I watched Saltcoats Victoria v Royal Albert in the bottom tier of Scottish football. The West Of Scotland League Division Four never fails to disappoint! #football #soccer #sports
He reminded me of ‘Fergie’ when he managed Falkirk! That manager is brilliant !!! Chelsea, get on the plane… thanks Sam, your joy is infectious… your ok for an Englishman 😉
Can’t thank Sam Hailes of Footy Adventures enough for his two visits to Campbell Park. Loved my crazy celebration being on the record! 😂 - Don Currie, Club Chaplain & Secretary, Saltcoats Victoria FC
Sam, I’m delighted you came back to witness and share the progress Saltcoats have made. Bryan, the squad, the coaches and everyone behind the scenes have been working so hard. Over the moon they got a win and you can see how much it means. Thanks again for following the journey
Watching this makes me miss the absolute mayhem and competition of the game at this level. Everybody scraps for every wee decision and everyone has each others back. Congrats on the win lads.
Another great video Sam. If I may suggest a game for next Saturday 21/10 if you don't have any plans yet: there is a HUGE game in Dundee between numbers 1 and 2 in the Midlands League: Lochee United v Broughty Athletic. Lochee United are 1 point ahead in the table, both have been in good form with only 1 draw for Lochee United and 1 defeat for Broughty and all other games won. Both had a stoppage time win today, Broughty over Forfar United (2-1), while Lochee United even scored 2 in stoppage time against Tayport to turn over a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win in front of 400ish fans. If Lochee United win the league & the subsequent play-off, we can become the first Dundee team in the Highland League. Broughty are (currently) ineligible for promotion as they don't have an SFA license.
Its mad that there are only 4 teams that can get into the HL due to licensing (Lochee, Golspie. Fort William and Tayport) don't think any of the Aberdeen clubs qualify. Id suggest finding a good bus company sponsor Wick and Brora are treks for you!
@@LB1973 Yeah, there would be some long journeys for us. We've played away at Wick in the Scottish Cup last season already and I made a weekend of it. Brechin would be a good one for us though, effectively our local derby.
My Grandparents and cousins all come from Ardrossan and Saltcoats. Love this. The wee man was awesome as was the guy going there for 50 years and the Saltcoats manager Brian. Brilliant. Football at it's best.
The bottom tier series is the best footy content on RU-vid. Well done Sam, highlighting the very best of Scottish fitba far better than a bitter Motherwell fanzine ever will.
Class! Struck gold yesterday with this. Keep making videos like this and I'll keep watching. Your fantastic coverage of the lower levels of Scottish football is your USP. I tend to skip over the Old Firm ones, it's unfortunate you need them to build the channel.
I attended this game as I am a Royal Albert fan. Wish I noticed you were there and I would've come and said Hi. Ps if my at times foul language was picked up at any time then I apologise however watching that sort of performance every week takes its toll
Great to see the Vics get a result, well deserved for all those involved. Don't like astroturf but think it would be a good thing for them to get local people more involved. The park always feels a little bit out of the way and maybe forgotten about.
Excellent vid Sam! Well done Saltcoat Vics. Seems like they are improving their ground too. Great stuff. The manager,Brian, seems like a Scottish Paul Cook.
Well, I have a Scottish team to support now too. Great video Sir, I now intend to watch 'em, (which will be fun in a 37 year old campervan from London).
Hey Footy, great to see more bottom tier content. Honestly, you're the best channel on RU-vid! I know it's hard to come up with new ideas but just know we'll always support you!
Yeah!!!Good friend Sam,I am extremely so happy to see you uploading a few videos regarding the bottom tier and I have already knew some of the respective teams!!!A fantastic match of course and I am getting updated to the Non League Scottish football of course, good friend!!!LONG LIVE SCOTTISH LEAGUE FOOTBALL,GOOD FRIEND!!!🏋♂️
Fan, manager, young boy - all class. I'm thinking football is a fantastic escape from some of our current environments. Keep this going, Sam, love it. And well done to Scotland for the Euros. Respect from County Durham, Hail, hail 🍀
What would be made for this RU-vid channel at this point would be any Highland League game anywhere, anytime, like one of the oldest leagues in the world instead of the 500th video of a recently created central belt sub division of random clubs who did not evolve together. Respect the history.
Mate, I absolutely love what you do for the Scottish game. You are an inspiration. Shining a light on all the levels throughout Scottish footy. Keep up the great work. Maybe one day I can shake our hand.
Great content and the passion at the lowest level is far more than the top level. That young kid spoke really well so he might have a commentators job in years to come😂.
Sam - YT brought this vid to me. It was a wonderful look-in on amateur football. I loved the long-time fan, the young fan and the manager. Great passion, camraderie and loyalty. Well done. Subscribed.
Rangers and Celtic and in fact, ALL top-tier teams should be shown your video to show them what football is all about and not just lining your pockets to get the latest Ferrari or gold Rolex. Keep them coming wee man
Mental to see another video of you in Saltcoats again. Also can't believe you sat in Sandylands restaurant 🤣 I used to work there still work with the same company so big shout out there...another class video Sam your content is one of the main ones I watch out for daily 👍✌️
Excellent. This eclipses any coverage of the so predictable top tier. I have zero interest in anything about the Old Firm. So refreshing to hear enthusiasm overflowing here amid a proper setting. I checked on Wikipedia and both sides have a great history going back 145 years … and some success to report
My local team is Mallaig playing summer football in the Skye and Lochalsh League. I will be off to watch Fort William v Inverness FC this weekend. Love the stories, love the game
Sam with yes since 4k subs. I knew ye would blow up. Hope to see you back in ireland soon we can go to a shelbourne fc game now owned by hulls owners with damien duff as manager 🤣🇮🇪
CONTENT IDEA: A series of ‘What does a xxx do?’ Find out what a match secretary, chairman, assistant coach, catering manager, physio, etc, etc does on match days or in the lead up to match days. All levels from the national team to the bottom of WoSFL4.
Great ! I love these teams unknown outside local area. Maybe not this, but some league 3or4 stadiums in Britain are bigger than top division teams in Croatia or Bosnia 😂
Wish I could start with one of these teams in Football Manager. I love to start with a team in Vanarama south or north in England and try bringing them all the way to Premier League
Would you say that if it was Ipswich (or whoever ITFC are ) winning their league that much , no you wouldn't. You've posted more than enough times on this channel so I suspect you are just being a fud
