CC is the reason I started playing guitar! The most underrated, under appreciated rockstar guitarist, riff master, of all time. The guy is a legend!

The Life Goes On solo CC did is fantastic.

All I have to say is CC Deville is a VERY successful guitar player. 40 years of playing in stadiums, arenas, number one hits, and several world tours! All the sh!t talk about him is usually from less successful people.

CC is the most underrated guitarist of that era maybe of all time

CC is not Kotzen by any means...... however, CC has played some very memorable solos... and I have seen the guy shred... he's actually a very capable player who is humble and sells himself short.... but if you base what you know about CC on his Poison work alone.... you're haven't got the full picture.

CC is awesome. Met him when he got back in the band. He was jogging in the lot before the show.

Joey that was awesome of you when someone brings up Eddie's greatest from back in the day you made sure to include Randy Rhoads in the mix cause he was most definitely always the constant student of his craft and the dedication as a musician he put forth into the instrument and his education far exceeded 99% of his contemporaries learning music theory and song structuring that was so apparent in his compositions later in life .the guy was reading and writing music on sheets under the age of 10 .along with learning classical guitar and music also at such a young age .his mother had him taking lessons not just on the guitar .he was taught piano and several other instruments ranging from strings like the violin to brass .trombone saxophone .trumpet flute .he wasn't just a guitar player he was a true musician .(there is a difference) and all this came out in his song writing and compositions .so many guitar players from these 80s hair metal bands were greatly influenced by Eddie and Randy both .as such a huge Rhoads fan myself its great to hear him get the praise he so greatly deserves

CC has the best solos, for me Life Goes On is the best solo, very sentimental and melodic

I remember being at a music store in NYC and I wanted to try out the new Vai guitar when it first came out. There was a guy tryin it before me and I politely asked if I could try it next. I started playing another guitar and we soon started jamming. He asked if I knew any warrant. So we started playing a few songs. I played it completely different than he did. We were joking about how songs can be played differently but still sound almost the same. Then he asked if I was seeing them play later in the night. I said yeah, that was the reason I was there. He said maybe you will see me. I said I doubt it, there will thousands of people there. He laughed and said I think you will see me. I laughed and said who knows maybe. With that he leaves and the manager walks over and asks if I knew who I was playing with. I said I had no idea but he was nice guy and was obsessed with Warrant. He laughed and said that is because he is one of the guitarists in Warrant. Turns I saw him but he didnt see me. I was in the nose bleed section.

C.C. absolutely smoked that "Cherry Pie" solo! And it was a great move on Warrant's part to help broaden them to a wider audience. Their tone drastically improved from the 1st record to the 2nd.

I’ve been playing guitar since the 80’s and never fully got the CC hate. I mean I’m a Kiss fan too and I saw some similarities to Ace, but with a much more modern twist at the time. He wrote some good songs and solos. Was always a ton of fun when I saw them live. People just hated Poison or at least snotty guitarist that were told he was a bad player. I kept trying to find out what they hated so much. Most likely just an image thing. What did they want from him? Did he have to be some virtuoso to be accepted? To me, he had tons of style to his playing. He’s gotten a bad rap for decades and I think it’s undeserved for a rock guitar player. Back then someone always had to be the best or whatever. He sold many millions doing his thing and perhaps some players thought they were as good as him and probably were, but there are other factors that count just as much as being some virtuoso player is a pop hard rock band.

I had Joey's FELIX guitar(and other Warrant guitars) at my house for a few days so they wouldn't disappear while the Flight Cases were being fixed after the equipment truck rolled off the road and all the A&S cases flew out when the roof ripped open. I always considered CC to be very under rated.

i don't get the cc hate. in a time when so many guitar players sounded extremely similar, cc is one of the guys i can identify in just a couple notes. they say he's sloppy, i say nobody else has his phrasing and tone...

CC Deville is a bad ass guitar player. it's Ironic that Joey A. mentioned CC taping into Randy Rhoads stuff, cause I've always thought CC played like Randy. Not in a mimicking way, but his approach and flow like Randy.

Yeah, I always thought CC got a bad rap because he is mostly a blues style player in a time where shredders were starting to become the "cool" thing. His playing is great though.

warrant guys are all about the pay check.. and there is nothing wrong with that. Joey and Erik never played a lead. It was all studio musicians.

C.c. may not be george lynch or Steve vai but he's a more than capable guitarist and his legacy speaks for itself. A shame how much flack poison and warrant got in the 90's because they were both good bands who's music had substance. It wasn't all fluff.

Warrant and Poison are 2 of many bands that Beavis and Butthead made fun of 😂😂😂😂. Hair bands didn't do very well in the music critique on that comedy show. 😂😂😂😂😂.

cherry pie was and is a great song but there is no way any rythym parts even approach EVH. not at all. funny how the years pass, nostalgia colors opinion. still a great song

That hair band era of the mid 80s to late 80s sucked and was a total joke and I can see why a 90s comedy show like Beavis and Butthead made fun of that crap with bands like Poison, Warrant, Winger, Cinderella etc. If it wasn't for thrash metal, especially bands like Metallica's and Slayer's new music in the later 1980s or the great rock musicians and bands of rock and metal from the 1960s, 1970s are early 1980s that made newer music in the later 1980s, the later 1980s would have been totally lame. I graduated from high school in 1987 and was in college in the later 1980s and that what was passed as rock with the glam hair bands was a total embarrassment for what is considered hard rock. I thought rock was basically dead until the 1990s when Grunge, the newer metal bands, especially the prog metal bands of the 1990s and especially the metal coming out of Europe made rock and metal great again.
