@@FootyAdventures If you get a chance another Derby that has never happened before was drawn in the Austrian Cup. On the 26th September Red Bull Salzburg will play Austria Salzburg (their phoenix/rebel club). It's going to be an occasion!!
Sam - i have not seen the online haters crap and I will not look for it. You are a Scottish Football ambassador like no other. You are a youtube friend to many that outnumber the haters. Keep up the great work - we are behind you.
Just went in your Twitter to see what happened and can’t believe it. Don’t know how anyone could ever talk bad about you or your videos. As an American who was introduced to the game as a kid when a friend moved over here from Birmingham, I greatly appreciate all you do and showcasing all the fantastic clubs in the UK and Europe that I would never get a chance to see.
Just read that stuff on twitter. I wouldn't be too bothered by it Sam. Your style of club and local history, showcasing young fans and showing us stadiums that wouldn't really get much coverage is fantastic. No crappy gimmicks to go with it like other channels. Just a football culture nut showing other football culture nuts around the lower leagues (some big clubs) and having a top time doing it. Keep up the great work. Your videos will be watched for years to come. That car crash of an article will be forgotten next week. Looking forward already to the next video
Really enjoy the content as always! Been watching your channel for a good 6 months now and I’ve learned so much about the Scottish leagues because of your hard work! I’ve grown into a Scottish league fan because of you. My favorite team is Aberdeen and I would have not known much about them if it wasn’t for you. I like learning about the history of different teams, towns, and stadiums. Lower league videos are my favorite, such a cool vibe I wish we had here in the states. Hope you come to the U.S for a game or two someday. If you stop by St. Louis I’d show you around the city and stadium. And of course we’d have to go to a St. Louis SC game! We have a large Bosnian community and they make amazing food! Anyway keep up the good work!
Love your content mate, from a Scottish football lower league fan, you bring much needed exposure to the small teams and Scottish football as a whole. Legend.
I gave up having any interest in the top leagues once Sky took over and ruined everything with the massive greed, and I'm so glad I did. I love watching your videos Sam because they don't just contain current football stuff about lower league football, you obviously go out of your way to find interesting historical facts and trivia and I learn something new each time. I live thousands of miles away from Wales now but the video you did of Druids brought back many great memories as I used to play for them in the late seventies, early eighties ❤ Ignore the haters on Tw@tter, you're better off deleting the account!
Ignore the haters sam and keep the videos coming. And i would like you to know you help inspire me and my son to visit more grounds away with st miren and going to watch more football in different leagues cheers mate
Great to see you going to a match in my local area Sam. I'm delighted that QOS and Annan are now in the same league and we finally get a regular Dumfriesshire Derby in the SPFL. There was actually another Dumfries and Galloway Derby played yesterday in the West of Scotland League Div 3. Kello Rovers v Threave Rovers. Unfortunately Kello lost 4-1. KR have been in really terrible form to start this season. Hopefully will pick up soon.
Won’t bother with what’s said on twitter as I can guess what it’s like. Twitter is the gutter of social media and I don’t really go on there anymore. Just keep up the great work I love your videos. I’ve been to most grounds in Scotland myself, although Annan weren’t in the league at the time, and love Scottish football, I think it’s the names they’re so unique.
Great stuff as ever Sam. one of my longest day trips was to do a daytrip from Ramsgate to Dumfries to tick off Palmerston Park, a sensational ground. One of my groundhopping pals had an uncle who lived in Dover and he used to travel up to every home game
Brilliant video yet again thank you for covering the lower leagues they deserve more coverage and support thanks to you they are getting coverage keep up the great work
Always keep an eye on QoS. Once went to Dumfries when I was about 13or14 random trip up from South Yorkshire. I spotted the flood lights and asked if we could go see who's ground it was, so we drove over. While looking from the car park a guy came out of one of the doors and started talking to us and then took us on a tour around the ground. Got to go in the changing rooms, let me sit in the dugout and have a picture and told us about the history of the club. I really need to get back up and see a game. Will hopefully be moving up to Scotland in the near future so will definitely get to make regular visits.
Nice one mate, I’m glad you’ve managed to finally get to a game at Palmerston Park, it’s one of only two grounds I’ve done in Scotland and I absolutely loved it! The support behind the goal in the single terrace was class when I went, even though they lost 2-0 to Arbroath! I do really want to get to more grounds up Scotland eventually! 🏴
love ur content, very entertaining, you tell the story really well which is a difficult skill to master. You are definitely helping clubs promote their product so its not surprising to see all the support you are getting. Your enthusiasm makes me want to go out to watch some local matches. Of course there will always be people who hate or who just dislike and that's ok-people are allowed have an opinion as long as they dont express it in an abusive way. You are right to be thick-skinned as you put it.
If you can get a ticket Red Bull Salzburg are playing Austria Salzburg (their phoenix/rebel rivals) for the first time ever in the Austrian cup on the 25/6 September. It's going to be epic!!
Sorry to hear about those rude comments on Twitter Sam. As an American we never really prioritized football, but you've made me much more interested in the game over the past 3 months. I enjoy learn about the game and the people from you places you visit. Keep it up I love your content!
Great video as always but you missed a couple of things, when you were at Burns house, you were about 2 mins away from where he was buried you could have popped over and seen his mausoleum, and when Lewis Gibson came on for Queens it was father vs son, cant be too many times that has happened anywhere
Superb video . I have been to Palmerston Park a few times . Good coverage , interviews were excellent . Maybe you could have gone on the gantry opposite main stand on the other side , no pillars or posts in the way there . All good publicity for Scottish League football .
Great video mate, I hope you manage to get to a Luton Town Premier league game this season, its mad we were playing non league for 5 years Grays Athletic, Hayes & Yeading and Hyde United now we are 3 games in to playing 4 former European cup champions in a row Forest, Villa, Liverpool and to come away to Manchester United. To all non league fans, keep going, keep dreaming, football dreams can come true.
As a growing up Queens fan who lived in Annan cos Annan was always non league and my grand parents were Queens fan this was something I’ve been excited for.
The Berwick Rangers fanzine From The Grove To The Harrow would often complain that their fixtures with Stranraer were arranged for the Christmas and Easter holidays, as if the clubs were local rivals. They pointed out, correctly, that Manchester is closer.
If you haven't read the article, don't bother. They are basically accusing him of being a narcissist because he makes content about their club and didn't specifically ask them about it. Like they are the gate keepers of the club, and as such are the most important part of everything to do with the club. If anyone has known a narcissist they will know, that's usually the first person to call someone else a narcissist. This article is a great example of that.
Love watching your videos been watching for a long time now, but never imagined you coming to see my local team Queens unreal 👌 hope you enjoyed it and come back sometime for another game, maybe do Annan vs queen's at Annan 👌
I remember going to a Clyde v Thistle derby (as they used to be) over 20 years ago. Both teams were pretty useful but had started the season poorly. Clyde started well but found themselves a goal down against the run of play. The Thistle fans started singing, 'Going down, going down, going down' pointing at the Clyde fans, who replied with typical humour, 'So are we, so are we, so are we' to the same tune in reply. It was hilarious. Those were the days 🤣🤣
I deleted twitter when Musk bought it so not sure about the stuff you mentioned, however just want tae say I really enjoy your channel, keep yer chin up mate.
Hi Sam, what app do you use to find out what fixtures are on? Am in Barcelona this weekend coming and plan on taking in a match if possible. All big main teams are playing away but got to be some way of finding a game on somewhere. Any help appreciated mate ⚽⚽⚽
Last thing I had you down as Garry was a narcissist. Now I know I’m going to eat more carrots and all my greens. The last time I had a nasty cyst it stung my big toe right in the middle between the webby bit.
Just like to say that you are doing a great job and the abuse that people get on social media shows the abusers have a serious problem don't think that they'd have the courage to say it face to face.
Just read the despicable attack on you by the pathetic Motherwell fanzine (written by teenagers I guess?). Don't take it to heart pal. There are thousands of us from all over the globe that love your vlogs and content. Keep up the good work.
What an absolute embarrassment to Scotland football that fanzine is. They haven't even bothered doing a bare minimum of research (i.e. simply watching a few of your videos in full) to see how much you do to promote Scottish football. As someone watching from the other side of the world I would never have heard of most of the clubs you visit if not for this channel. Aside from the football you're also showing us the towns/countryside/people of Scotland, the Scottish tourism organisation should be thanking you too. I notice the article has no authors name, how courageous of him to attack you while hiding himself! The name of the the fanzine gives a lot away too, created by grumpy old fart/s, who just find it easier to see you as another of "those young irritating narcissist vloggers" instead of switching on the brain and actually listening to what you say. Keep up the great work and ignore these muppets.
@@lgs4692 You'd need a time machine for that to happen as one half of the Old Firm died in 2012. Even Celtic FC don't promote it. But I'd happily keep your rancid hate-filled intolerant fans out of my stadium.
I am Queen of Soth fan based in Bolton from Wigan actually. Being 68 now and have mobility problems I haven't been able too get too Palmeston for a few years. Loved seeing the Old Girl on your vlogs.
Thanks for getting there and reporting from Palmerston Park. I really like Annan and Queens but I am a First foremost a Carlisle fan, who really enjoys his trips to Galabank. Annan is a lovely place and a hugely friendly place to enjoy football. Peter Murphy is a brilliant manager/coach and human being. It’s a shame Carlisle were at home
An old tv show called porridge one of the favourite quotes was “don’t let the bastards grind you down “ nearly 180k subs says you are doing great work 👍
Scottish league one in 2018/19 contained Montrose, Arbroath, Forfar and Brechin. 16 Angus derbies in one league in one season. Then you add in another 4 because Raith and East Fife were also in that league brings it up to 20. You could see most of the matches travelling by bike!
I went up to see Queens play Gretna & had to drive across past all these Gretna fans with living the dream scarves on. Glory hunting bastards as the Queens fans sang at them. Gretna won & it was a miserable day. I'd have loved to be there when Queens won at Gretna. That won't get played again for a long time. 😄
I can't believe anyone would snipe at you online but that is a sad indictment on society and social media. Keep up the great work, best channel of its type on RU-vid
