I started with Persuasion and was excited to find another main character like Jane Eyre. Didn’t know Anne Elliott was one of her most mature characters, hopefully I’ll like the other ones as much.
Some of Austen’s heroines are more silly and naive, but I think Elinor from Sense and Sensibility shares a lot of Anne’s qualities. I would definitely recommend SS if you want a story similar to persuasion.
This was great Emma! I really want to reread/listen to Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey next month but also Sense and Sensibility, too many maybe 🤣.
My first one was Pride and Prejudice just because of the hype and my second one was Northanger Abbey because it was marketed as a parody of other spooky stories and I was just in the mood for that. Loved them both but I ought to reread Pride and Prejudice
