With the cost of everything going up, idk how some people can still afford to still do this job. We are owed. No wonder why we need overtime to survive. No work life balance. Hope this CONTRACT is completed soon.
Contract update: The National Business Agents are leaving for Washington on Wednesday. They are to review the proposed tentative agreement Thursday and Friday and vote on whether or not to send out to the Membership to vote on. 1 expect them to vote yes and then materials will have to be printed to send out to every member. In the meantime expect to see a lot of opinions and possibly misinformation on social media (as if that is anything new). I am attending the Presidents meeting October 21 and 22. If we get additional information I will do my best to let you all know.
He loves teasing us. How the hell its taking this long?? Maybe they are working out the fuckery with this new janky ass insurance. I mean if the insurance is going up like people are speculating. This new raise would have to be stupid high. 😂😂
We gonna get peanuts, cause after us its apwu. No hate on them but we should not agree on first rough draft. This will also delay apwu. And will look bad for the usps. The apwu does not have a strike clause???
I’m a new cca. Doesn’t seem like it’s worth it to join the union. I think starting pay would need to be at least $23 or I can’t justify it. I’m going without healthcare at the moment to save money, since this job has been a pay cut for me. I’m planning to get healthcare this November, but union dues on top of that are too much.
Believe me even at $23 dollars an hour it’s trash that’s what I make. I’m getting ready for my first 80 hour paycheck it’s going to be around $1200 every two weeks me and my wife are really struggling to pay bills with that kind of money. It has also been a huge pay cut at FedEx ground I didn’t get benefits but I was bringing home $850-$1000 dollars a week not $550-600 it’s a joke. it’s either we work 10-25 days straight 12 hour days to make money or become regular the pay drops tremendously.
Thanks for all you do, we're all just patiently waiting to see, stay patient my friend, hang in there, it's taken this long, it better be really good, wait and see, that goes for all of us.
@@MailmanSyed thanks. It was pretty tough at first but I’ve been having some better days. The pay is just too low for the responsibilities new people have. I want a raise comparable to other trades and crafts and a shorter time to top pay. Started here in my mid-40’s and sometimes I think it was a poor decision financially. I was making good money, but had no benefits. Maybe I’m bad at math, but I’m hoping it pays off in the long run. Definitely a difficult job at first.
@@ClarenceJones-uf9dh yeah, I need to work 50-60 hours per week at cca pay to support a family of two, no kids. It doesn’t leave room for much else, but I’m happy that I’m working and have a great wife. She’s going to get a part-time job next year. That’ll help, but we’re waiting for her green card to be processed. We started making a budget and keeping track of expenses at the grocery store. Last month was $700 spent on groceries, so just under $100/week, per person. Groceries for the month are a week’s pay, then the mortgage, insurances, and utilities take up another two weeks pay. If I’m lucky, I can save one week’s pay, but that only if I make the overtime hours.
I hear you saying now we need to stay positive there's not much we can really do he's our president but that's not true we might not be able to strike but our friends and family can and we don't have to be quiet we don't have to sit patiently and take this I think the time for patience is well past due
I don't think so, any increase is gotta be across the board. Regardless of your new or old timer, you've earned everything you make, and a new person with the current times, inflation needs it.
Not that I have anything against PSE or Clerks I love the ones I work with like family but they actually got their raised they make more than we do now
Look at pay chart and compare table one to table 2. I am currently at step L. Started as a CCA in 2014. Became regular in 2015. Have co workers that started in 2012. So they are close to being at top pay. If you look at different pay grades it adds up. @MailmanSyed
