS." 🤣
I'm just surprised at price now of these designer scents. They used to target the 50-100 dollar section now its 100-200 market and the quality has not gone up with it. I recall when Chanel was the only one with scents over 150 for big bottles.
Bisch isn't very good honestly. Once you really start going into this hobby and see perfumery and noses and what they do and the talent. You'll see what I mean.
and im telling the people that are getting swindled into paying $250+ for niche frags for compliments, a woman (or man) 9 out of 10 times will complement a JPG frag over something from Xerjoff or PDM. People simply do not care and do not have the nose for high profile scents so make sure you are buying it for yourself and not for "compliments" Ive been collecting fragrences as long as the dude in the video so mid 90s he's just being pretentious with it
I'm just being honest, I don't look for co-signs in the comments. Positive thoughts on the fragrance are always welcomed in the comments section. As for the comments section, my channel caters to a different side of the fragrance community and it shows when I review a sub par release. Hope that clarifies.
