Good question. When write an angle in degrees, minutes, seconds, the degree amount is already established. Technically what we're doing to find minutes is setting up a ratio like this: In our case it's 0.2809° to minutes, so ... 1 degree = 60 minutes 0.2809° degrees = x minutes Hope that makes sense!
