i wonder if it's just because japanese products just aren't updated as frequently. people like making videos when new trendy products hit the market, but japan kind of goes against that grain (evidenced in this video by products from pre-2020!)
I love Japanese hair care! I loved the fino oil and mask the best, but also like the tsubaki premium repair black line, LUFT high damage shampoo and conditioner which is kind of newish release, and the & honey high damage line and SLEEK shampoos. Botanist is also a really good brand for their damage repair shampoo. I find that Japanese haircare works better for my hair than western ones, as Western products are very strong for my hair. I have damaged fine straight hair, and I like the way Japanese brands are more gentle and also come in 450ml pumps rather than the small 250ml ones we have here, so it always works out so much better value even with importing.
ooo I'll be checking all these out, was always interested in the tsubaki line and only tried the red packaging so i'll have to find the premo line! thanks for sharing heheh - fel x
In what way would u say strong? As in concentration or like drying shampoos and build up conditioners cs I’m looking for something along the lines of a deeply moisturising conditioner
@@heylol2667 As in very harsh and drying as western ones tend to be made for hard water and people who wash their hair every few days. In Japan, it is soft water and people wash their hair daily, so Japanese shampoos are very runny in consistency, use much more gentle cleansing agents, and come in 450ml bottles as opposed to 250mls. A lot of Japanese hair youtubers always talk about this and how harsh western ones are compared to Japanese products for these reasons. The downside is japanese shampoos are probably not enough for buildup, as they are made for daily hair washing.
I rarely ever comment on videos but I have recently found out your content and I love it! The efforts you put in are clearly visible and I know that this is going to be a useful and relaxing channel to continue watching. Please don’t stop what you are doing!!
My hair is ultra dry, I can't go a week without using hair mask. I learned that I have to use a generous amount of the Fino hair mask in order for it to work. When I use the proper amount, it does melt my hair :)
Oh interesting! I thought I was already using a lot each time, and it does work! I also always go in with a lamellar water after shampoo and before hair masking, and it is GAMECHANGING. hair feels and looks completely different, so try it out if you haven't already hehe - fel x
Love this video and all the recs. Feels like Asian beauty has been completely dominated by K-Beauty (which I love!) but it’s refreshing to see new J-Beauty that I’ve never seen before.
You're soooo right! And i was so surprised at how consistently high quality the Japanese products always are, an affordable, but they just never really market it to the masses like Korean beauty. Super interesting! - fel x
I am very curious on that Panasonic vitality skincare and then I looked at the price 😱. lol, that is out of my budget. What are your thoughts on the high frequency wand for the scalp?
@BeautyWithin thank you! Your hair always looks so lovely, so whatever recommendations you have are useful! Thank you for the informative content, and for taking the time to reply to my comment. 🙂
@@BeautyWithin Me too, that's why I appreciate your videos. 🥰 I have a relatively large amount of fine, low-porosity, curly hair. I am European, I mainly use European products. I really like Semi di lino products for curly hair and dry hair. Recently, L'oréal bond repair products have become my favorites too. 😍
I recommend washing your hair with eggs every 2 weeks. I have very fine shoulder length curly hair that I am growing out and I have pet chickens. I use 3 silkie chicken eggs (they are very small) to wash my hair. Use coldish water when you are washing your hair or else you will cook the eggs. Eggs suds up like soap due to saponins, the same thing soap has. Eggs are full of vitamins but they have protein so you don't want to use them too much. I mix up the eggs in a large cup then I fill the cup with cold water and stir it up again, then I wash my hair with it. I do not use conditioner after because it is already very moisturized and smooth. It also takes longer for my hair to get oily. Eggs are great! Don't leave them in your hair though because your scalp gets hot and it could cook the eggs.
I am Japanese and I go through a bottle of Orbis hair serum a month ❤ Cosme Decorte is the most popular makeup/ beauty brand in Japan right now! Created by Kose. Many makeup users use the brand 😊
I have that fino hair oil, good size, affordable, smells good and not too oily. Makes my hair sooo soft. Will never go back to Sephora’s hair oils again.
Love how thorough this is and explaining the ranking system! I finally got to visit Cosme Tokyo in February and was so shocked when I found out there was a second level with even more beauty products 🤣🤩
guys guys guys dont forget its mostly genetics (often 1a/1b hairtypes) and use of silicones aaa dont worry if your hair doesnt turn out good ! do your thing, good luck on your haircare journey !!
Thank you so much for the review! I was always told that i should look C-beauty for makeup, K-beauty for skincare and J-beauty for haircare. Especially that where I live the water is super hard and fir that reason I'm lossing so much hair. Thanks again!!❤
Omg you're so right, they had sooo many hair care tools!! They love their negative ion technology for frizz. I actually did end up buying A panasonic EMS scalp brush thing hahha, but haven't tried it yet so I will keep you all updated! -- fel x
I have a very oily scalp. I need to wash everyday and I have the &honey melty moist rich oil because they said it is for wavy hair. And it did NOT make my hair oily. Wow. My hair is frizzy and this oil fixed it. I'll forever use it.
I tried the viral Fino hair products and didn't like them at all. My hair is super oily but frizzy. After using the hair mask my hair was even quicker to go oily. So sad ;_;
i have been using fino hair mask for a couple months now (emptied a jar) and i am SOOOO satisfied with the result! might as well trying the oil after this :)
Thank you! Finally, HAIR CARE! One of the very few videos I've found on my search to learn more about Korean and Japanese haircare. Scent is a big thing for me so I love really colourful descriptions of how something smells. I spend a fortune on my haircare because everything I love smells divine, addictive...and I'm horrified to see how much these things all cost when I go to buy them. Ouch. But I have to have them as they're in a league of their own. Thanks for showing me some new things to try when my expensive stuff runs out.
Thank you for the detailed review! In love with Fino Hair Mask since first use last year! I was wondering purchase Fino Hair Oil for my damaged medium-thin hair with frizz. It sounds promising for damaged hair. I have been using Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Lotion for fight frizz and I need an affordable option. .
Hello, I wanted to share a different perspective on the Fino hair mask. Unlike honey collection, royal jelly production involves practices that some find concerning due to its impact on bee colonies and sustainability. It might be worth considering these ethical considerations in your review. Just wanted to share this viewpoint for broader awareness. I have dry hair and very much appreciate the insight you have shared on these different products! Thank you.
I can’t find the Orbis Essence Hair Milk anywhere in your list? It’s very confusing to find anything as the items are not added in order they were shown. I had to go to YesStyle to find it and it only gets 4 stars there 🤷🏼♀️ StyleVana doesn’t even carry Orbis 😮
I always thought that the Korean brands are the hype but I must say the very few Japanese ones I was able to try, top notch! Can you actually shop online with Cosme in Japan? I only find like sites in Japanese ... Thnkx 💙
I was looking for something like this so bad. My daughter has straight fine hair and maybe Japanese haircare would work for her hair, everything weights down her hair.
Can you please give a update on the shampoo? I’d really like to know if it works on growing your hair. I use vegamor and don’t know if it’s doing enough
Yessss - we've linked them all in the description, you can find a lot on yesstyle or stylvevana, and even amazon (but sometimes you hav to be careful of the vendors on Amazon because they charge more) - fel x
It's called Belle Cheveu! They have a few locations, I went to the yoyogi one because it was close to where I stayed in Shibuya. But make sure to book online as they only do a specific number of sessions each day :) - fel x
Hihi~ please try the Japanese brand ~ “TAKAMI” it so great, make your skin smootherererer, kill your dark spot , skin whitening and very soft, just need a week the mb your can see the difference~
i actually got them done at a random nail salon in Shibuya! but if you're in NYC I also go to a Japanese salon called M&M, because they honestly have the best quality :) - fel x
before! I use it as the first step on damp hair, and then use a hair oil afterwards :) and you can just adjust the amount according to your hair type :) - fel x
