📡 OTH Radar wipes out the 40m Amateur Radio band then suddenly stops transmitting 😧👀 

I always call it OTH Radar, but think that’s force of habit, whoever or whatever it is it’s annoying when your trying to work 40ms!

@Ringway Manchester, it is not PLUTO. PLUTO does not go below 8000 kHz, and it does not use this PRI (40 Hz). This is the 29B6 Container radar. The 29B6 goes down to about 6000 kHz, uses 40 Hz on a regular basis, and uses FMOP, as seen in this video, vs the FMCW of many other OTHRs. If we knew the date and time of this video (in UTC) we could confirm the radar type using the full day display of the University of Twente WebSDR.

Your probably right but I always know and call it as OTH Radar, habit I think. Of late 40 is terrible for this but I’ve heard it on 20, 80 and 10m too it’s really all over the place.
