I literally didn't know that ad blockers were a thing, I'm so glad you made this video! Some Chrome extensions I enjoy are Infinity (similar to Momentum), 25 Timer (Pomodoro), Google Dictionary (you only have o highlight a word instead of searching it) and RU-vid NonStop (yt video after another without pauses in between)
Momentum - gives me a to-do list I can use, plus pretty images daily and an inspiring quote. News Feed Eradicator - as someone who is self-employed and lives on the laptop, it's a MUST for my productivity! I installed it 2 years ago and haven't turned it off once. If I want to mindlessly scroll, I have to pick up my phone. For anyone who needs a lot of research, the Google Scholar extension is pretty handy to speed up the process of finding articles. And finally, Noisli is awesome for white noise in the background while you work.
Great video! I am already using Adblocker, Grammarly and Pocket and can confirm they are really useful. Another productivity tool that I am using is Mailbutler, which helps me manage my inbox without stressing about received or sent emails. Keep up with the good content!
Finally, someone else who uses Pocket. I've been using it for the last 5 years and I get so much reading done with it. I also use the Listen feature for when I'm driving or can't sit down to read.

quick semi-related note to anyone with an adblocker: you might have to turn it off or use a different browser if you're trying to connect to public wifi that has a popup sign-in box (like airports, or hotels). i use uBlock Origin, but i might switch to adBlock bc the interface looks more intuitive. this problem hasn't happened to me in a while, but it's something to keep in mind if your computer says you're connected to public wifi but you can't load the website you want

To any new viewers, the first extension mentioned in the video 'The Great Suspender' has been blocked from Google for containing nefarious code after switching owners so I would recommend uninstalling it and perhaps trying to find a safe replacement ❤️
Honey does something similar that adds discounts. Also would love to hear more about how you approach companies to sponsor your videos! Great video, took a few screengrabs 😀

Can I just say a huge thank you? I instantly added pocket, because it is literally something I wanted and your dictionary made me search something similar for a language I am currently learning, so I added an extension called Imtranslator.

While this isn't a productive chrome extension, I love tabs for a cause. Everytime you open up a new tab you get points and you can use those points to donate to different charities.
As far as browser plug-ins go I love Grammarly and Honey. Grammarly, of course, most people know it to be a program that corrects grammar. I think the plug-in has limited functions whereas the full paid version has unlimited. Honey, if I remember correctly, is a plug-in that finds promo codes or coupons on different sites that you shop on. However, there would be times Honey would say that there is a coupon code for what I'm buying but when I used it it didn't work so its a 50-50 chance of you saving money.

HONEY!! Honey is an extension that automatically searches for coupons. I let it run in the background and it will notify you if discounts are found. Mindless and efficient!
For drama addicts, I do t know about you, but sometimes some videos or drama on certain website is not available in my country so you can use “Hola”. It allows you to browse through, acting like you’re from a foreign countries. Sorry my English is not good. Basically for example you’re from Malaysia, but you can’t watch a Chinese drama, you can use hola to browse from China. Then you’ll get to watch the drama ;)
What a helpful video. Not sure if I can use Ebates in the UK but will take a look. I've heard of grammarly but not tried it yet, so will be downloading that. I love ad block, especially on social media sites like Facebook! I tend to watch RU-vid on my phone or tablet so that it doesn't affect ad revenue for creators I love 🤓
Grammarly is so great though because say you want to be a blogger but you're not good at grammar or spelling and you don't want your blog to look like a high schooler who hasn't even graduated wrote it.... Grammarly will save your ass!! I can tell you right now you will not make money from a blog using junior high texting or short hand grammar.
My only gripe about Grammarly is that you make sure you get a handle on what ever corrections the program is making for you. It's a tool, not a substitution to your beautiful brain!

I'm on a search for a good to do app. So I checked what you use and TeuxDeux looks great, but I don't have an IPhone. Do you know anything good that works for Android? Also I really like StayFocusd extension. It gives reminders and even blocks sites based on how I set it up so for example I can make sure I don't visit RU-vid while studying or I don't stay on the internet too late at night.
I am also tryna learn chinese and i have been already using something like that but it's not creating a fundamental base of that language in my mind. Any suggestions other than taking legit Chinese classes? Bc i have already considered it (as a second choice but won't be able to do so atm as circumstances won't allow me to).

fair question! being able to earn money creating videos here is an added bonus for me. if all of you guys had some sort of ad blocker and I got 0 money, I’d still create what I create. personally believe in brand experience/UX > quick money ($ from disruptive, irrelevant display ads) but since I’m using RU-vid, it’s how the platform currently operates
