For 4 days I worked almost nonstop. Unfortunately I wasnt successful. My boxes were bigger than the braids size. I will keep working to achieve this style. Thank you.

Update... I was able to complete my box braids. Not bad once you make decent parts and get the 3rd braid wrapped around what is crochet inside box. I am now wearing my 2nd completion. It looks even better than the 1st time 😎

I've been Braiding my own hair for over 30 years now. In a previous video, Tupo uses rubber bands to separate her parts. I tried that for the first time with some jumbo Twists I did on myself and few days ago and THE METHOD IS A GAME CHANGER 4 REAL! Thanks Tupo!

Thank you so much for this video. I had a stroke and had major issues with gripping my 7 year olds hair. This has been the only tutorial that actually got me to grip and add braid hair with ease. I've braided my own hair since I was 19 (over 40 years now) and edge fatigue caused me to give it a rest for the last 2 years. Even the crochet snatched my edges in the very front after awhile. I miss the braids and my hubby loves them on me. This rubber band method will save my front hairline and still allow me to wear them. I'm excited to give this a try!!
