Hi everyone!!! I really wanted to post this video for you all but links are not yet available. Taking a chemistry exam tonight and I’ll have them available afterward (probably 1 am or so EST!). Love and light 💛🌱
I am super new to candle making and I LOVE your channel. Thank you so much for your time and insight. I love how you give research based results, and are so kind to share your knowledge. This is a very intimidating process, but one that I’m really excited about! You have given me so much hope to continue trying even when it’s frustrating!🖤
Yes please on the label video. I want to change the label on my timelines perfume and I want it black but couldn’t get it right on my canon laser printer, thank you and beautiful candles as always. Love from AZ
Thanks for sharing! A perfume may not be ideal for these because the bottle may tend to get more moisture, possibly leading to all the toner chipping but it would be worth a try!
Those matte black jars can be a pain. I’ve discovered however, if I can’t get the wax off with alcohol, I will switch to Dawn Power Spray. That is the Dawn dish soap in the spray form. You spray it on there, rub just a little and use a damp paper towel to get the soap residue off. It will remove 99% of the wax.
I’m super interested in the video n how to cut the dust covers! I have a Cricut and I haven’t explored it yet. My brother teases me because I can make alot of things but I haven’t learned the Cricut yet! 😫 thank you for your videos!
Your candles are beautiful and high end looking. I would be interested to see your process for making the dust covers. I would also love some insight into the ordering process for Alibaba...I've gone to the site but it's very confusing to me.
Hi Tracy! In short, I would not recommend ordering from Alibaba. I have had a lot of trouble due to substantial damage in transit and they can be very difficult at remedying this. I’d encourage you to check out Alibaba videos that I’ve posted on this channel, and that may give you a better idea.
Thank You Allen for being so kind to share your candle making tips. They are very friendly and relaxing to watch. May I ask what the diameter of the silver tins you use are? if possible can you share the Amazon link? Merry Christmas!
Yes, the diameter is about 3.05 inches and I will do my best to add an Amazon link to my Amazon storefront in the coming days. Are you interested in the silver, gold, or black color?
@@earthglow thanks for responding I like the black ones I can’t wait to see you new follow up on Soy 10 I am testing it now in the 3.1 call jar with a CDN 7 about half through nit all the way to the edge might go up to a 8 In the 8 oz tin I m testing 2 CDN 2 but just started it Again thanks for being so kind I am on a few of these candle groups and they sometimes have lots of negative vibes lol Happy New Year in advance
Allen, I Love your vids very informative. Question... If using the Black Astra jar with a 3.o6 diameter and just 464 what would be a starting point on the CD wick series? I find it hard to pick one that the flames not too high on a 2.95 to a 3.1 jar. Thanks!
I haven't tried selling on Faire yet. The fees were a turn off. Did you have to do anything special to get customers, or did your customers find you organically?
Yup! Definitely still navigating all the fees but for now I call it a fun experiment. I have not tried any of their advertising features, but I may in the future.
Hello Allen, I would like to ask for a little help from you. Could you recommend a supplier who has pleasant, good-intensity fragrances? I'm thinking of women's, men's perfumes, or perfume-like scents. I've tried a few, but none of them had good longevity. Thank you very much in advance for your response!😊
For perfume quality, I’d recommend 16/17 (eg Alastair and Florencia) but keep in mind that true perfumery typically does not use anything marketed as fragrance oils at all. This is something I only recently learned myself!!
I do not currently, but I do respond to as many comments as I can on here, so don’t hesitate to ask me a question and I’ll do my best to provide a response!
Ideally, wholesale pricing is 2x your COGS (cost of goods) at minimum. I am not quite there yet with my pricing-especially with all the fees taken out by Faire but this would be my eventual goal to stay out of the red zone.
