IMPORTANT: @nuccanu has brought to my attention that same hides DO NOT stack. So for the heat resist you'll want to do Croc on one and Rawhide on the other (Pants and Chest).
i think its bugged since i tried stacking both and it did. I tried again it doesnt stack then i just re login then it stacked again. idk might be bug or just visual bug maybe, i might be wrong but its stacking on me.
This has to be a bug, i see no reason why the devs would purposely make us use 2 diffrent hides for chest and pants. ive also had the same chest and pants buffs stack so im def thinking its just a bug. also day 1 of winter the lethal rabbit was only giving normal hide now he gives more than just normal hide.
The new Stew Dish that u unlock at the last/bottom part of dish memetic gives u max stamina + 30 resist on both heat/cold. And it only needs 2 pcs of each new crop - spikemato/ice melon/sunny ginger/mint. Lasts for 1 hour and acts as ur hydration buff so u can combine this with the purple food that gives 10 more temperature resist that is also a 1 hour buff. Ez to make once u start planting ur own crops. ez to gather in the wild. Big boost. I find ice melon juice + coldium + lantern + heat resist armor doesnt always save u from intense heat. The food does wonders.
Frozen northen pike does indeed work. I already have mines made ready to go. Ill be enter the new zone with +45 because i have major food buffs for heat and cold resistance lol
@@TroyGamingtv I got mines originally in my first manibus server, way of the winter is now my 4th server so I didn't have to look for it but I'd assume it be in one of the hot zones fishing camps.
It's a server colab, you need a minimum of 10 Thermol Towers across the map at the end of the season for everyon to get extra rewards, and 10 is the minimum. It's in the Season Info tab.
Im still on Manibus and the week 5 is about to start so I'm not dropping until I get that sweet starchrom. But these videos are nice to have. I forgot about the thermal tower. I'm a solo player so rip me.
Awesome! Register on a late phase 1 server so you're not stuck in phase 1 for 7 days :) I wouldn't worry too much about the Thermal towers, there will be plenty all over the map or you can even place one solo. I'll put a guide out on it once I know more about the details.
@@TroyGamingtv Its called portable thermostat. When activated expends 1 Storage battery every 30 minutes to reduce or increase the environmental temperature within 3 meters by 20 C. (effect doesnt stack). That's the wording. I have it as an option, didn't pick it yet.

The lantern burns the Chaosium at an alarming rate i've been told (10 per second). I'll give it a try to see if it's fixed with the patch or that's intended.
Thanks for the info.. when showing a location it would be more helpful if you could please try to show the coordinate numbers to the site/area. Over Here and over there at this place and near this area showing a room/doorway in the video does not tell me much about where it really is
Thanks! I'm thinking we do, but i'm going to mess around and see if theres a way to make a neutral set with both cold and heat resist. Ill let you know. As of now I'm expecting us to need 2 and then we can just Save them to a Loadout and hot swap depending on what we are doing. Sounds like that may be a good video to put together.
Same hide stats won't stack, so croc skin on both is a waste. You're better off with croc skin on one & rawhide on the other, for 15 points of heat resist
@@alanhuynh2000testing some things. As of now I've confirmed that you can run two of the same resists as long as they are not the same hide type. i.e. bear and seal
I havent joined yeat i was supose to move at friday but havent felt like it because of this sonner ore later you have to have 2 gear set ups and you´r somewhat handicapped if you don´t run with a hive and can share
This Scenario is nothing like the first one. There is so much loot you'll be swimming in it. Everything is like Blackfell on steroids. Will be very easy for you to level up. Also, thermal towers are worldwide so in Phase 2 if you don't have a hive just plot your base down near one and you're all set. Should be tons of them everywhere. You can even do one solo if you like.
so do we need to keep two armor sets on us at all times now? one for cold and one for heat? and also move armor mods every single time I wanna teleport around the map and use heat or cold? seems like a very dumb system.
Yes and No. Theres a built in Gear swap system which you can use to switch with like one button. It saves all your mods, items and even your cradle. I'll have to put together a video on it all.
I made sure with hides to not have the same stats twice, I learned that bcz I used 1 piece of renegade and another 2 pieces of Bastille (both have reload speed bonus, that dont stack lel) kinda meh the game dont warn about this, but anyway, thanks for the video
They are memetic specializations. The Chef Knife gives you double hides when skinning and the Combo Chipset you use electronics to create an item that sells for 12k to shops in town.
The main component will be refunded back to you after the 60 min timer is up so you will just need to carry the mats to reform it into Heat or Cold depending on your situation. They can be crafted at a camp so you won't need to go back to your base to craft them.
@TroyGamingtv no doubt they did. My buddy brought over like 40 h37 lvl 4 and 5 and said he barely gets anything but gunpowder and rubber. We were hoping to have all our tier 5 materiel before phase 2
If these same hides don't stack it means I can't get +20 and +20 carry for the gold cow hides and the +15 and +15 heat resist on Valley cow hides. Good thing I also got Gold croc hides. I'l just loose one of the +20 carry and gain the silly 150% Dampened time bonus.
I wouldn't worry about getting the good hides until later in Phase 2.. even if you're 40 and ready for T5 youll still need to do strongholds for the rest. I'm willing to bet theres higher level ones that drop it regularly.
@@saadyarkhalid2651no theres 1/15 chance to get gold hides from hunting wild animals. But for me it kinda same for buffaloes i cant get it to drop a gold hide but for other animals i been getting a gold hide at the rate of 1/15. Source: i tested the drop rates and 1/15 was my outcomes
@@saadyarkhalid2651no you don’t. I have 8 of one legendary and 4 of another from farming crocodiles. Same thing for all the animals. They all have a small chance to either drop epic or legendary quality hides.
