🔥Everything Wrong With Raffine, Scheming Seer. 

A few points I didn't expand on: -Raffine also acts as a comeback card, as it can dig deep for specific answers. This gives it a ton of versatility at different points in the game so it will almost always be very useful. -Raffine can still snowball the game when played past turn 3, which makes it one of your best topdecks when ahead/even, no matter which turn it comes down on.

Why do they always have this in the opening hand?

What I've learned is that I should play Raffine if I want to be competitive...sadly.

I've only been playing standard on MTGA for about 3 days this split, I mostly play historic brawl. Built a nasty esper legends deck with Chimil the Inner Sun and I gotta say, if you're going first and go T2 Thalia, T3 Raffine, T4 Sheoldred, T5 Ao / Bat God, it's basically unbeatable unless your opponent is cheesing you somehow.

Raffine is bonkers, but the top 5 meta deck don't seem to care. Want to talk about hostage? We need Meathook back to get rid of these lame ass aggro decks that don't want a game to last longer than 2-3 turns. >_

It's almost unbelievable they haven't banned this, when they banned invoke despair and the other cards, I thought raffine would be there too. World championship was the pinnacle of the issue with Raffine, maybe it is because she will rotate next year I suppose.

Excellent! She's one of the problems of the legends deck.

Everything in magic has counterplay which is the beauty of the game. You can use cards that gain control of it like grafted identity or trickster god heist before it gets out of hand with the connive triggers or you can hold up mana to use counter spell on it since it provides so much card advantage and a flying body, do what you can to slow them down. esper does have access to busted boardwipes and you have to have a plan in case and think worst case to plan ahead. Raffine cant stay on the board longer that two/three turns unchecked and make sure to bring graveyard hate because he’s also great at setting up with reanimation strategies. Unlicensed hearse and agatha soul cauldron can help with that

Raffine meet cut down,… cut down this is Raffine While Raffine is good, I feel he is viewed as being more powerful when played against. The threat of him creating card selection is more intimidating than he really is in some cases.

if u remove raffine u will complain about something else....card is fine for standard
