About time someone made a good video on these type of shocks. Thank you so much for this video.

Hi! Thanks for nice comment :) This shock is already in one piece without any oil or air leakage. It looks much better than before :D Last, 3rd video (assembly and oil change) is almost ready. We are also preparing instruction in PDF to download ... it should be available in 2-3 days :) It's time to finish this "project" and start new one :D

@@DawidMartasMotoAdventures I change oil on my shock yesterday after seeing this video. I did not change bladder positioning(Original), how ever i pumped it up the bladder and let the air out while refilling(5W racing fork oil) from the removed compression valve. After a few tries of refill, i manage to get all the air out and i tried it out last night. My bike feels better than new after this. I bought a race tech endcap. Race tech recommend 210 PSI nitrogen pressure, but think the shock feels way better with 150 psi. My bike is a CBR 900 RR SC 33 from 1997 with 150.000 km on the original shock. I so happy to ride the bike again after this rebuild. Yet again! great video and explaining...keep them coming

Good job! :D In old Africa Twin (RD03, RD04, RD07) you can also change the oil through compression valve. But in RD07A there is no valve - so there is a problem :D Anyway ... good job, you made it and probably saved some $$ :D

Dzięki za dobre słowo :) Btw. nieźle poganiasz tego X-motosa :) Zadowolony z zakupu? Ostatnio myślałem nad jakimś chinolem 250 aby katować koło domu i mieć do zabawy. Na takie jazdy szkoda mi XR którą traktuję bardziej jako turystyczne enduro. (Pominę fakt, że serwis Hondy przy byle czym bije po kieszeniach xD)

Hi! There was a little problem with this new hose connecting reservoir and shock absorber body ... it was extremely slowly leaking oil through a copper washer - it started to be visible after 24h. This problem was solved after replacing the copper washer to a new one and torquing it a little harder. This shock is over pressured now to 20 bar and for last few days it looks fine :D Now we are preparing instruction, translations (PL/EN/DE) and packages with parts ... I think it should be ready to buy in next week. Now we have 9 seal kits, 8 air can caps and 3 piston rods, but we are able to make more kits if it will be nesesery. There will be also video from assembly process step by step, it is almost ready. This repair kit is for RD07A - we need to check it with RD07, RD04, RD03. (I have old notes from my RD07 and it looks like it should be ok). Have a nice day! :)

Are you guys still selling the rebuilt kits?

why did you pull the piston almost all way out and not all the way before putting the bladder in?

Is there a rebuild kit for tear monoshock on yamaha xj600f 1991 51j?

Hi! I have no idea. There is problem with rebuild kits for old bikes. In XJ600F I see no external reservoir and I think it makes it more complicated to rebuild.

Thanks for your response. How do I decide upon a newer replacement? Same length and fittings I guess???

Yes :) And the spring stiffness is also important. You should use shock from bike with similar weight. Spring from lightweight cross will not work with heavy bike, it will go too much down under load and there will be risk of compressing it to the limit :) Hard spring in light bike will limit wheel travel.

Thanks for your invaluable advice. Brilliant advice. Excellent.

Does the spring have to be same length or just from similarly weighted bike
