I recently found your channel and i found it great! the only feedback i would give to you is that you can improve on the thumbnails. other than that great content, you earned a sub :)
Can you please consider doing an overview of your entire Tom Ford collection? I’m a big TF guy and would love to see what you have and what you enjoy! Thank you. Hello From South Texas
your review is on point and totally unbiased - as usual. about the price - yes indeed it is a luxury product. however even if it is a luxury product, the manifactor must justify the high price. the real question is - can i can a fragrace on the same level (or better) for a lower price. and in this case - the answe is a HARD YES. therefore, this is a hard pass for me and many others. it IS very high quality, it IS niche, but you can find better luxury fragrances for less. the same goes for EVERy louis vitton ever created. have a great week and much love from Israel
I tested this one in the spring and really enjoyed it. I love the simplicity of it, and found it to be very well blended. I am a fan of Tom Ford fragrances to begin with, and thought after hearing all the negative reviews it would be a let down for me as well, but I was pleasantly surprised. It worked very well with my skin chemistry, and hope to pick up a full bottle sometime (probably from a discounter) as I don’t like the Tom Ford prices.
I despised this with a passion. This smelled awful on my skin, and I got none of the notes, which sounded like a dream before spaying this. On a side note, I’m curious to see more reviews on francesca bianchi scents, as I just saw your review on her. I have Angel’s Dust and Tyger Tyger and love them both. Great video and review. I’m glad the scent worked on your skin chemistry.
I didn’t hate this one like most reviewers. It was a basic play doh-ish vanilla with an overly synthetic animatic note at the top. I hate the price but the scent was fine.
I haven't seen a lot of "Tom Ford Haters" when it comes to their best work like Ombré Leather, Beau De Jour, Noir Extreme Parfum, Costa Azzura Parfum etc. It's this specific fragrance that people are shitting on for it's name and its "lets throw ourselves into this vanilla fad" origin story. Every time they pump one of these out, they could have been releasing something more interesting. They're off to a better start this year with Black Lacquer and Amber Intrigue. Those are the type of scents I look for from Tom Ford. Well made, high quality ingredients, interesting but not so artsy that it weirds everyone out. That's what they're best at.
Cheers Marc , I completely understand the love ya have as a collector of T.F. , after all he was a forerunner for high end designer with an edge , I would love some of them discontinued unicorns for sure but I won’t pay the ridiculous entry price for the privilege. I have my fair share TF and glad to have them , older firm favorites for example and One newer, Ebene Fume. It is what it is being a collector is entirely a different animal to being a fragrance user . Cheers buddy nicely done 🤛👊💪
I own a lot of TF, but I like to be wowed. This doesn’t wow. It’s just fine. Why would I add a fine to the collection that has a lot of loves? Regardless of price? It would not get any wears. It would just be a cream-coloured pawn on the TF chess board. And that board is doing fine without Vanilla Sex or Cherry Smoke. They are not Pokemon cards. Though the Lavender Extrême is indeed a beautiful bottle, Soleil Brûlant I can live without. Same thing, too bad, no gold private bland.
This fragrance sounded boring but I will actually try it out. Have you done a review on Black Orchid edp? That's my favorite fragrance. I want to hear what you say about that lol 😂
Hello, thank you for your content on “fragrance pato-celebrities.” It led me to your channel, which indeed stands out among many fragrance channels. I’m curious if you’ve heard about perfumes by Robert Piguet. Among them is my favorite - Oud de Robert Piguet. The brand is more known for the perfume Casbah, but I haven’t tried that one. Oud, however, is my favorite scent. If you know it, what’s your opinion on it?
I know of the brand, and it's a pretty well-regarded brand as well. Sadly I haven't sniffed any yet. I do want to sniff several so hopefully in the near future.
I thought your comments about an almost waxy, iris-like feel were interesting. My girlfriend thought there was iris in it, which she is attuned to because she hates iris, while I love it. Vanilla Sex - I found the far dry down to be just straight vanilla and a bit boring, and the price absurd, but I quite liked the way this one smelled. I have gourmand vanillas with a thicker, syrupy or burnt edge. This is the other end of what vanilla can be.
😂😂😂 this guy has an issue with Pdm . He’s my all time favorite reviewer but I love pdm regardless of his opinion at the end of the day these videos hold more entertainment value . Taste is subjective
You read my mind.😂 If it was PDM, there would be 15 minutes of explanations about how simple, expensive and how similar it is to others. But expensive, simple and similar to 100 other Tom Fords... "it's good".😂😂 The reviews for a few brands I just skip over...no point, just a waste of time 😅
Cool unboxing, thank you! Comparison to Cuir Béluga -- yes, I think so too! I have an issue with the name though. I think the name is kinda dull this time (in comparison, if we look at ELDO, who love edgy names, -- they do great in such naming, making the names ironic and playful). The scent itself is soo pretty; and in my humble opinion TF just cannot make bad vanilla hehe! Vanilla is their heritage :)
@@robes08 I want them to be creative if they want to be provocative :) I want to be surprised! But! I am ok with any name if the juice is good, and in this sense I normally can rely on TF.
Most similar fragrance i have tried to vanilla sex is BDK - Velvet tonka. Very boring scent dna, if it is reasonably priced. Would be worth to have. It is an easy skip for me. Would rather take any guerlain vanilla over it.
To me this fragrance smells like plain vanilla with a repulsive pissiness. Excluding the price and simply stating on the fragrance it smells very boring, just my opinion. Oh and thanks for all your honesty as always Mark.
No, I won't unsubscribe. My wife has this. Not one of my favorite vanilla fragrances that she has. Hate, however, is too strong a word. More like "meh." There are other vanillas in her collection that are a lot better. Interestingly, it is also one she doesn't wear very often. Like pandafragrance, I too pick up the play doughy scent. Nothing anamalic though.
