So true. The book is less about the psychology of money, like our childhood experiences and exposure to money and how does it have an impact on our financial behavior, but more on being humble and patient, living in your means while accumulating wealth, which does not necessarily need to be read 😂
Absolutely agree! I think the ‘lessons’ are really just common sense, and are aimed at those already accumulating some wealth. I was missold this book 😅
As someone who read this book in my early 20s, I did enjoy it as someone who didn’t know much. Being a decade older (not so much wiser) now I 100% agree with your review. Great video.
I really enjoyed your analysis of this book. I read this book a while ago but I just checked and I got rid of it. I remember just not getting a lot out of it for a lot of the reasons you mentioned. Would love to hear more of your thoughts about other big books in the genre. I’ve been picking up a lot of finance books lately and was thinking of sharing my thoughts on my channel. I need to check out the Financial Recovery book, I’ve not heard of it before.
