I decided to get one of these with two 6amp batteries. Your review is very accurate regarding its performance and best use case. For me it’s to suck up large leaves on the concrete footpath and grass nature strip. During the warmer months this is almost a twice daily job. I have been using a blower and then picking them up, this will still be the best method when there are lots of leaves or use the mower if there’s LOTS of leaves, but the vacuum works very acceptably for lighter daily clean ups. It’s a satisfying job and although not quick, once the leaf is sucked up that’s the end of it, unlike the blowing method which is only 1 part of the clean up process. I also like that it’s not too noisy, it’s noticeably quieter than my Makita brushless blower. For my use case it gets a 👍🏼 but for larger properties with more demanding needs it’s probably better to use a blower and either pick the pile up or include the mower in the clean up process. The 36 volt vacuum may be more powerful but I think it’s too big and very cumbersome.

Too small and under powered. If you are coming from a 120 volt corder unit this unit won’t cut it. The Black and Decker Leaf Hog is a beast. Looks like 2 X 18 volt vac is a must.

@rickclink9196 Thank you very much for the feedback! Yes, that's understandable of course. This cordless leaf vacuum is not comparable with a corded device. However, Makita also has a 36 V device on offer, which is more powerful but also somewhat heavier. There is already a video on this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kQZDNku7v6k.html Kind regards

I generally love Makita tools, but this is basically just a toy!

Many thanks for your feedback! The device is definitely recommended for small areas and corners! Otherwise, if you need more power, I would go for the larger 36V version. The video is already online: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kQZDNku7v6k.html Best regards
