Fun little experiment! Wonder how one from your nicer camera's HDMI out into one of the cheap $15 hdmi capture dongles would work if you downed it to 720? Lose the potential portability though of course! 😂

I tried it with the USB-C dongle I had and of course, the USB-C appears to be power only. I had a USB-A, but now I'm not so sure the USB on the side is even 3.0. I need to dig back into the spec sheet.

Have you tried to enable/disable buffering in properties popup of video source? Looks like OBS just writing image to render buffer half received (like in games with V-Sync disabled) it is either buffering problem or there is no buffering at all.

I did not have much experience but seems with a try. I also tried a different camera and got even better results. I give your idea a try with the new camera and share with everyone.

I have the A06 on the Dev Term. But the screen is too small for OBS.

This could be convenient for pulling up RU-vid studio to edit details and monitor the stream while streaming from a more competent setup.

Perfect use case. I think the real beauty is when you add a BT keyboard for a full-size typing experience.

These are a fun toy, but any use-case they would have could probably be addressed better by another existing product. Still, if I had the cash, I'd buy one just for fun. I actually built something just like this without the track-ball using an RPi3B+ a few years ago, and while it's functional, it's basically just shelf-art that I turn on and let X-Screensaver run.

Oh, dude, bad news. I think I spy malware on your desktop. That AceMagic Mini PC comes with preinstalled malware, and really nasty stuff at that. If this is the first you have heard of it, really need to jump on the issue. Especially since they have been keylogging and recording your passwords.

I became aware after purchase. Mine, according to a scrub, seems to be clean and the reports don't include this model, which is a Ryzen processor, just the Intel models. Thanks for looking out for me though and I'm keeping an eye on it.

@@retroCombs My understanding is that it was software only, and resided both in the recovery console and Windows install. So if you did a clean install where you deleted the existing storage partitions and allowed Windows to repartition during the install, then it would have wiped it. In addition using another OS other than Windows by wiping the storage completely and installing the OS would also have taken care of it. Keep an eye on any password breaches that might have included your info. Just about any password manager will probably monitor that for you. Also, If you are a Google Chrome user, this configuration flag can turn that on: chrome://flags/#password-leak-detection

Some folks have hacked Windows 11 on a Raspberry Pi 4 and the experience is horrible. Maybe when the CM5 is released.

There are different variations of this device. The A06 model can be purchased under $200. For me and in full disclosure, the kind folks at Clockwork provided this unit to me. I didn't say that in this video but did in the original.
