People forget how good Nakamura free kick was he beat Van Der Sar at full stretch nearly 30 yards out and he hit the inside netting people talk about a perfect penalty hitting the side netting and Nakamura done that from miles away and the angle it was from too. World Class free kick
“Celtic, like Barcelona, are more than a football club. Our clubs are a symbol of a culture and community that has not always been made welcome in their respective countries.” - Xavi
Celtic are nothing like Barcelona. Its an insult to compare us to that corrupt shithouse. Celtic are more than a club, Barca are somehow like us due to some tenuous link to catalonia and a faux oppression. Barca are financially doped corrupt cunts, not even comparable to Celtic
@@clemfandango619 Ha! You do know the Scottish Nationalist Party have had a huge majority in the Scottish Assembly for the last half decade. That's people from both sides voting to leave the UK. Well done son, pat on the head.
Liverpool fan here in my view the greatest achievement in European football is when Celtic won in the 60’s with all the players coming from within 30 miles of the stadium unbelievable, never be repeated 💥💥💥💥💯👌🏆
@@biggiesmalls5895 One European trophy over half a century ago. When you won that European cup, whistling kettles, gramophones & ear trumpets were cutting edge technology.
@@biggiesmalls5895 he is saying what Celtic did in 67 won't be repeated again as every team has players from all over the world. He wasn't saying anything about the 5 trophies we won🤔🍀
Early 2000's Celtic was a beast of a team. Our 2003 UEFA Cup final in Sevilla against them was undoubtly the toughest of them all in our history for FC Porto.
@@stefen4134 And Strachan's team never got to a European final. It's subjective to many things. We were poor away from home in the CL under both from what I recall.
I'm a rangers fan and I feel the same. In both our runs to the final we had to beat/ draw with giants like Dortmund, Barcelona, Lepzig, Lyon, Wender Bremin, Villareal. It was amazing, Manchester and Savile. 👍🏻🏴
I mean i'm no a celtic fan but i disagree with that, celtic are the richest and most successful they've ever been and are sitting top of the table. For smaller teams in the spfl it's an absolute nightmare to play the old firm in general because 99% of the time it's a loss written in stone. The club budgets just aren't even nearly close. Just to clarify, i'm not saying they *weren't* good back then because they were.
Dude that ran on the pitch was getting death threats for months after it, all he done was tapped the keeper in the face with his hand, people where over reacting as per usual "what if he had a knife" etc 🤣My seat was directly in line with the goal and seen the whole thing.
So many outstanding memories here for Celtic fans. Tony Watt’s goal and Forsters immaculate performance vs Barcelona.. David Marshall’s performance in the second leg of the 03/04 Barca game should be in here… Shinsuke Nakamura’s free kick vs Man Utd, what a goal.. and Hartson vs Liverpool, awesome finish. Great vid.
6:09 nothing makes me laugh more than the Milan keeper Dida getting tapped by a fan then chasing him realising he's not catching him so goes down holding his face and gets stretchered off with an ice pack on his face 😂😂 (if I remember correctly he got a 2 match ban for this) 😂
Aberdeen 10% of Celtics income - Beat Bayern Munich on route to playing Real Madrid off the park in the Cup Winners Cup final . Followed by European Super Cup Win over Hamburg. No Scottish team will ever follow that.
@@d04me yes but we all know thae gap between Aberdeen and Celtic income was way less back then and the gap between them both and real Madrid was less as well
@@d04me that was 1983, back when Celtic's average attendance was under 28,000, Celtic Park was primarily terraces, and money hadn't taken over the game.
What's impressive for me on that Celtic vs Barcelona match aside from Celtic winning it despite being dominated was how Fraser Forster stopped 3 of Messi's curved shots. If Messi did the curved shot, including free kicks, you would bet your money on a goal. But, Fraser Forster has read the trajectory of the shot before it came close to him and stopping it was no big matter as well.
NAKAMURA to do it twice was Ridiculous! Against a Great Utd team! How things have changed in Europe unfortunately for Celtic! Still great nights HH 🍀👌⭐
How come I’d don’t see Celtic fans celebrating like this anymore in Europe when we score. Miss the celebrations too many people rather pull there phone out instead of enjoying the celebrations for the goal
That was one of the greatest nights in scottish football history well done celtic from a very non sectarian jambo you guys made me proud to be scottish that night v.barca and nakamuras free kick v man utd was outrageous 👍
The whole world of football forgets When Celtic and rangers have strong teams in the Scottish League. The competition is like no other and they produce some of the best footballing side the world has ever seen. When the old firm produce teams the can compete with the biggest and best teams and players in the world. We have provide it on the big stage many a time
Great nights those Barca wins were very special such a great team we had not till after do you realise how good we were Parkhead was Really rocking those euro night's 🍀💚
@@goodpeopleoftheworldunite nope, that is in their history. Celtic has beaten Barcelona only once, fact. But please keep trying, it's quite amusing seeing you repeatedly make a fool of yourself
What about the 4:3 vs Juve? Loved watching this though. Especially vs Man Utd and Barca when those teams were still at their best.
@@MultiJoe84 Did you see the game against Buckie Thistle? The stadium was half empty yet he's here saying you have more supporters than anyone else/ You haven't even got enough fans to get a full house ffs
I was at the barca game back row lisbon lion stand 4 of us unreal what a night the celtic tv camera man left his camera and was jumping up and down with us fkn amazing night HH
That was the time that everybody knew that there is no way that Celtic gonna win Champions League bot at the same time everyone knew that Celtic can beat their favourite team xD
Those were great days Lubo Henke Stan Lambert Hartson Naka big Sutton greatest memories ever had yo live through our pain of the nineties and tha was sore but this success has more than made up for it CTID HH 🍀💚
They have reached the knockout stages of the Champions league more times than The Rangers in its current format Strachan did it then Lennon did it.....
Always funny me how big teams like Milan, Liverpool and Barca resort to dirty play and try to injure players when the game isn’t going their way. Even Rijkaard was wanting a bit.
